spacious room. unfortunately no deticated place to hang up coats. carpet was dirty ;-( should be exchanged. staff was really friendly and helpful. Location of the site is perfectly located by the sea ;-)

Last visit was disppointing”
Really disappointing. The website showed check-in time is 3pm, and I called the hotel at 12pm to ask for EARLY check in, and they said that actually they moved the check-in time to 4pm, so not only they won't be flexible with me, they wanted to delay me to 4pm!. I had to spend time with Agoda service and they sorted it out, but it really left a terrible taste in the mouth. Also, the facilities are way outdated. Check in at 4pm and check out at 11am is just not reasonable and we won't come back as long as they keep this outrageous policy.

Pro's : -Very nice view (side view). Upgrade balcony with front view - Nice room for the money!! - Professional fitness (also entry for non-clients of Orchid) - Free bicycles. - Close to the beach (1 street between), to the centre, to the shopping and to the nightclubs. Contra's : breakfast = 25 USD. Quite expensive compared with the food prices in TLV. Nightclubs : SOLO is the best. Cat And The Dog is more alternative (techno). Most clubs closes already at 4am. But you have afterparty's. The Pussycat is a very big and professional stripclub. Nice to check it out once. 500m from Orchid.

It was exactly the kind of vacation I needed. ”
Overall, I had a good stay at the Park Plaza Orchid Hotel. The only issues were some of the fixtures seemed outdated, for example the light hanging from my room seemed to be slightly pulled out, so some of the wiring was exposed. The tiles in the ceiling bathroom and the room itself were warped and bit out of shape. I can see how some, or those with high hotel standards would have had issues with a room like this, especially at a cost of over $200 per night. The free land-line was a welcome service that I actually used, but it too had issues as the cord to the phone had experienced some heavy usage, so my phone call was a bit "static-cy". The staff was solid, though I can not apply normal, Western or U.S., standards to their customer service; therefore the service was just "good enough" or solid. When I asked a question or had a concern, my concerns and questions were answered and executed, though I can not say the staff was overly friendly. For example, in the U.S., at a price of over $200 per night, many hotel staff members ALWAYS smile and greet when entering or exiting the facility, I can not say the same occured at this hotel.

This was the second time now - we stood in the park plaza orchid Hotel. We had a great time over there. It is very close to the beach.Clean rooms and a perfect view down to the beach. Even the breakfast in the morning is very good. So a great place to come back.

Exceptional”
Great location right on the promenade. Swimming pool, great views of the ocean, great choice for breakfast, well equipped gym. Room wasn’t too big but just enough, aircon working great, wifi, comfortable bed, great shower. Cannot find any fault with this hotel. Would definitely stay here again.

beach hotel”
The hotel is nicely located right on the beach and very close to restaurants. I picked this hotel partly because of the swimming pool. But it is not open until 10.00 AM and I am working during the day so basically when I get back, the pool is closed. The pool looks nice on the pictures displayed on the website and is actually much smaller than it looks. The restaurant has a really nice view over the ocean and an open air space as well. My room is said to have seaview and I can only see the sea from the side of my room. One highlight is that it offers free international calls to some countries though I didn't always get through. Still quite a plus for international travellers.

Great location, not-so-great staff”
The front desk staff had some attitude. I asked if I could please have a 120V/240V adapter, so I could keep my smartphone charged, as my charger is only for North American outlets. The girl at the front desk said "No". I complained that it's very important for me to have my phone be fully charged. Then she reached into a drawer and pulled one out. Why did I have to ask twice, and feel like she's doing me a favour? Also, they had a sign on the front desk posted with the exchange rates to get shekels for USD, pounds, and euros. I requested to purchase some shekels, and they said "No" - again. Their favourite word. No shekels available. That sign? Just there for decoration, I suppose. Or certain times of day. If they had no money at that time, why leave that sign up? So I had to hunt down the street to find a place to exchange my cash.

We enjoyed our stay.The hotel is located on promenade and this is great feature. Towels were missing for a couple days but as soon as we complained they were delivered to our room. A couple days we did not receive wake up calls.

Good location, that's all”
This hotel is very old-dated. Rooms are totally basic. Not 4½-star at all. I needed to go to reception 5 times cos my card to room was not working. After 5th time they gave me key. Also, rooms were not kept clean. My sheets were not changed the whole week, although I asked. I know, because I marked my sheets with eyeshadow ;0) But, location is good. You can walk by beach bulevard to Jaffa and everything is quite close.

Moved out”
My mother and I moved out after one night. The first room had no cold water or working toilet because of remodeling in an adjacent room. The toilet in the second room malfunctioned. That said, the second room was an upgraded room and much nicer. However, we would have had to move yet again not only because of the toilet but also because it had a king bed and I needed twin beds. (Please note that in terms of the breakfast, the hotel provided it to us without charge in light of the problems we had. So my comment above applies only to the extent that we had stay ed for our full visit. In terms of my comment below on location, it is only because we were at Icholov Hospital most of the time and it was not convenient to it. But would not be the norm.
