I got information about MAUMU Hotel & Lounge from my friend who lived in Surabaya. She knew i was just alone in this business trip. So she referenced it to me in order i could got entertaiment and foods that i loved closely and easily. Thanks to her i love to stay in Maumu, even it's just one night stay. Maumu located in Jalan Walikota Mustajab is close to heart of Surabaya City. The first floor there's Naff karaoke so that i could spend my night with singing in the first floor. Then went to the bar in the late night.. i will stay in this hotel again in my next trip to Surabaya

Nice hotel near Surabaya train station”
Maumu Hotel is nice and clean and we got the value for our money. The hotel has all the essentials: wifi, tv and free breakfast. It is quite near the Surabaya Gubeng train station. We took a cab to get here. The bus terminal Bungurasih is 30 mins away by cab.

No window but comfortable nonetheless!”
I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay at Maumu Hotel & Lounge. The entrance was a bit unusual because it was simply a parking lot where there's a lift taking you to different parts of the building (hotel entrance, lounge or family karaoke place). It cost us around Rp100.000 for a taxi ride from the airport and the taxi driver recognized straightaway when we mentioned the hotel. The lounge has varied menu (this was also the place where they served the buffet breakfast). However the room I was in had no window (which I didn't have any problem with) because we could always had a nice drink in the lounge with an excellent city view. The only downside was the room wall was thin, we could heard noises from the hall.

Excellent location in the heart of Surabaya. Plenty of options to eat within a walking distance many of which are open 24/7. Rooms are clean, the staff is very helpful and friendly. Hot water, nicely working AC, TV, small fridge and electric kettle are available in the room. The only downside I would like to mention is that the WiFi in the rooms is a bit weak. The signal indicator shows a max strength but the speed is a bit slow even thou enough for email, social media and messengers. Definitely will stay here again and will recommend it for everyone who seeks a nice and pleasant stay in Surabaya.

The location is at downtown Surabaya, near Tunjungan Plaza, first come you will get a little difficult to find this hotel, you just ask a parking officer at jalan mustajab and they will help you. the room is very cozy and the furniture are great. the bathroom is clean enough and the breakfast is good. i will stay in this hotel when i'm back to Surabaya for sure

Comfortable and Great Value for Money”
The hotel is very clean and enterprising. The specialty of these hotel they have very friendly and courteous staffs. Indeed all of them are very helpful throughout our stay. Another plus point of this hotel was they have their own bar lounge on the top where it is very calming and nice to see the view of Surabaya city at night with the soothing music and a glass of wine. You can also find lots of local delicacies once you exit the entrance of the hotel. The street and restaurant food along the hotel seems to be tasty and delicious especially the Ayam Bakar Wong Solo. Besides that, this hotel is strategically located whereby just a stroll away you can get to the Grand City Mall it is branded shopping place, you also can find nice cafe and cinema to get rid of your stress day. It takes 10 min walk to Grand City and about 20 min to Tunjungan Plaza the shoppers paradise. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who comes with family, couples or even friends. This hotel is just have a perfect location, its in the center of town, near every where, you can easily find transport taxi, becak etc... There are so many restaurant near the hotel including sate klopo that is very famous in surabaya as its sooo yummy.. Also mie kocok bandung, ayam bakar wong solo, sop ikan. Iga bakar etc...

Very good value hotel”
The hotel location is quite convenient as located in the center of surabaya, near main roads and shopping malls. The staffs are friendly, the rooms are neat and well equipped and convenient. I had a pleasant stay in this hotel, but they need to cover the sound from the karaoke downstairs as the sounds still can be heard from the room. I had a good sleep though, will come again next time I go to surabaya.

Lovely hotel and service with wi-fi connection”
It was such a pleasure for me to stay at Maumu Hotel. it is located in the centre of Surabaya's business area, which made me easily could go shopping and doing my job. Even though the room is not so big, but it is clean and comfortable enough for me. The best thing about this hotel is the wi-fi connection that served me with a high speed connection. Meanwhile, the breakfast at this hotel was not good at all, even at my second day staying there, i decided not to have any breakfast anymore. to conclude it, i recommend to all of you guys who is looking for a good hotel with cheap price.

a hotel in a different shape”
usually hotel front office located on the ground or 1st floor. but this hotel comes in different shape, not like ordinary hotel. ground floor is car park area and elevator to higher level. 2nd floor is nav nav karaoke both for hotel guest and for public. there is no 3rd and 4th level.guest room starts from 5th floor (till the top (8th) floor) in which the reception loacated. even tough there is only 51 rooms but they comes in various room type including junior suite, executive suite etc. amenities inside the room is ok as well as in the bathroom. guest bed uses a highly reputable brand which provide you good sleep. security aspect also taken into consideration with the usage of a card room key. only this card is very sensitive, i must re-activated two times during my stay. the front office staff said it is the effect of mobile phone radiation if we stored it near mobile phone. restaurant is located on the top floor. the meal selection is quite variative (bread, rice, noodle, fruits, fresh juice and milk)and the breakfast price (should you bring extra guest) is very reasonable. one thing that disappoint me is that they dont provide extra bed and because of limited staff in front office, sometimes our call is unanswerred.

Large room-close to many shopping malls”
When you arrive at the hotel you just see an elevator on the ground floor-which confused me at first. The reception is on 4th floor. I had deluxe room which was not much extra $ and it was large and comfortable. The lounge on the top floor is open all day for snacks(some free) and dining.It is nice for relaxing and guests are free to use it anytime even without purchase.There is a lovely city view from there. The staff are very nice and although limited English they did everything to help. The buffet breakfast is limited but quite nice and great at these prices. The windows in room open and so smoking is allowed.

I stayed on this hotel last March, it small hotel but they tried to offer one stop service due to entertaining place under the hotel, it so perfect hotel but nice enough compare with their room price, compare budget chain hotel the room size this hotel are good still location very easy close by to mall in surabaya !
