Nice staff and nice location ”
The hotel is right next to the hell valley. The hot spring bath was reasonable sized and the room size was ok. Pros: friendly staff, good enough English, valet parking service Cons: the spray bits of the toilet seat was not quite clean as I could see visible mould and the toilet room is a bit old.
Very relax and comfy place”
Extraordinary service. Spacious room and food are great! Onsen is new experience to us, and very wonderful. Cannot expect more. Highly recommend for short stay to refresh the mind, and heal the tired body.
Recommended, lots of other onsen ryokans available”
After we booked this onsen ryokan, we realized that this is the same accommodation we stayed some 6 years ago, during summer! Winter (from 1 Dec), it gets really pricey, with kaiseki dinner ... There were 3 of us - hubby & 16yo tall boy. We booked a Japanese room with 8 tatami (a little tight) and were upgraded to a room with a separate room with 2 western beds! Dinner & breakfast were served in the room. Both meals were exceptional! Worth the $$$$$ Onsen was great with outdoor tub facing the hills. Really good stay! Highly recommended. It is within 1km to the natural foot bath (slightly uphill) and also within 3-5mins of the main shopping street. Noboribetsu is pretty compact ... shopping street (walk from bus terminal, though we drove), through the Hell Valley hikes and then to the natural foot bath ... a nice round trip ...
Good location ”
Nice tatami room, friendly staff. Enjoyed the indoor and outdoor onsens. There are lesser guests as compared to other popular hotels nearby which also means I can use the onsens alone sometimes or share with only few people. The airport bus station to CTS airport just 1 min away from the hotel.
Japanese Style Room”
when booked this hotel we already know that this is an old style Japanese hotel so don't expect some fancy facilities and u will found those old good stuff is just fine ,real fine 2 adults and 2 children is good for this room, breakfast will serve in room and that's good because we are not worry that our kids will disturb the peace in this hotel everyday we will shower and enjoy the hot spring in their onsen so not really have comment bout their toilet :) i love this place
Nice service and extravagant meals!”
I have a great stay at this place. All staffs were very nice and helpful, especially the lady in traditional costume. The hotel locates next to a river and at a walkable distance from the walking street and the Hell Valley. Their food courses were crazyyyyyyy! It was very nice and authentic meals, both dinner and breakfast. The onsen was a bit small but still nice. I love the Yukata they provided as well. You can tell that the hotel is a bit outdated, but it was well taken care of. Nonetheless, I did have a problem with the bathroom as it was flooded when I took a bath! A little smthing that I would suggest the hotel to improve. Other than that it's all good :)
Japanese Style Onsen Hotel”
A great place if you want experience traditional Japanese Onsen and hotel services. The room is very spacious and the staff were kind and helpful. The hotel was there for quite some years and thus it might be a bit old but we liked it very much. The Onsen pool is small and old but it also means the whole place is quite and not so crowded.
Recommend for 1 night stay”
Staff were friendly and courteous. Meals were served punctually and futons were promptly rolled out after dinner. Facilities were a little old but clean. Stayed here for 2 nights. 1st day's dinner and breakfast was great. Ingredients were japanese and felt fresh. 2nd day's dinner and breakfast was quite disappointing as there seemed to be westernized items on the menu such as eggs with bacon and sausage. I would not want to repeat a 2nd day's stay. Would only recommend to stay one night.
Property is old but well maintained and clean. Dinner was not as exciting and delicious judging from the price this place is charging. Breakfast was slightly better. Onsen was great, but overall experience, not worth paying for.
Friendly staffs and very nice food. Outdoor Onsen is very natural
Good Traditional Stay”
Managed to enjoy onsen alone since the Ryokan not crowded with tourists. The Kaiseki dinner was great, both dinner (latest timing 8pm) and Bkfast ( latest timing 7.45am) served in our room.
Traditional onsen hotel, with friendly staff. Room comes with robes and onsen materials. There is no restaurant, but it is possible to order breakfast and dinner to be served in your room, but you must reserve this at least three days in advance. Plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby. The onsen itself is truly lovely. Onsen etiquette is clearly explained for foreigners, so it’s a great place for a first onsen visit. I wish we’d stayed more than one night.
Traditional Japanese Style ”
Stayed for 1 night. The room we booked consist of 1 bedroom, 1 living room with toilet near the entrance door. Our baby just loved it running from one room to the other. It was so different from the other small hotels rooms in Japan. Withing walking distance to the Shopping Street and the tourist attraction. Will consider staying again if I go there again.
Lovely and quiet ryokan in Noboribetsu”
Nicely located on a quiet roadside quite close to all of the main tourist sights in Noboribetsu (although some you need to take a bus ride for roughly 15 to 20 minutes). At night, all you can hear is the river flowing outside of your room which is kind of soothing. Staff was very polite, helpful, and attentive. Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Onsen was relaxing, and has both indoor and outdoor option. Overall it was a nice stay at Oyado Kiyomizuya.
nice spring hotel”
the resort is within walking distance of the attractions and shops in that area. hot spring is kind of small but service is very great. remember to check-in before you go to the bear farm for a small discount.
Good ryoukan with halfboard”
All staffs are nice. They drive us to the Hell valley. Take are in room by serve 3 times of hot green tea, full course of dinner and big meal of breakfast. All food are super delicious and well prepare. Hotel is a bit old but comfort enough. One thing concern is about not Wi-Fi in room, and only available at the main lobby.
The people here were so friendly and courteous and helpful, it was amazing... even by Japanese standards, they went above and beyond. You take your shoes off as you enter the hotel, and they immediately take them away... but as you approach the entrance, someone scurries out with your shoes - and they're in front of you as you get to the door. No "what is your room #?" or anything... they just know. Also, the location is great. Just two blocks off of the main tourist street, but it feels like your in the woods - right above a babbling brook.
We had a great stay at this very hospitable hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the general manager even gave us a bottle of wine as goodbye gift. Good location - short walk to restaurants and nearby attractions like Hell Valley. Love the breakfast at the hotel in a special tatami room where the staff served us tradition Japanese breakfast. The rooms are very clean and tidy. Oh yes the onsen, love it!!
Nice hot spa , kindly staff”
All the staffs were kindly and patiently , the hotel is very traditional Japanese style , including spa room , japanese food and so on . They gave us an advice to watch seasonal salmon's migratory at seashore, that was awesome I never see it, thousands of pacific salmon in the shadow brook.
