More than average”
Room: Room is spacious with balcony. I opt for double bed and there are still space for another 2 extra beds. Toilet: Bright and clean ~ no complaint about this Balcony: Needs to be clean more often as I found Lizard's on the armchairs. View: From my room what I can see is the row of rooms with balcony of neighbor's hotel. Staff: overall they are friendly and very very helpful. Facilities: No facilities in the hotel. Not even swimming pool. Restaurant: Breakfast was normal (American breakfast set / No buffet) We had a few meals while staying there. Tried their fried chicken with basil, green curry, tom yam soup and fried glass noodle ... all are very delicious!!! yummy ~ Extras: Sabay sabay massage is just opposite the inn, we had massages 2 nights in a row and went back to a good night sleep immediately after that. Walking towards KATA centre is about 5-10 minutes. A lot of PUBs in the alley towards the hotel. But not as happening as in Katong!! Kata centre area is also not crowded. Maybe because it was not peak season when I went there (August) There were no public transport outside the hotel, you need to walk to Kata centre to get taxi (tuk-tuk). Lucky enough, we had transport arranged before we even reach Phuket. I will recommend you to stay here, if you are on budget travelling and looking just to relax at Kata Beach. Regards, Krisna

Great location!! Clean rooms!”
Outdoor Inn is a 5-minute walk to Kata Beach! I enjoyed the massage shop directly across the street almost everyday. Outood is walking distance to lots of night food and souvenir vendors. Even Outdoor's restaurant was delicious! Try the red curry! Mr. Nui, at the front desk, was amazingg! Great guy! He was so friendly, kind, and helpful! Definitely ask for his friend to book your excursions (e.g. elephant trekking, Phi Phi Island All-Day trip, etc.). In addition, they clean your room everyday! Fresh towels everyday, unless you request otherwise (eco-friendly). The only area for improvement is the wifi....it wasn't very strong in the lobby or the 1st floor, and my room was 2 doors over from the wireless router. Hit or miss with the wifi, but they do have a computer room/lounge next to the lobby/restaurant.

Good location, perfect room, close to beach”
Outdoor Inn was a good place for a good price. Usually we find somewhere we would have rather stayed (once it is too late and we're already there), but we were happy with our selection. We read other negative reviews, but have no complaints about our fourth floor room. 406 was perfect. Kata is MUCH better than Patong for us - a couple who wants quieter and less-touristy, with plenty of access to food, travel agents, and the conveniences of the modern world.

A good, basic accomodation.”
Although nothing much to say against Outdoor Inn & Restaurant itself, we least enjoyed our stay in Phuket out of all the stops on our trip. Neither the hotel or its location on Kata Rd was aesthetically pleasing.. (although, nor was most Phuket, as far as we could tell). This being said, the accomodation wasn't bad, with clean rooms and bathrooms, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast not being included is a definite disadvantage, as it means spending additional baht every morning and food is rather expensive (like everything) in Phuket. A tiny complaint against the staff when we asked them if they would please book us a taxi to the airport when we left. We were lead to believe this had been done but in fact they took us in their own minivan. Apart from this, our stay was reasonably good.

Outdoor Inn and Restaurant - Kata Beach, Phuket”
We were pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to stay at the Outdoor Inn and Restaurant.....we originally booked for 3 nights and decided to stay another 7 nights....They provided nice beach towels for the beach, arranged transportation when needed, and gave good advice as to which sites to take in for the tourists...the staff were always polite and helpful.....the accommodations were really clean and we had a nice balcony off the room.....the bed was a king size and very comfortable...the restaurant had a really good menu and the food was great....we would definitely recommend the Outdoor Inn and Restaurant to other travellers and would stay there again, ourselves.....

A Beautiful Hotel”
The Outdoor Inn and Restaurant is a very nice, clean hotel in the Kata Beach area. I enjoyed time reading on the outdoor balcony of my room and then walking 200 meters to the beach. Kata Beach and the Outdoor Inn & Restaurant are a great place to stay for families or for guests who want a quieter place than the Patong region.

3 Star Hotel with a Five Star Service!”
We went there in February.Beach is 5 min away, main street (Centre) of Kata Beach is 1 min away, this is prime location and pretty much everything is 5 min walk away or less. Hotel is very clean and tidy.Was surprised at the huge rooms which were spotless. Nice 32" LCD Panasonic TV with several channels (few movie channels,few sport,National Geo..etc).. Room service is best thing i liked about Outdoor Inn. All in all this is great little family friendly Hotel with a staff and service level up there with the best.

Outdoor Inn Hotel and Restaurant Overview”
Hello, I'd like to comment for my stay in Outdoor Inn Hotel and Restaurant during my trip to Phuket in 29Jul-2Aug with my best buddies. I like the most is the cleanliness of it, everyday the rooms are cleaned by staffs, fresh towels and bedsheets are neat and clean. Hot and cold water for bathing are good. But the minus score is there's no elevator in it. Since I'm travelling with 1 big luggage and 1 hand bag, it kinda difficult for us the ladies going up to our rooms. And there was no room boy to help us with luggages. Even its only 3 storey building, i think the elevator should be an important issue to brought up.

It's my first visit to Phuket. I am lucky to stay at Outdoor Inn. It's worth to stay there. The surrounding areas is great with good scene of the street along Karon and Kata beach, good food, friendly local people. Nice place ”
We stayed only for one night at the Outdoor Inn. We arrived to Phuket at night and it was a good solution. The price of the room is rather cheap and you get back your money's worth. The room was bigger than we expected and it was very clean and pleasant. We asked for a back room so we wouldn't wake up early from the street noise so the balcony didn't have a nice view but it didn't matter to us. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.

Lovely place”
One of the nicest hotels we've stayed in during our Thailand trip. We actually spent a few days in Phi Phi and came back and stayed at the Outdoor Inn again and they were so lovely giving us the same room we had last time. It felt so homey. Kata Beach is beautiful and the hotel is close to the beach via a short cut. It was really lovely place and excellent value for money.

Agree with other reports that the desk staff weren't too welcoming or friendly when we arrived. Although we have since tlaked more to them and they aren't too bad. Meanwhile all of the others are wonderful, the restaurant staff are lovely. Also agree that the food is a little sanitised towards Western tastes - but no problem Kata Road caters to all preference within a few minutes walk. In all - great place to stay and crazy off season value, the Agoda confirmation text to my uk mobile probably cost me more to receive! FYI there are other hotels within a stones throw that are an extra couple of £s or so (low season) that have pools......At the time of writing we are the only guests here and next door has one guest in twice as many rooms.....also online booking here is cheaper than a cash deal on-site....

budgetwise - in top 10 places to stay”
We stayed in this Outdoor Inn hotel without any expectations, except from the Agoda reviewers and - we were very much surprized that this place offered more than what we thought very clean room with daily room service, changing things, good AC, nice WiFi (sometimes not so nice:) in a close vicinity to the beach and touristic streets. Only one minus - it was noisy enough during evening times because of the musics penetrating from the ground cafes. The rest was just super, than you, guys!

Great Kata Beach location”
The Outdoor Inn and Restaurant is a newer hotel in a great Kata Beach location. The rooms are very clean and the staff is very friendly and polite. You can rent motorbikes at the hotel and ride everywhere around Kata Beach area and down to NaiHarn Beach. There is a farmers market just down the Soi from this hotel on Mondays and Thursdays. I would stay there in the future.

The Outdoor Inn is located in the budget hotel area of Kata around 200m from the beach via an alley way. There are lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance however you do have to walk past the seedy area to get to them. The hotel itself is basic but good value. The rooms are cleaned daily as well as fresh towels daily. The Outdoor Inn Restaurant is also very good for Thai food and evening meals include a free salad bar. The staff are also very polite and helpful.

lovely kata beach”
When we arrived, we found out there were three outdoor restaurants. Only one had a inn. Luckily they had a driver pick us up, else it would've been an expensive tuk tuk. The stay was pleasant and the restaurant served up good food. The room was nice and clean with western style toilet. Kata beach is a five minute walk away. All in all, we had such a good time we stayed an extra day.

Awesome location with balcony yet at a low price”
Stayed 2 nights at Outdoor Inn & Restaurant, was impressed by its cleaniness and staff service. Location is just a mere 5 minutes walk to Kata Beach which the hotel staff will advise you which route to take. I will go back to this Inn if I ever have the chance to go back to Kata!

Great Value”
Nice hotel that is just about 5 minutes walk from Kata and Karon Beach. Clean, the room has a big balcony and a large comfortable bed. Internet connection is also great. But i like most the location. Near the beach, there are restaurants, shops and convenience stores everywhere. Noise is never an issue at night during my stay there. Try Kata/Karon Beach during your next visit to Phuket. They are less noisy than Patong Beach and is a perfect beach for the family.

It was a nice hotel with close enough proximity to beach, small market and the main street of Kata. Restaurant at bottom floor had good food but did not offer breakfast before 8. This made it hard when pick ups for day tours were at 7-730, and hard when leaving early for airport. The beach was about a 10 minute walk and was a good spot for snorkelling (good visibility. In conclusion, good hotel.

close to beautiful Kata beach”
outdoor inn and restaurant is located close to both beach and kata business streets. it's a bit away from all the traffic but near it has fair share of bars, massage parlors, and restaurants. this is a simple inn as you can see from it's name but it's clean and spacious. it has a small pool but for only about 6-7 minutes to the most beautiful part of kata beach, not much of reason to use the pool but it's there. the only "problem" for some travelers is that it has no elevator. in general, a good value for that i paid.
