I only stayed a few nights, in the single room and in a mixed dorm. Both were very comfortable and the staff were excellent. I even got a free tour of Rizzl and Intramuros.

Hostel above a Korean grocery and spa in the business/entertainment district!”
VALUE FOR MONEY: 350 pesos for an AC room is a good bargain in the city. You travel to place like El Nido and Boracay and you’re looking at double rates. LOCATION: Lemme break Manila geography down for the uninitiated. Metro Manila is composed of many cities. Historically, travelers concentrated in Malate district within Manila City proper, but that changed dramatically in recent years as more hostels moved to Makati City. There are a couple of hostels remaining in Malate... but it’s honestly become so dodgy and grim there now, you should disregard whatever Lonely Planet recommended waaaay back in 2013. Makati is a cosmopolitan city... the country’s business district, shopping mall mecca and red light are all there. But quickly, this particular area of Makati has seen a gentrification of sorts in recent years, with craft cocktail bars, sports bars, girly bars, vinyl bars, craft beers bars, Mexican restaurants, tequila bars, third wave cafes, instagram-worthy restos... all somehow co-existing with corporate offices, residential areas and a growing Korean presence. What’s not to love? Okay, you will defo encounter solicitations but that’s pretty limited to the actual neon-lit street, a block away and almost entirely avoidable. CLEANLINESS: Dorm bed, toilets and showers were passably clean. Not a whole lot of complaints really, but dust does tend to collect under the beds because of the fans. The dorm room lacked a window which could be a good thing. A little bit of familiar backpacker smell in the rooms... but that’s our fault, not theirs. FACILITIES: Bring your own padlock for the lockers or buy one from 7-11. The AC cooled the room sufficiently and the mattress was honestly, SUPER COMFY. How could I almost forget? What a nice break from hostel foam mattresses. Each bed had sockets! STAFF: They seemed to happily do their job and answer hostel/area/transit-related questions. No free city tours as in the past. One older guest openly stated how he’s become enamore

Stay was okay”
We stayed at the ensuite room. So we had a bathroom to ourselves. It was okay for the amount we paid, and we stayed only overnight. Tho were were many people checked-in that time, surprisingly, the place was quiet. The common areas like kitchen, living room were big spaces so you will really have a space of your own. As for our room, it was a big room which can fit 2 queen size beds. Of course we only had 1. Towel provided was not nice. It was old and very thin. No toiletries provided. No water. Water, you have to get from the dispenser located at the kitchen. The breakfast was okay. just 1 serving. with banana, scrambled egg, bread 2 pcs, and coffee or tea or juice. The internet was very fast, which is good. And inside the premises, you have to walk barefoot. The shoes and slippers are left at the entrance or main door.

Good price and vibes ”
Had a very cheap dorm, matrass was a bit strange at first but slept confortable. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Especially Elvie who I accidentally met in their second branch in El Nido. Bathroom wasn't that clean but doable. Location is a bit red light disctrict, bit difficult to walk at night without being harrased by massage girls etc. I would stay there again

great place for a stay”
arrived kinda late but still the staff welcomed and assisted me, the location is great cause it's not just near everything you might need(I.e restaurant, convenient store) but also some sight seeing sights and also clubs and bar. just wish they had bit faster internet since at the time of my stay there we're 2 available connections but 1st one sometimes disconnects due to distance restriction while the 2nd iskinda slow sometimes so had to either step out of room to get better signal on 1St connection or use mobile data. but overall it was nice, I would recommend it and would definitely be back.

New location, more spacious”
They already moved to a new location which is I guess a more spacious one. The common room is now bigger but they have fewer common CRs. The hostel is clean since they do not allow slippers or shoes inside. The breakfast is moderate. The staff are attentive & even helped us get a taxi thru grab. Will definitely go back to this place.

Free Manila Guided Tour, Clean Showers, Comfy Beds
The location is good, right opposite the food market where you can by fresh food for £1.50 like stir fried etc and a supermarket! A bit far from attractions like Fort Santiago and Rizal Park but the hostel offers a free guided tour which was fab and saved us money! Privacy curtains round bunk beds are great too and the showers and toilets were clean! Really helpful staff!

Finest hostels ever in Makati”
Friendly staff, pleasant rooms, and convenient access points anywhere to Makati
The moment you stepped in the room, you will be greeted their friendly staff who are ready to assist you in whatever you need, no wonder lots of backpackers are staying there. The service is just so awesome and the genuine hospitable is something you will never forget. Breakfast is provided, the washing area is well-maintained, and the living room is equipped with things that you can enjoy, tinker, and play. You will never regret this hostel, for a backpacker is just being at home.

Friendly and Helpful staffs, Clean and Comfortable room and Easy access to entertainment places and restaurants.
This is my second time staying at this wonderful hostel. The staffs are very friendly and helpful and they do organise activities for guests. They provide basic breakfast but I think its good enough for the price we pay. It is situated very near to pubs n bars so at night it will be a bit noisy but its ok.

Central location, friendly and helpful staff
Very good hostel, the double room deluxe is by far the best room, large and with ensuing bathroom. Other rooms rather small with shared bathroom. Staff very helpful, they fully refunded a room that we booked and didn't need. Located right in the heart of Makati with great food and entertainment nearby.

Comfortable stay at a budget accommodation”
good location and friendly service
i have stayed in hostels in other places in asia (singapore, hongkong, etc). i must say melting pot is one of the best hostels i've stayed. very clean room and cr (shared) and the staff are all friendly. there's also free breakfast until 11am. there are lots of nightlife nearby and it gets noisy during late nights. this is the only downside if you cant sleep with too much noise. i would recommend this place to those who wants to save in accommodation.
