Best facilities in Ormoc”
Villa is by far the better of the main Ormoc hotels. Better value, better in-room facilities, better service and far less restrictions than Sabin. For basically the same price, Villa provides a far better location for access to the city proper, and little things like in-room fridge, a kettle with complimentary coffee, complimentary bottled water, and a bidet for sanitary needs, none of which Sabin has. You can bring outside food, drinks, food delivery etc also which Sabin is ridiculously strict on. Having shared equal time between Villa hotel and Sabin this visit, I will only stay at Villa from now on.
What a good suprise”
Well appointed room, really very much a suprise in this location, pool and outdoor and indoor dining area above class. Range of cocktails available in the pool ...Lovely outlook to internal garden with pool. Good Philipines food menus with international options. The negative and I’m really clutching here, the shower took a while to heat up I guess the pipes are long.. so just turn the tap on early.. like I said... it’s hard to find a negative here. I’d stay again any day.
Good hotel stay for the money ”
Room was clean, this is my second time staying here and I did get money money worth, the staff was nice and friendly and helpful. Room service was great and the prices are good, i just wish the bathroom had more lighting especially around the mirror, besides that the stay was good, oh the hot tub is not in service.
International Standard in a remote location”
Always a pleasure to experience a stay at the Ormoc Villa Hotel. Staff with good english skills and great attitude. International Standard rooms in a location where you would least expect it. I will continue going back to the hotel.
Simple but great hotel. Excellent value for money ”
Excellent value for money, considering the hotels standards in the Philippines provinces. Staff spoke decent English and were very polite & attentive. Hotel room was large clean, large flat screen TV with cable channels, aircon in good order bathroom spacious. Area was calm. All of what is expected from a business traveler was there, which is rather unusual in the Philippines small province towns. I wish more hotels were to follow this example.
Great location. Staff attentive and helpful. Very nice garden area. Rooms are quite big. But hotel is dated and need repairs. Bathroom fixtures and shelves need replacement. Housekeeping NEED to improve in cleaning the rooms and bathrooms as well as the public areas such as the stairs, lobby area, coffee shop, walls and windows etc.
We had the presidential suite for 6 nights and paid top dollar for it. We had no . There was no hot water, no wifi in the room and the aircon dripped water all over the floor flooding the carpet. The food was good but the staff were not much help when asked questions. We'll never stay there again
Nice hotel in good location”

Rod from Canada”
Well located and friendly staff.
Family weekend out”
Stay was for 3 nights. Was in Ormoc visiting Family. Wifi was not working near our room, thinking why it was not working was because PW hasn't been changed since 2016 and everyone had it so WIFI wasn't working. Asked the desk to see if they could get it working but they told us to come to the lobby for wifi. So if you need WIFI I wouldn't recommend staying here. Also wanted to get a ride out to a nearby town which takes less than an hour drive and tried to hire a driver hotel staff said for drop off and pick up it would be 3,000 pesos or to rent a driver all day would be 3,000 as well. Walked away then came back and they said they could do it for 2,500 pesos and I said that is how much someone gets paid in a month here working a part-time job. Anyway, rip off alert there. We had a baby so taking a Van that would have cost 110 pesos each was out of the window. So we asked some family nearby to drive us and they did, lucky. Anyway, besides those 2 things the stay was good.
The best hotel in Ormoc, but a bit pricey for no breakfast included.”
I like this hotel. Nice gardens, big pool, good food in the rooms (room service). The rooms are large with two double beds. Great for my wife and I and our 9 year old. The aircon was cool and the thermostat worked well so we didn't freeze. Staff are friendly and helpful. We had an adjoining room for my wife's family. This was really good. They loved the room. We stayed 2 nights. I think the room rate is a bit pricey as no breakfast included. We ordered troom service meals one night. Service was fast, the food was very good and well priced. We will stay here again next time. We sleep safe and comfortably here.
90th made memorable”
Hosted my mother's 90th birthday celebration in this hotel in June 2017. I brought the decor all the way from Manila and the hotel staff was EXTREMELY accommodating and helpful in setting up the venue. Note that the City was busy celebrating the Fiesta so everyone was "stretched". The event was very successful.
Christmas holiday. ”
Great hotel. We stayed in a presidential suit. Which was great. Lounge kitchen separate bedroom, big bathroom with jacuzzi bath. Separate rain forest shower. Plus a second smaller bathroom. Two large TVs. With good cable and free wifi. Free breakfast every morning. Would difently book the presidential suit. On our next visit ,at Christmas 2018
Planned, organized and held the 90th birthday celebration of my mother in this hotel. The staff who assisted in decorating Hacienda Function Room were positively helpful and artistic! Pleasantly surprised! Highly recommended!
Very elegant and grand looking accommodation”
We found the facilities to be good. Meals good and reasonably priced, friendly staff and beautiful garden in a good area. The one negative we had was that our room was a little noisy from the street activity below the 2 nights we were there. But overall we were happy with this accommodation.
well its the best hotel in ormoc. good for a stay over night or if you have business in ormoc to do. there is nothing to do in ormoc, just another small dirty city. the breakfast is poor as usual in Philippines, the room was ok, the staff was ok too.
Pleasant spacious hotel, with great gardens. Close to shops and waterfront. Friendly helpful staff. Restaurant OK, but not well patronised while we were there. Wi-Fi a bit shaky like most hotels here. A nice addition would be a proper espresso coffee bar to service the pleasant patio areas.
