Boasting its city center location, this elegant accommodation allows guests to experience the best that cosmopolitan Hong Kong has to offer. Within the hotel's vicinity, there are plenty of entertainment, shopping, and chic restaurants to be found. Recommended attractions in the area include the computer shopping center, Lady's market, and the Lui Seng Chun historic mansion. The MTR Prince Edward station is a mere five-minute walk away, making getting around the city convenient and hassle-free. The Oriental Lander Hotel not only offers international class guestrooms, each of them comfortably appointed and readily equipped with modern in-room amenities, but also offers a host of facilities to make every guests' stay as pleasant as can be. For non-smokers, the hotel offers a non-smoking floor. Such conveniences and comfort can only be found in Hong Kong's Oriental Lander Hotel.

3 star hotel with 5 star service”
It was my first time to Hong Kong.I'm glad that i chose Oriental Lander Hotel through Agoda.I'm satisfied with my stay at the hotel. The price is affordable and the location is very convenience. It is just 5 mins walk from the Prince Edward MTR station and 15 mins walk from Mongkok. If in the future i'm going to Hong Kong again,i will stay at Oriental Lander Hotel.
Fairly good hotel”
I've stayed at this hotel several times, but more often at their sister hotel, the Lander. But both hotels are almost identical and aren't far apart geographically, so this review could be for both. The Oriental Lander is only a 5-6 minute walk from Prince Edward MTR, so it's easy to get around the city from there. The rooms are a bit small (unless you get the triple, which I was upgraded to on my 30 August visit), but small rooms are the norm in Hong Kong for both hotels and residential properties. Just a fact of life in that city. The hotel is clean, housekeeping does a very good job, and if you have any problems or questions the management seem willing to help out when they can. I've stayed at this hotel a number of times and I have no trouble recommending it to anyone who wants a decent place to stay while visiting Hong Kong.
We love the hotel.”
My husband and I had a very pleasant stay in Oriental Lander Hotel. We stayed for 5 days and they kept our room always clean and arrange. new sheets, new set of towels and tissues are provided everyday by the hotel. Hotel staffs are very polite. Hotel location is near mongkok so my husband and I frequently walks from mongkok to our hotel. We would definetely recommend this hotel to our friends and relatives.
Small room but great location”
Ideally nestled in Mongkok area, The Oriental Lander Hotel can be reached by a 45 minutes drive from the Hong Kong International Airport. Scenic Spots • Heritage conservation Lui Government House - the hotel next to • the subject of computer malls - traveling by taxi about 15 minutes • Ladies - walk about 15 minutes • Flower Market - about 8 minutes walk • electrical appliances Street - walk about 15 minutes • West Kowloon Cultural District - by taxi about 15 minutes journey • busy Nathan Road, Mong Kok - about 5 minutes walk
Okay location, good service but small rooms”
i stayed for 4 nights in oriental lander hotel. the hotel is about a 10 minutes walk from prince edward mtr, and was not difficult to find. hotel staff spoke english, cantonese and mandarin and were helpful with my queries. the rooms were small yes, but everything was in working order and should not pose a problem unless you're looking to have a lot of space to move around. everything works as they should, and room service is promptly done everyday. hotel staff will call to check that you're in the room before entering your room to do room service. all in all, it is a small place yes, but clean and reasonably priced.
Nice Hotel”
Late Review for March 7-11, 2017 Stay: We've enjoyed our stay in Oriental Lander Hotel. The staff were helpful and the location is quite easy to find. It's also near to Prince Edward MTR Station. Room: It's quite common that the hotel rooms in HK are small. So don't expect much on their rooms. What really important is a nice and descent room to stay because most of time, you're outside of the hotel for leisure. The toilet doesn't have a lock. haha
great hotel”
The hotel is just superb!!!!it has the ambience of security, comfort and convenience-esp in the aspect of shopping, entertainment, and accessibility to downtown facilities. the hotel's rooms are clean, and resonably provided with the necessities for a comfortable stay!!!Definitely i will be booking again on the same hotel for my next stay!!!! I wish, though, that the airport transfer would be part of the deal, without extra cost ,as it is indeed a bit stressful for first-time hongkong travellers to look for any possible rides to the hotel, although the bus taking the customers to the hotel from the airport is clearly marked.the stressful part is when to get down-meaning,instead of resting during the one-hour bus ride from the airport, the customers have to be widely awake so as not to miss the hotel. Oriental lander hotel, though,is worth all the teeny-weeny stress and hassles.More power!!!!
Great Service & location!!”
We have our 3-days holiday in HongKong in the mid of Mar 2010. Targeted a good location hotel since it was our first trip there. Proven that our decision of choosing Oriental Lander Hotel is of no regret. The hotel is small. Double bedroom is real small, Triple bedroom is bigger & more spacious. Room: clean and tidy. Front desk staff: real friendly, helpful and attentive. Location: 5-10mins walk to Fa Yuen Street (or sometimes they call Lady's Market) at MongKok. I strongly recommend to those who's targeting budget hotel, do put this hotel as your shortlisted choice.
Excellent hotel with reasonable rate!!”
We spent 6days 5 nights in this hotel, the overall service is very good and is out of our expectation. The bathroom is completed with shower gel, shampoo, lotion, and most importantly a toothpaste and toothbrush set for 2. We have a happy stay throughout the 6days in Hong Kong. The bed is extremely good for us after a tired day of shopping in Hong kong. Most importantly, it is less than 10minutes walk from the hotel to Price edward MRT station. Opposite the hotel, you may find a very nice hong kong restaurant which is delicious at reasonable price. I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friend and will choose this hotel for my next stay in Hong Kong.
Tiny rooms, but overall much better than expected”
Reading the previous reviews, and considering the low rate of around three fifty net (low season week), I did not expect much, but it was much better than expected. Regular rooms are indeed tiny, but I was lucky as I was assigned a triple room which was actually a tiny 2-bedroom unit. Room was clean and had everything you would need: Fridge, TV, Hairdryer, kettle with coffee/tea provided, free LAN-internet (WiFi only in the Lobby), and even a safe, hidden below the working desk. Drinking water in the fridge not free, but almost at 7-eleven prices, just four HKD per bottle. Front desk staff were friendly and efficient. There is some street-noise from the road, so try to get a room on a higher floor. My King-size bed was actually two twins put together, but those were minor disturbances. Considering the fact that those nasty guesthouses in the ramshackle Mirador and Chungking Mansions usually charge even more than the Oriental Lander, I would go back there in a heartbeat when I am on a budget. Because this is actually a real hotel with corresponding facilities.
Not bad for a single traveller”
The Oriental Lander Hotel is a small and cosy hotel located away from the hustle and bustle of the city yet situated in a central location. The hotel was good, and judging from the room, had been recently renovated. The room was clean and quiet, however the only drawback was that the size of the room was small. However, its still recommended if you are a single traveller.
Very clean hotel. Very cheap too”
We stayed at the Oriental Lander Hotel in Tong Mei Road in Mongkok for 3 days and I can say that it's a very good place to stay. The hotel manager is very friendly. The location of the hotel is great because its very quiet. The room is equipped with a safe for your valuable personal belongings. They also have a hair dryer in the bathroom. We had a great time staying there.
Quality hotel close to central Mong Kok”
The Oriental Lander is situated nearby to Mong Kok, which is walking distance away. The room was small but clean, the beds were comfortable and the facilities provided (hair dryer, safe) expected of a 3 star hotel. The free wifi in the lobby was a bonus, there is also a paid-for option of Broadband internet in the room. You need to pay a deposit of $200 HKD for the room. Overall a pleasant stay, would use again.
Clean, good service and great location”
No regrets to stay at Oriental Lander Hotel. We have superior triple room @ this hotel but i still feel comfortable with enough space for us to move arround. Hotel do provide free wifi but you can only access at lobby area. So, every night we spend about 15~30mins at lobby to access internet. Lastly, dont complain about small room because most of hotel in Hong Kong face this problem unless you pay for higher price to solve this problem.
Clean and affordable”
Value for money -- It's probably the cheapest hotel in HK that has clean rooms in a quiet and safe area. If you can't stand a crowded, dirty, smelly and noisy area with slow elevators and dirty rooms, stay away from Chungking Mansion where a lot of hostels are located. Those hostels are priced ridiculously higher than Oriental Lander. Cleanliness -- The hotel looked and smelled clean. Elevator buttons are cleaned every two hours, rooms are cleaned everyday. Bed sheets are clean and white without any stains. The comfort room is clean, but it may be quite small for big people to move around. Location -- Location is not that central, but it's still good since it's near the MTR.
Value for Money Hotel ”
Staff are friendly, Venue is convenient, Hardware is clean and user friendly. On top of it, Price is within acceptable range for HK Standard. Excellent. I stay in Oriental Lander Hotel during my each visit to HK.
Oriental Lander”
I enjoyed my stay at the Oriental Lander. I was upgraded when I arrived to a superior room and I must say that it was small. However it was not terrible, and even it was a bit tight with 2 large suitcases I was very comfortable. Free internet was easy to connect to, and the shower was great. The front desk staff spoke excellent English and was very helpful in giving directions. Again the room was very small, but I would stay there again.
Perfect for just a room for the night”
The Oriental Lander is perfect if all you need is a room for the night - the rooms are small, but clean, and the service is friendly and competent. Well worth the price if you are looking for something above a hostel, but don't need a full hotel experience.
Good hotel”
This was my second stay in the Oriental Lander Hotel, and I like it. This hote has only one shortcoming, and that's the poor selection of TV channels (for English speakers). The only English language channels available are Pearl (which alternates between Chinese and English) and ATV. For the price of the rooms here I would hope for, and expect a little more choice. There are times you just want to relax in your room and watch some international news from BBC, al-Jazeera, CNN or some other stations. If management reads these comments I would appreciate a reply as to whether or not this kind of change can be made. Otherwise I might look for another hotel in future. Otherwise the Oriental Lander is a good place to stay.
Pleasant & Comfy Short Stay”
It was a pleasant stay although a little distance from the nearest MTR (Prince Edward Station). Given the room price and centralised location, its a good deal. Plus the offer of upgrading to a twin room only cost me S$6 for 3 nights which's unbeatable. Staff customer service has improved as compared to my previous 2 stay. The room has comfortable beds and cleaniless is acceptable. Housekeeping staff is polite too. I would rate Oriental Lander Hotel a 3.5 star
