weekend not-so-good
Checked in late at about 7:30pm...staff was not readily available. We waited for about 10 min before somebody appeared to entertain us. The CR of the cottage where we stayed was smelly. My kids were not happy and complaining due to small cockroaches and ants on the wall. Though the place was nice, we were not able to sleep due to a group who tried their "best but weren't good enough" at the karaoke on nearby cottage that lasted until 4 in the morning.

anti-social hang out
well that's because of the free wifi haha! everything here is damn free you'd almost want to offer an extra payment haha. there are few groups who stayed during our stay which makes us feel like we own the whole resort. the swimming pool is very clean and inviting plus they have a well maintained garden of flower all over the resort. they even got a hot water on their shower which we didn't really expect for the amount that we paid. non aircon room is not a problem, it's actually very cold at night you might not be using even the electric fan. we're not bothered by the mosquitoes and we didn't even noticed any really. we visited tagaytay places like picnic grove and magallanes square which is very accessible via jeepney or tryk ride in 5-10mins plus its far from too much crowd of tagaytay. during the night we brought some pizza and bought some beers inside the resort which even have lower prices than any convenience store. the staff are so accomodating they'd even cook for your breakfast by request for only 90pesos with unlimited coffee hehe. i have actually been here 3x already with 3different groups because of the service i get out of the small amount of money they charge. this place will always be my first love :] cheers to ate jen, ate en and others staff! see you next time!

okay, for a 2-star hotel
hot shower, attentive staff who provided good service, ambience
We opted to stay here because we thought the nipa huts were cool and there's supposed to be a trail that leads to a waterfall at he back of the resort. The sheets and covers were fresh and clean, the toilet was clean, and hot water set in as soon as the hot shower knob was turned on. Aircon worked fine, but the TV could barely get a signal. Pool was clean, but the slides and swing in the playground were all worn and chipped. Food was good with huge serving. Waze wasn't able to point us to the correct destination though, so you need to ask for directions as it's off the road.

Not worth your money nor safety!!!
I had this very bad experience to this place. We arrived late because we had a hard time looking for it. They don't have big signage to indicate name of resort and also people we asked for the location were not familiar of the resort. I understand why... Oyster Forest Life has this dirty swimming pool with insecta in it (seems like they are not cleaning the pool regularly), a not child-friendly mini playground, no aircon for 6pax room, no remote control for television, smelly sheets, manual aircon for 2pax room and had those weird looking dogs running around the area. Scary and creepy at night because around the resort are just open lot with grasses. Will not recommend to stay there. That is why we decided to just leave before something happens to us. Thank God we're safe.
