Otres Beach hotels & places to stay

This is probably The best Place to stay at Otres Beach. The Boutique Hotel is a kind of a Colonial Building with a fantastic swimming pool. The Beach itself is just a few steps away. Quality Chairs are available for guests to enjoy this fantastic beach and stunning sunset. Excellent Cocktails can be had from the barkeeper. They even have a climatised bar lounge. Prices for cocktails and beers are ok. The menu list itself is a bit small though the grillades are of good quality. Breakfast is also really good. Roms are equally top quality. The Management runs this Russian owned place very well and the local staff are just wonderful. Especially "Lime", who took well care of me after my accident in the Sea. We would consider to stay at this place anytime.

We were very happy with our stay at Sahaa. Sihanoukville itself is still in early stages of development for luxury accomm, so a lot is still backpacker hostels and starting to see big casino style hotels. So we were really happy with our choice of Sahaa which was a boutique hotel, which felt premium, personal and great value for money. The place is beautifully decorated with a lot of white settings and a pretty little pool and a great location right on Otres 1. Though the roads are still a bit under developed, it didn’t bother us too much and just across from the road is a beautiful long stretch of beach - also definitely recommend Otres Beach over the rest of the beaches In Sihanoukville. Lots of little bars and restaurants right on the beach there. Definitely recommend!

The Ren Resort is situated opposite Otres beach 2 and overall is a good choice of places to stay if you are looking for a bit of R&R. The rooms are well laid out and have all the necessary amenities/requirements that you will need for your stay. The staff are extremely friendly and extended a warm welcome to me upon my arrival. There is a swimming pool on site but with the beach a stones throw away, it is rarely used. As with the majority of properties along the beach, the resort is seperated from the beach by a road and the Ren beachfront bar/restaurant. It is not often that I get to indulge in a beachfront buffet breakfast and the Ren certainly 'delivered the goods' so to speak. There is a lot of mention in reviews regarding the ongoing construction. Yes, it can get noisy during the day but I personally think that the majority of people who plan a trip to a beachfront location do so with the intention of not spending their entire stay in their hotel room. Also, with a location such as Otres beach, the construction in the surrounding area is likely to continue into the future. In summary, the Ren is a good choice for the area in question and ticks all the right boxes.

We had booked a room at another hotel in Otres 2 that ended up being a big disappointment. We decided to leave and found Mangrove River Resort. Boy, did we make the right move. What a beautiful hotel. Great room with a quality bed. Quality linens and towels. Incredible bathroom - loved the rainfall shower head. At times though the hot water seemed to disappear and the water temperature kept fluctuating. It's a short walk to the beach and a very short walk to a great restaurant called the Green Pepper. There is some construction still going on at the hotel, so take note of that, but didn't seem to be a big bother. The power was off and on a handful of times during our stay, but thankfully not for long and not sure if the fault of the hotel or the fact that it is Cambodia. The included breakfast was at best OK, but nothing special to write home about. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Sea Breeze Hotel sits in a small oasis of calm, amid the utter devastation of what was once Cambodia's premier seaside destination, Sihanoukville. The staff at the resort are lovely and will go out of their way to be helpful. The free ala carte breakfast offers many choices, and is quite good. The pool is very refreshing and clean, and is a great way to end a hot day of touring. Otres beach is just a short 2 minute walk away. However, be aware that Sihanoukville, once a calm and beautiful holiday beach location, is now a Mordor-like hell of Chinese over-development. They have swept in with their billions of development dollars, and torn the land to shreds. Massive, ugly construction projects are everywhere you look, and the are is filled with dirt and dust. It is as if the locals have given up, as garbage is strewn everywhere. Avoid Sihanoukville's Serendipity Beach area at all costs, as smelly open sewer water lies in large puddles on the beach.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Everything about this hotel is fantastic. The staff and service I could not fault, lovely and friendly. The rooms are well designed with a beautiful stone bath to relax in. Rain shower with nice hot water. The beds are so comfortable, along with quality bed linen. Swim up bar and a roof top dinning area. The most amazing pool that you have access from your room straight into the pool. Would totally recommend Chan Boutique the place to stay on Otres beach. Thank you for such quality service and to the lovely lady at reception, you have made my stay here memorable.

We don't like big hotels, so the bungalows in the jungle garden had been perfect for us. We could not find any other green paradise like the Secret Garden in Otres Beach. The SPA and massage was lovely, clean and cheap. The beach is cleaned and brushed every day and even the sea is cleaner there because more far away from some small brown waters coming out to the beach at other places. The swimming pool was a little bid milky. I think it was because of the daily rain. The staff is speaking good English and are extremely friendly and helpful. For the welcome drink we had the choice of tapped beer or an alcohol or non alcohol cocktail. We took the real delicious alcohol cocktail and had been utmost delighted by it. We normaly don't eat at the hotel where we stay very often, because we want to have some change. But here at Secret Garden we ate every day at least one time beside the breakfast because we could not find better food with a nicer ambiance in Otres Beach. Only the breakfast portions had been a little bit small (but I am a good eater) and sometimes the empty plates waited long time to be withdrawn. But this had been very minor problems. Overall an as close to perfection as possible place to enjoy a beach vacation. We for sure want to come back

We had a relaxing stay at the white Sea Boutique. There was some noise due to some new units and on our first day the property across the street was burning their grass. But the pool was great, WiFi was good, staff and guest were friendly, toilets were excellent. Breakfast was okay but basic. The hotel is not right on the beach but it's only a 3 minute walk. Otres 2 is an exceptional beach. Just beyond White Sea Boutique there are many decent restaurants. The best food is probably served at the Secret Garden, near the end of the strip. We loved hanging out at the beach in the morning and the pool in the afternoon. On Saturday evening we went to the Otres Market for some great live music and fopd which is run by expat hippies and it felt like 1971 to me.

I stayed here on tbe tale end of my solo cambodia trip. I heard alotta different reports about the quality of rooms at otres beach. Good times is by far one of the cleanest, friends stayed at some of the classic bungalows and im so happy i had My nice clean tiled airconditioned bungalow. The only downside of this place is 1. The breakfast isnt amazing, just go get something over on the beach. 2, the outdoor area of your room isnt private. But your at the beach 95% time anyway. 3, the bathroom floods each time u shower. But all in all stay here its clean, safe, reliable and has wifi that works most of the time

We spent 6 nights at Otres Resort and couldn't have asked for a better experience. The rooms were simple, comfortable and clean, with ample space for our family of 5. The pool area was inviting, and a children's play area was a bonus. The location, on the river, is peaceful and quiet. The hotel was only a few minutes walk across to the beach. And not far from Otres Village (if you really felt the need to go there). Everything was well maintained and clean. Staff and management at this resort were exceptional. A new manager had just started (Hi Alex!), when we arrived and he was attentive to all of our needs. He welcomed feedback and was keen to act on advice from guests to make this lovely resort even more lovely. Other staff were all vey friendly and helpful. Interactions over breakfast or when heading out where a pleasure. The breakfast was excellent, with a great deal of choice, all very well prepared and presented. Other meals were also delicious and fresh. The kitchen was extremely clean. The kids meals were very good value and ticked all the right boxes for small people. Drinks were reasonably priced, (on par with surrounding restaurants and bars). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Otres Resort, and would recommend it to people looking for a more intimate place to stay (there are not very many rooms). Currently, the Otres area is undergoing a huge construction boom, building is taking place everywhere and roads are dusty. Alex and staff were extremely apologetic about this, and were very concerned about us enjoying our stay. We were aware of the building boom before booking, and did not find that construction noise in any way interfered with our ability to sleep or relax at the resort. Thanks for a terrific few days, and we hope Pepper the Cat is doing well!

Petite auberge très sympathique composée de 6 ou 7 bungalows disposés autour d'une petite piscine, à l'exception de 2 chambres avec balcon à l'étage avec vu sur la mer. À 2 pas de la plage. Tous les matins, une armée de "volontaires" nettoie la petite route de terre qui traverse Otres Beach 2 ainsi que la plage qui, de ce fait, est beaucoup plus propre que ce à quoi nous nous attendions. Plage agréable, donc, bordée de petits restaurants de tous types et de chaises longues avec parasol. Coucher de soleil sur la mer ornée d'îles. Splendide . Équipe accueillante. Petits déjeuners plus que corrects. Malheureusement, ce coin de paradis sera bientôt envahi par de gros resorts qui ont déjà commencé à prendre pied. Faites vite !

We stayed for one night on our way back from the islands and enjoyed our time at the hotel. Our room was very new, nice bathroom with hot water and good pressure, nice bed and very clean. Pool was fine. Breakfast was plentiful, more than your standard guesthouse eggs, toast and fruit with a wide variety of hot and cold dishes. We liked Otres much more than Serendipity beach and were glad to take the extra tuk tuk to get away from Sihanoukville center. Note that the hotel is not directly on the beach but set back across the main dirt road of Otres, but it is very close.

First things first, and Sok Sabay got it right with the ice cold passion welcome drink we received after a gruelling 7 hour train journey. We were due to stay four nights but we extended for two weeks. Here's why ... The resort is in the middle of Otres beach 1 & 2 but accessing the two beaches and the surroundings was made easier and free by the bikes provided. Room cleaning was a military operation by a group of Cambodian ladies who on a daily basis without fail, thoroughly tidied our room leaving beautifully shaped fresh towels. The pool was a highlight for us as not only was it clean, it also is the warmest salty water pool we've been in so far. The staff were always helpful and not intrusive which is a plus when you've literally moved in. Attention to detail for the decor here is clear to see. Tradition compliments modern and it works fabulously. For the bookworms, you couldn't get a better study area than the one here with cosy dangling seats overlooking the tranquil river.

Eolia Beach Resort is wonderful! Clean, nice staff, pool, A/C and central location. All of Otres beach is a throw back to a sort of "early hippy days in Mexico" feel, and being able to wander from beach front bar to bar is wonderful... There are many good restaurants currently (03/31/2016) and a short tuk tuk ride to Otres Village supports even more places to eat and stay. We enjoyed it so much we lengthened our visit from 4 to 7 days. It may be a little rough around the edges once you're off the property, but you won't be disappointed by the accommodations.

The bungalow hotel is at Otres2 beach village and it's about 10 minutes walk to the beach.The Otres beach is quite and relatively clean because there are not so many tourists here.The road from hotel to beach is kind of muddy,though.The staff of the hotel can speak English well and their services are really nice.They helped to book the sleeping bus and speedboat for Koh Rong Salon Island with acceptable price including pick up service.The facilities of the room is good and water is clean.Hot water is available around the clock.We also spent relaxing time in the swimming pool which is just in front of your door.I think I will choose this hotel next time!

Great place ! Staff friendly helpful English speaking . Otres 2 is a quiet beach great to stay away from the craziness in town but almost too far and we were told not safe to travel after 7pm also you will get pulled over daily before 5 pm and be asked for a bribe for the police , that put us off after renting a scooter but that's the norm for the country no police after 5 at the exits anyway. Stand up paddle rentals on the beach there's garbage around but much less than serindippity that place is not much too see and write your friends about. Overall golden river is great for peace and clean beach and the odd cheap island tour $12 per person to go to three places and get on a boat and eat breakfast and lunch and snorkel , there was no cliff jumping that's what we looked forward to and really not much else to do besides chill on quiet beaches and tan would be much funnier with music and beers so bring your own party and make the best of it , there also is no fish really for snorkelling . But all still fun because there is limited things to do in otres. Eat drink and be merry and stand up paddle and always drink mass amounts of water ! Places are always cheaper than the resort like beers and water but there are also no stores maybe 1 ... No 24 7-11 here like Thailand 😎 Enjoy the laid back feel of this place ! We went to the busier places in town near serindippity the food is cheaper and there's more things happening !

Legacy Bungalow is a quite new (beginning 2015) bungalow resort. With the current rate of 25 USD per AC room it offers luxurious rooms for a great price. With the free bicycles it is 2 minutes to the beach, 1 minutes to the local village with good and cheap restaurants. It is located between Otres 1 and Otres 2 the two tourists villages at the beautiful otres beach with a lot of beach bars and more bungalows. Wifi is pretty good. The restaurant is not recommended. You get great and very cheap food 200m down the road in otres village. Coffee and free is provided. Everyday room service. Legacy Bungalows has no beach view location, but if you don't mind taking the bike for 2 min you hardly will find such new, high quality rooms for that price.

We booked a bungalow, it was very clean and spacious and had a nice little terrace with table and chairs. The bungalows are situated right by the pool which is great. The staff were super friendly and very knowledgeable, they helped us getting around in Otres village and booking tuk tuks, and they recommended and booked our bus for us to go to Phnom Penh at the end of our stay. We liked the location of Ta Kloy Tip as it has lots of restaurant options nearby (the restaurant at Boho hostel is a great option, right next to the bungalows), and it's a 5 minute walk to Otres beach. The beach is nice and quiet however if you walk a bit further along towards Otres Beach 2, you will find loads of restaurant options with music and sunbeds. All in all a great experience and would definitely recommend Ta Kloy Tip if you are staying in Otres!

We originally were on otres beach, don't stay on otres beach! It's loud and the vibe is not what we expected, really clicqy. We booked for 1 night here and stayed for 3, it was wonderful! Comfy beds, great showers, nice staff and peaceful nights sleep. You are only 5 mins walk from the beach yet the quality of accommodation is 100 times better. There is a great restaurant just around the corner from this place called Khmer kitchen. There is also a great coffee place called wake and bake just opened, really nice couple running it :) stay here, it's perfect, in between otres beach and otres village!

We loved our stay in Sofinny - arrived there late at night, when everything was closed, but owners opened their restaurant only for us and made really tasty food. The breakfast was also good - you can choose from a variety of different dishes. Coffee was really excellent compared to majority of Cambodian restaurants. Rooms were spacey and new, bathroom bigger then average and nicely decorated with bamboo. The best price/quality ratio we had in Cambodia. Total price of stay in new and big rooms with breakfast was cheaper then living in 20 years shack without breakfast. Location is good - 5-7 min. walk to Otres beach. Staff really friendly and helpful - even gave their motobike for short trips. The only negative thing was construction site on the opposite side of the street that started 8-9 AM. But it didn't actually bother us, because we woke up early every morning. It will also end before the ll half of 2017 season.

We stayed in the fan bungalow, very quiet during the day but can get noisy at night as is close to a pub, anyway the music didn’t bother us and we slept well. I loved to spend time In the hammock outside. Location is good very close to the beach, the restaurant opposite the bungalow is great and with good prices and music, great to spend the day in the beach (bamboo shack) Laundry service is very fast. I will stay here again for sure, Otres Beach is lovely. The only thing to complain is the light inside the bungalow, you barely can see at night.

I stayed here for a week. Wanted a relaxing last week in Cambodia and got that.very close to Otres beach 2, which is the most secluded of all of these. Easy to get to the islands. So a tick for location. Really nice bungalows, with great food, as the owner was an ex chef. And he was so nice and so hospitable. Really friendly guy, and bent over backwards. Cute little kids of his that are always running around smiling!! Andrew

Otres Beach Resort is 50 m from the beautiful sand beach of Otres 2. Many of the close neighbours are higher end resorts. I valued the closeness to the beach and the many restaurants that were along the beach. I was here for an extended stay to paddle board and chose to remain at Otres throughout this stay. Most other similar priced places were as much as 1 km from the beach. The bungalows are located in a shady treed lot and their verandas are pretty well shady all day. Most of the residents seem to be quiet couples making for a restful stay. If you chose to stay back from the beach more in the village between Otres 1 and 2 you should factor in a motorbike rental at about $6 per day. It's a long hot walk back and forth but looks a bit cheaper. There's not much there that you can't find on Otres Beach. Otres 1 is a bit bigger with some similar bungalows near the beach in the same price range, but is likely not so serene as Otres 2.

The hotel is located 100 meters from the beach. The location at Otres Beach is excellent. But Otres Beach is far enough from the center of Sihanoukville, about 15 minutes ride by Tuktuk. In Otres you have everything you need - bars, shops and even an ATM. About PatPat - very clean, with a private pool. French hosts - very welcoming and ready to help. Visible European approach to everything. Breakfast included and our linen were changed every three days. Definitely worth the money. Would recommend this guesthouse for everyone!
