fair choice hotel”
location
Basically acceptable, but with much potential. The waste water connection of the handwash basin should have an odour trap (the sewer smell comes back since the connection is executed wrong), the sauna is a bad experience without heating, the steam bath is without steam, the roof bar is closed, the roof swimming pool is without water. The diesel smell comes inside, when at 3:00 night the power goes out and the generator starts working (quiet, but it wakes You up definitely) Overall, satisfied, but definitely needs improovement.

comfortable, clean, close to all attractions”
location, bed, view off rooftop terrace
A great little hotel close to most attractions in Istanbul's Sultanameth district. Take a 2 minute walk trough narrow and shady backstreets full of tiny shops loaded with overpriced trinkets and locals hawking boat or bus sightseeing tours to up at Ebussuut Street to where a tram takes one across the Bosphorus Bridge into the Asian part of the city or all the way back to the airport, all for a pittance. (The cab ride back to Atatürk is 70 to 80 euros). Located on a quiet side street within a pedestrian zone (attention drivers), a unassuming building with your typical tile, marble and stainless steel frontage is a clean reasonable stay (if booked via internet) in a central location, only a 5 minute walk from Sofia Hagia, the spice market etc. The area is saturated with small cafes, restaurants and bars jam packed with tourists and locals alike. For north americans the hotel rooms are smallish but spic and span clean, bed (mattress firm) comfortable, a well equipped bathroom with sit down toilet, both shower and a jetted bathtub; euros and gulf folks will be happy to find the equivalent of a bidet, the butt shower. The staff is friendly but with typically european restraint, (no toothpaste commercial smiles) very helpful (except that one fellow at the front desk who did a perfect impression of Oscar the grouch) but gradually warmed up to us and tendered the odd smile. Breakfast is a buffet affair, turkish style, with hard boiled or overcooked scrabbled eggs, a ton of assorted bread, buns and pizza like creations, soft cheeses, olives and your drip coffee that is a 2 out of 10. Best not complain, it's all free. All in all, the hotel is a gem, well priced and central - a good deal.

Best location and value for visiting Istanbul ”
Near to tram, all the major historical sites and great restaurants
The staff are friendly and informed. The food for breakfast is outstanding and divine. The number of sites and restaurants nearby make it the perfect central point to see Istanbul. The view of the sea nearby is superb

good location”
location, staff atttention, location
During İstanbul riots: no internet, no compensation. Ceiling leaked in bathroom, did not ensure repair but did come straight away. Staff very friendly though sometimes unable to correct issue. Spa very expensive, not worth price. Sounds like a bad review but I would stay there again. Allowed me to store my baggage until room was ready & allowed me early check in. Changed my room when I didn't like first offer. Always smiling & I felt like they put me first for the issues they did have control over. But I needed the internet & there was no recompense for that. Initially hard to find but really close to everything including transportation.

centrally located, small rooms”
(1) excellent location; (2) attentive staff; (3) healthy buffet breakfast
disappointed that there was no airport pickup (even if this was one of the inclusions in the website); the rooms were very small and the bathroom given to my children only had a crappy curtain covering the shower area.

Great location with excellent service”
Walking distance to the popular tourist spots, eg: grand bazaar, topkapi, haghia sophia, etc.
We booked this hotel at agoda as we are looking for a hotel within sultanahmet area. This hotel looked quite bleak if viewed from outside. However, after entering to lobby area, it looks very different. The hotel lobby that connected with lounge and restaurant look so vast and attractive. Bedroom was nicely kept and looks new.

Location, hammam, large rooms, free wifi, rooftop pool and bar
Really good hotel. Only disappointed by the included breakfast and the rooms were smokey even though we were on a suposed non smowing floor.
