Orchard hotels & places to stay

Mandarin Orchard Hotel is one of my favorite hotels in Singapore because it is situated in the heart of one of the best and renown shopping areas of the world, Orchard Road and its surrounding areas. The Orchard Area meets all the shopping needs of all levels from the most expensive to the more affordable ranges of products of all tastes and fashion. And Orchard also has got the food and drinks outlets that cater to all taste buds too. If visitors are movie buffs; three great movie theatres (with mutiple screens) are located wthin a stone throw away from the hotel too. Services of the Mandarin Orchard are some of the best that any hotel in the world could offer. For example sheltered porches for cars or buses to stop and discharge or pick up passengers, unlike many so called great hotels in the world, when it rains or snows, you have to brave the m rain and snow to reach your hotel main entrance. The rooms are huge and tastefully done to delight any body's stay. I strongly recommend this hotel to visitors to Singapoire.

we visited singapore for our honeymoon trip. and i believe that one of the best decisions, which we made for our honeymoond trip was to stay in crystal club room of grand park orchard hotel. the grand park orchard hotel is located in a very convenient location, so you can go anywhere of singapore in 1 hour via bus or metro. it faces takeshimaya and paragon, so you can enjoy your shopping anytime when you need. i promise your wife will love it. also, takeshimaya has underground way to orchard station. so you do not need to worry about the famous hot and humid weather of singapore. the crystal club has wonderful tea, very best staffs, delicious food, and good services - but the cocktail night was so so. the staffs are very well-trained, educated, and friendly. the food - breakfast -was delicious. the staffs knows what i need and they are very helpful. finaly, the crystal club room has a laudary service of 2 cloths for free everyday, which was very good!!!!! it has gym and free water at gym; however, it is pretty small and does not have workout cloths. the hotel room was beautiful; but i felt that room was relatively small comparing to other 5 star hotels in singapore. but, it is not as small as other singapore hotels. if i have other chance to visit singapore with my wife, i will surely stay that hotel, grand park orchard hotel.

The primary reason we chose this hotel was for its location and price. At its price, the location can't be beat. Its about a 5 minute downhill walk to Orchard (nearest mall is the Paragon). The hotel is located on a street with a bit of an incline, so walking back uphill to the hotel can be a slight challenge if you've spent the last 4 hours walking around Orchard road and its malls. I was travelling with my 60+ mother, so we stopped a bit when walking back. We booked via Agoda and I didn't have any problem checking in. I just showed the confirmation and the reception had no problem looking for my booking. Only concern was that I had to wait a few hours for a non-smoking room with two single beds. I arrived at the hotel about 11am and they told me that the room would be ready by about 130pm. No problem, I just left my bag at the concierge and went strolling along Orchard. Well, stroll around Orchard I did and I made it back by 5pm. Stayed for 3days/2nights. Hotel is typical 3-4 star, with a big room and good enough beddings/pillows. The room was cleaned up nicely during our 2nd day. My only minor disappointment was that the cable tv had very few channels. We usually came back to the hotel from shopping at around 10pm anyway so I really didnt need to watch TV that much. I didn't have any complaints to the staff, as I found nothing to complain about. York hotel is a great place to stay if you want to be within Orchard at an affordable price.

This hotel is in the best location if you want to be near Orchard Road. It was right in the middle of orchard road but slightly further back so its away from the noisy busy streets of orchard road. Right in front of the hotel is a great little side street which is open all day and all night serving fresh seafood, satay skewers, hainan chicken rice and a lot of other yummy things for a cheap price. The hotel was very clean, and our room was perfect. we were on the top floor so the room was very quiet. the hotel lobby staff were amazing also. We had the best stay there and would definately stay again.

As a family of three (two adults and one 7 year old) we wanted a hotel of quality at a reasonable price in a convenient location. We found all that and more at the Concorde Hotel Singapore – perfect for our quick Singapore business+leisure trip. Located at the "lower" end of Orchard Road, the hotel is spacious and fashionably renovated. Large open atrium lobby (with internal glass lifts) gives spacious feel. The service was exemplary from check-in/out; the concierge desk was efficient and friendly, and the Premier Lounge staff were great. Pay the extra few $$ and book a Premier Room – you'll get access to the Premier Lounge – breakfast, all day coffee/tea/snacks, evening drinks, speedy check-in/out and the Premier Rooms are more top floor, spacious and beautifully decorated. Despite no "view", the location makes up for it. Located above a shopping mall (everything from shoes to a food-hall/hawkers stands), the Concorde is an easy one block walk to Dhouby Ghaut MRT station, with taxis at the front door. Five mins walk up Orchard Rd and you're in the thick of shopping & fod heaven – from typical hawkers stands to 5 star gourmet dining. The Tour Desk in the lobby is linked to one of the large local travel companies - the staff are helpful and efficient and you can buy tickets to attractions (e.g. Singapore Zoo, Universal Studios etc) cheaper than at the destinations themselves. The free Universal Studios shuttle bus stops at the hotel on the half hour, and the Singapore Attractions Express Bus will cost you only $S5 (adult) each way to the zoo ... sure beats the cab fare. The hotel's restaurant is first class (and very reasonably priced) - popular with local diners as well as hotel guests. All in all - a great Singapore hotel option!!

after researching for 2 week for a hotel to stay close to orchard road i decided to stay in royal plaza on scotts due to its good reviews and fair price -compared to other hotels in orchard the service was top notch, the hotel is smaller compared to other hotels in orchard therefore people to help you with everything is always available location was good, not really along orchard but you got a mall on your left and right and a 24 hr starbucks and mcdonalds in front the wifi and complimentary mini bar is a super plus, you dont get that in other hoteks

This is a stylish and historic five star hotel near the heart of Singapore, the Orchard road. The Orchard MRT station is within 5 ~ 7 minutes walk, and there are many shopping malls, supermarkets, restaurants, and everything you might need around you. So, the location is very good. We stayed at the Parklane split-level studio. It's in a different building, and looks a bit more dated than the main hotel block. But it provides very spacious room - enough for 4 people or even more, it you're willing to pay for the extra bed. The split level studio is well equipped with kitchen and even washing machine, which is very helpful in the hot and humid weather of Singapore. The bathroom is also very clean and spacious. Some weaknesses are there, too. The building and the room itself are a bit dated. It needs renovation, but still, it is very well equipped, and it doesn't look cheesy. The room doesn't have a good view, either. We're on level 4, but I think other rooms will be the same. So, don't expect too much about its view. The staff are very nice and helpful. I'd give five stars to them. The pools are nice, too. Don't forget to bring swimwear with you. You won't be disappointed. Overall, it was very satisfactory, and I'd love to stay there again if I travel to Singapore with my family in the future.

We arrived earlier than the check in time and the Manger on Duty Mr. Alfonso checked for an available room and he let us check in prior to 3pm. We loved everything about this hotel, the location, friendly staffs, cleanliness, food and all! I wonder there are haters who gives negative reviews about the attitude of the staffs in this hotel. There was one who said that the door greeter and the receprionist did not greet them so he raged negative comments already. Next time why don't you try to be nice, if they did not greet you, then take the initiative to greet them and put a smile on other peoples face. Everything will work together for good for those who are KIND and PATIENT. Even the housekeeping, they tend to greet us everytime we see them. Maybe there is something wrong with your attitude too that is why. Haters really going to hate. 😂 Anyway, this hotel is one of the best Hotels in Orchard. Very convenient, near 2 bus stops. Near the 2 MRT Stationd. Excellent stay for us. Thank you Hotel Chancellor.

My wife and I frequently travel to Singapore but this was the first time we stayed at the Ascott Orchard Hotel as we were not aware the hotel could accommodate short term staying guests. We were very impressed by its sleek modern architecture, its quiet and serene environment (very different than other hotels in the Orchard area) as well as the welcome extended to us by the hotel staff who made great efforts to find us a room even though we had arrived quite early in the morning. Our Studio Executive room with a large double bed was comfortable, very well equipped with all amenities including a microwave oven and had a large bathroom with a great shower area. Also worth mentioning was the Soundbar placed below the TV, which you do not find in many hotels in Singapore. So overall, we had a great stay at the Ascott Orchard Hotel and would not hesitate to return when we visit Singapore again the the future.

It was the best hotel in Orchard, even better than the other 5 star hotel around Orchard that I had ever stayed before. Room is clean, bed was very comfort, the restaurant serves wide variety of seafood and the swimming pool is rather spectacular. Everything feels very new in this hotel. The only slight problem with the room was with the television which broke down when I came back to my room, but fixed quickly within 5 minutes by the technician and there are not much variety of channel selection as well. Nonetheless, I'll be looking forward to stay at this hotel in near future and

A superb friendly services from all the staffs from the front door to the housekeeper, it still maintains its 5 star quality very nicely, the room size is unlike the new hotels in SG & the cleanliness is extraordinaire. The buffet in the restaurant is halal. The only thing is that the pool is on the next building so you have to go down & go across through the mini garden. But overall if you are considering a 5* hotel in orchard better choose this one.

Orchard Road Service Apartments has all. Gym, Swimming Pool, Excellent Rooms with Modular Kitchen with all utensils, Fridge, Washing machine with daily house keeping. Excellent Service and all in budget. I really enjoyed 5 star experience in this service apartments. It is connected with Orchard Road and Metro Station is just 200 meters away and all is connected with near by Mall - Orchard Central and The CentrePoint. Lovely Experience and will definitely live again for my next visit.

Our 4 nights stay with Orchard Hotel was great. We stayed at 2x Superior rooms as our boys stayed on the other room. The rooms were very clean and the beds were really cozy and comfortable to sleep in. The cleaner as we requested cleaned our rooms almost everyday. When we arrived the friendly Filipina staff, Mel checked us in and we requested that our 2 rooms be right next to each other. We got the requested rooms thanks to Mel. The following day I inquired with the Hotel's tour desk and we booked for our Sentosa, Night Safari and the Cheng Ho Dinner Cruise. On the times that we were not joining the local tours, we've been walking from our hotel down to Orchard Road. We basically entered most of the buildings and had been in and out of all the boutiques and high end shops. Gosh!!!! My leg hurts but it was a good excercise. During weekends we could see lot of Filipinos around Orchard Road. We tried taking the MRT experience going to Clark Quay to eat a crabby lunch at Jumbo Restaurant and then after a big meal we walked to Chinatown. The hotel's location was great. We just have to walk towards the road to start our trail going down to Orchard Road. On our last day we tried having lunch at the 2nd level Chinese Rest. They have a good selection of food there. Yum-cha's good too. Downstairs at the Cafe they have a very nice buffet lunch and dinner. I just looked on the food selections and they were nice too. We didn't try it, next time we will. Our overall experience with Orchard Hotel was an A plus. We will recommend to our family and friends to stay there when they visit Singapore. We like Singapore. It is so clean and quiet and feels so safe to travel around and very similar to our experience at Orchard Hotel. SEE YOU NEXT TIME IN ORCHARD HOTEL. All the best to all of you guys. As an academic I am in Singapore for 2-3 days perhaps 4-5 times annually. Singapore is generally expensive, but there are three places I would think to stay as what I would call acceptable Singapore budget hotels. The RELC is probably my favorite, based upon location near the upper end of Orchard Road. The only thing I would really criticize there is the breakfast. Skip it in favor of Starbucks or McDonalds 300 meters away on Orchard Road. The facilities are limited to what I would call Asian three star standard, but you can go next door to the Shangrila if you need a nice upscale meeting place, etc. (burgers at the top-floor Shangrila Blu Bar are tastiest in Singapore in my opinion, if expensive). My second most favorite is the Ft Canning Lodge, a YWCA affiliate closer to the Clarke Quay and Parliament neighborhood. The breakfast is acceptable there, but the laundromat facilities are not as good as RELC. My third most favorite, a step down and which I typically only book if RELC or the Ft Canning Lodge are unavailable, are a couple of backpackers' hostels on Hong Kong Street, which have a few private rooms with shared bathroom facilities. If cost is a concern the hostel rooms are cheaper, but the trade off is that the bathroom facilities are shared (and the laundromat facilities are also below RELC or the Ft Canning Lodge). Hong Kong Street is well placed close to Boat Quay and the Parliament areas. I think there are two of the different chain hostels on Hong Kong Street, running under different names, but both have a few private rooms.

We spent 4 nights from 19 Dec to 23 Dec 2017 at Shangrila Apartments, with 3 adults, and 4 years & 7 years kids. We booked apartment with 1 bedroom & extra bed. Location wise is very quiet and is within 13 minutes walking to Lucky Plaza. Small private buses are available to drive you to Orchards shopping centre area, with scheduled timetable, though. The staffs are professional, very responsive & have very good attitudes. Room is clean and have all standard apartment utilities, although the microwave is quite old (using old technology that is not as easy to use compared to the modern one). Booking with Agoda is very easy and the coordination with Shangrila Aprtments is two thumbs up. Overall, it is good value for the money with expected Shangrila standards. Ofcourse, We will come again.

Hotel supreme can reached by Mrt sommerset station. The street is parallel to orchard road and relatively close to the main road. Walking distance to the center of orchard road. Cheapest rate in orchard area with simple breakfast (bread butter jam crackers juice,better than none). With nearby eateries and foot spas. Highly recommended as compared to the pricey hotels in orchard area

Spend one night at Holiday Inn Express.. this hotel located behind the orchard road (at Bideford rd) if u go there by taxi u should explain clearly the "express" because there is Holiday Inn hotel in orchard area also.. so will be no missunderstanding.. location is prime very near to Paragon, takashimaya.. Breakfast only have little of choice.. room small but quite new hotel so is clean and great condition of furniture,etc..

The property commands an excellent location, close to Scotts Rd and Orchard Road. Although on Stevens Rd, it is relatively quiet and serene. The room is very clean and smells fresh. The bed feels new and not saggy. We love the Papparich restaurant which is located next door, which offers great Malaysian hawker foods. We have no complaint about the Mercure on Stevens, especially the room rate this time around was relative fair for a 4 star property.

the hfc is well located in fort canning park (you must walk it)a green oasis in a vibrant city. it is walking disatnce to orchard road or down through the park to clarke quay. rooms are of a high standard. the glass house offers a fresh and sufficiently varied breakfast experience with good service. the bar and on site italian restaurant are both excellent. the pools were clean and quiet. check-in and check out was "clunky" - service was perfunctory and interrupted. staff were polite but not especially personable. they could benefit from a more personalised and attentive approach. we requested a complimentary upgrade and this was provided and appreciated. the room (premier king deluxe 228) was well appointed, clean and boutique. we liked this unique hotel thatfor us was more approachable than larger corporate 4-5 star hotels. would definately return and recommend hfc to others.

our stay with marriot hotel was very nice & pleasant. great location at the corner of orchard & scotts road and right besides famous shopping malls at orchard. hotel staff were very friendly and courteous. i expected no less from marriot and i wasn't disappointed. there's no problem in looking for restaurants, fastfood chains, electronic shops and even money changer. the hotel was also beside an mrt station, so going around singapore through subway was easy.

we enjoyed our stay at holiday inn singapore orchard hotel. the room is very spacious and the beds are comfortable, good size and we were able to choose the pillows that we liked. the location is also great it's just a corner away from orchard road, so we saved on taxi fares. we were also satisfied with service of the staff assigned to our room. the hotel is also very clean and complete with all the amenities that we need.

I booked and stayed in this hotel on the advice of another business colleague in Feb 10. Quite simply this is the best hotel I have stayed in to date. The staffs’ are very friendly and helpful, with the business centre being very accommodating for what I had to do. The line restaurant for breakfast is marvellous, the standard and quality of service was second to none. The hotel room was spacious and well equipped and overlooked the pool. The pool and surroundings are excellent and have a very tranquil feel about it, the pool staff attentive and helpful. The hotel is situated on Orange Grove Rd and not therefore as conveniently located as some other hotels but, this means that the hotel is away from the frenetic activity and noise of Singapore's Orchard Rd making it a relaxing and charming place to stay. I was so impressed with my stay I cancelled my reservation at another hotel in Bangkok the following week to stay at their sister hotel there.

in the past have chosen to stay at the royal plaza and mandarin orchard hotels and this hotel is miles ahead of both of those two. rooms are a decent size, not brand new but certainly not tired. what stood out was the service and the staff in general. probably near on faultless. the other two hotels i mentioned suffer from serious service issues. the hilton may often be a little more expensive but the extra is definitely worth it. this is probably our choice from now on when staying on orchard.............

We stayed at PPSS Orchard for 7 days in the last week of May. We had booked a 1 bedroom executive suite for this period. We were a couple along with a 3 year old kid. The unique selling point of the property is it's location. It is extremely well located in the heart of town, only a short two minute walk from the MRT station and bus station (of Somerset road as well as Orchard road). Within a similar walking distance, there are numerous options to dine out, access to a large supermarket, access to the Singapore Visitor Center as well as experience the hustle bustle of Singapore city. The apartment (we stayed on the fourth floor) is extremely well laid out and spacious. It had all the amenities we had expected (washing machine with dryer, hot plate, refrigerator, TV, etc) and was extremely comfortable. Breakfast, while restricted in its spread (as is common to most serviced apartments) was extremely well presented and replenished. All the articles were extremely well prepared and fresh. We enjoyed each breakfast thoroughly. Please bear in mind that there is no breakfast served on public holidays and Sundays. The same goes for housekeeping services as well. The staff was very helpful and responsive. Whatever minor requirements were presented by us were taken care off on an immediate basis. The only thing that we request the management to consider is the upkeep of the furniture in the rooms. The upholstery on the sofa cum bed as well as the dining chairs was quite soiled and dirty (with marks of spillage made possibly by earlier occupants). Given the 5 star rating as well as the price being charged for each apartment, cleanliness everywhere is a basic expectation. And it is only for this reason that I have not rated this property 5 on 5. P.S - A full length mirror would also be a good to have in such a nice apartment.

Overall it was an awesome experience. The room was spacious, nicely furnished and decorated, bathroom was big and cosy, bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel is located really close to Orchard Road, a good 20-minutes leisurely stroll or about 2-3 bus stops away. It was not cheap, but it is worth every single cent we paid for. The brunch at Le Brezza was very good too, they have really nice and fresh seafood, best oysters we ever had. On the downside, we found the spread for the evening cocktail very limited. And I craved for ice cream and called the personal butler to find out what flavor ice creams they had, however, they couldn't tell me and I was only told 'seasonal flavors'. Nevertheless, this wouldn't stop me from going back to St.Regis again. We were very satisfied with our stay overall. Oh, not to forget, they upgraded us to a better room and arranged for late check-out without us asking for it even. Great value-added service! Two thumbs-up! Highly recommended.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 weeks and will definitely stay here again. Room very clean and comfortable. So many amenities available within the room and kitchen area. Staff cannot fault, all round all very pleasant. Breakfast a good choice that differs a little each day. Can get a little crowded depending what time you eat. Gym well stocked and a large swimming pool area too. Location is fantastic just off Orchard Road with everything, shops, MRT within a pleasant walking distance. Lobby area too puts some 5 star hotels to shame. 5 star rating easily achieved.

welcomed by helpful bell boys, receptionist that was quick, kind and helpful. great location with easy access to orchard road. free parking, many parking space available and car park is bright enough for safety! concierge was helpful even the cleaners were very good in remake up the rooms and refills. most important - free wifi, no many luxury hotel in orchard road provide this service. no complains at all for the regent singapore and we will be staying at the same hotel again on our next trip to singapore.

A very pleasant stay. The boutique quality (34 rooms) nestled amongst rich garden, backing onto local residences with minimal traffic made for a peaceful stay. A 7 minute walk to Somerset MRT/Orchard Rd with a host of eateries in between made it a very convenient retreat after a full day out, as did the piping hot shower (great pressure!) and air-con. A fee dispensing machine - coffee,tea, milo was available. Ours was a Standard room: ample storage space, comfortable bed, coffee/tea facilities, free wi-fi, comfortable bed, fridge, safe, even an iron and ironing board! Coming back each evening to gift-wrapped local biscuits and card was a nice touch. Breakfast vouchers were issued each morning for a choice of two restaurants within easy walking distance. FairPrice supermarket 200 metres down the road was a bonus. As frequent travellers to Singapore, this is the best accommodation we've stayed in as it ticks all the boxes. If you want to avoid the impersonal hotel chain experience, Lloyd's inn is the go. We'll be back.
