Simple bungalows at amazing beach”
Spent a couple of days at P.A.N beach during Xmas period. Around 15 bungalows with basic equipment, cold shower, electricity from 6pm to 6am. We liked the simple huts... you don't need European-stlyle luxury if you have that great nature environment. Besides the bungalows there's a small restaurant where you get drinks and good Thai-food all day. But then that's it. No crowds, no shops. No nightlife. Easy to get to AoNang, the tourist hotspot (taxi or 20 min. walk and longtail). From there take Longtail boat or Speed boat to all other islands. You can also book various day trips with pick up from P.A.N beach. Very easy. In the evening simply enjoy a Singha/Chang beer at the beach and say hello to crabs.

Good value on a quiet beach”
Old time backpackers will like PAN – rooms are beach bungalows mk2, the more durable/comfortable type which replaced the first bamboo jobs. Price is right too – most bungalows of this type in the Andaman are at least 30% dearer. They should approve of the position too - PAN is located on Hat Ton Son beach (the western extension of Hat Nopparat ACROSS THE OTHER SIDE of the small river from the main Nopparat beach), which is the least developed, most laid back on the Krabi coast. This has nice sand, ok swimming above half tide and a good outlook towards the offshore islands, but does suffer the low tide blues. Other reviews have talked of isolation without a vehicle – but the cheap way to Ao Nang is to walk the beach to the klong (15 minutes – PAN is near the far western end of this beach), hail one of the longtail boats to take you across for 50baht (less than $2), walk the short distance to the main road and catch one of the frequently passing Krabi town to Ao Nang songthaew taxi buses for the 3km into Ao Nang (20b). Or walk this last step on the winding path under the trees in back of Nopparat beach in around 40 minutes. Thais seemed to approve of this place too – the weekend saw most of the vacant bungalows taken by Thai families – always an indication of value and good food. Holidaying Thais tend to be good neighbors. My bungalow was just big enough for two + gear, was clean, had a firm but comfy queen sized bed, good insect screens on the windows but no net, quiet fan, lots of internal lines and clothes hangers, and okay bathroom with bucket flush western toilet, a nice veranda with hammock. It was very quiet at night with no traffic or long tail boat noise. The sea view restaurant served nice food. Pricing was scattered – western seemed cheaper than average budget bungalows, some Thai cheaper, some higher. Small Chang beers at 50baht were the cheapest of a dozen similar restaurants all trip. Staff was friendly and obliging with Pan herself having good English.

Beautiful and quiet place to come down”
I stayed just for two nights and searched for a quiet and not so touristical place to come down, chill and relax. I needed to escape the urbanjungle of Bangkok and found the opposite by staying at Pan Beach Bungalows. A awesome place to be. I like ist easy and clean, so it was perfect. Even if especially the bathroom and the shower is a bit outworn and the electricity runs only from 6pm to 6am, you have everything you need. The Place is a bit far away from Aonang, so when you take the Shuttlebus (150 THB) from Krabi Airport, it will only take you to Aonang. The rest of the way, you can take a TukTuk (500 THB asking price). You can also order a transfer at the Pan Beach Bungalows (700 THB)

Amazing place to stay beautiful & peaceful”
This was the first stop of our stay in Thailand, it is a bit out of the way from Ao Nang town (10 mins max on moped) but it makes little drive. The bungalows are very clean and staff are very welcoming and helpful. The beach it is situated on is fantastic. a long stretch of private beach to yourself with an island within walking distance when the tide goes out. Plenty of shells and sea life to enjoy especially for children, crabs starfish clams etc. the place is surreal. We loved it and will definitely be back. Just be warned that the bungalows are very warm so be sure to get one with A.C. as you will need it! Also the food here is gorgeous and reasonably priced. Moped can be rented for 250 baht a day and only costs 80 baht to fill the tank. All in all a wonderful stay here.

Wonderful experience”
We couldn't have asked for more! Having done the beach bungalow thing many times, these bungalows are excellent value for money. They are the biggest we have stayed in, super clean with comfortable beds. All bungalows have their own private balconies with chairs, tables and hammocks. Even if you are the last bungalow from the beach you are still spitting distance to it. All the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and really made us feel at home. There are also scooters that can be hired from here as well. If we ever come back to this area we would without hesitation stay here.

Simple but excellent location”
I loved it here. I arrived here in the middle of the Christmas break when everywhere was booked up and was looking for somewhere away from the tourist crowds of Ao Nang and wanted a peaceful beach. That's exactly what I got! The beach is wonderful, the water is murky so definitely no snorkelling here. Bring your own mosquito net, otherwise everything is pretty standard for their category. A lot of reviews were unhappy about the 6am-6pm no electricity, however, you can go to the next door bungalows' restaurant, and use the electricity there. In fact I think although their menu is about 30-60% more expensive, it is definitely at least that much better too. The staff were very nice.

Cheap Paradise”
PAN is a beach bungalow off the beaten path. It's a bungalow in the style of a Thai beach shack. The water is cold, there are bugs, barking dogs and yes it's still amazing. So if you are a prissy pants that needs everything perfect and clean this place isn't for you. If you like simple living in paradise with cool people and yummy food come stay you won't want to leave.

Quiet and beautiful beach to relax”
These bungalows are at a very quiet beach. We came here directly from the airport and enjoyed our time here. The restaurant is very good, the bungalows are basic but good for its price. The family and the staff are very nice. We would definitely come back to this beautiful spot!

Good stay in PAN Beach”
Stayed in PAN Beach for New Years. The place has great location, on the beach close to Ao Nang. Very relaxing, really enjoyed my stay. Food is also reasonably priced, which is important because we had all three meals in the hotel. Drinks are also ok priced. The only thing they must improve is the bathrooms in the bungalows and improve overall cleanliness of the rooms.

Relaxation in a wonderful setting.”
We had a very enjoyable stay and would recommend these bungalows. We loved being away from the hubbub, but transport was available when needed, so we didn't feel totally isolated. We enjoyed the local food at the restaurant and loved the lassi's. The staff were very helpful and friendly and after I was bitten by sandflies they personally applied some home remedy lotion, on two occasions, which helped a lot, I was very appreciative. The bungalows are fairly basic, but the beds are comfortable and the temperatures are warm enough so that the lack of warm water in the shower isn't a big issue. The lack of electricity during the day means that one can't really relax in the bungalow during the day, just too hot; which was a bit unfortunate, but there were enough lounge chairs in the shade at the beach to go and rest during the heat of the day.

Relaxing, beautiful and affordable ”
PAN beach is the perfect place to stay if you like a relaxing beachside atmosphere. The bungalows are small and comfortable. Having no electricity during the day is not an issue at all when you are in such a beautiful place. Wifi is available all day anyway. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The food at the restaurant is a little bit more expensive than in town but there is a huge variety and everything we had was delicious. This is not a place for people who expect a 5 star resort but if you don’t need all the fancy stuff it’s a perfect beachside paradise.

Basic, quiet, regenerating”
This place is basic and ideal for someone who wants to sit on the beach or swing in a hammock all day. The owner is on site all day and provides breakfast, lunch and dinner at the open air restaurant overlooking the beach. There are three dogs who live there who are friendly but occasionally noisy at night when they detect something on the beach (wear ear plugs!). Each room is a shack on stilts with a basic shower, non-flush toilet and wash basin. Some have fans and some have air con but you want to be in the first 6 rooms as the rear ones are close to the generator which runs from 6pm to 6am (strangely because all it does it power a set of lights around the restaurant which closes at 11-12. However, it is good to be able to recharge phones, tablets and computers but you won't need them much as there is only slow internet at best. The best thing to do is to not expect anything but sun, sea, walking and swimming and you will have a good time. Don't expect anything above basic accommodation as you will be disappointed. It is far enough from Ao Nang to avoid most tourists but if you want to go to town you can borrow a bicycle or hire a scooter on site for200 Baht a day. The ride goes along a rough main road for about half a mile before turning onto side roads which are in good condition. The ferry to Phi Phi or Rai Ley beach goes from the estuary between the resort and the town but you can only get to it by bicycle, scooter or taxi. I would stay here again any time!

You won't want to leave!”
I can't praise the wonderful Pan and her staff enough! I stayed for 4 nights and got more than what I expected for the money. The location is excellent as it was away from the usual tourist spots such as Ao Nang (though some may consider that as a con as a taxi will cost you about 500Baht?) I was greeted from my transfer by Pan on arrival and well looked after as I felt other resorts have discriminated against me due to being a young traveller on my own. She would have a beer waiting for me at the end of each day and was so helpful in guiding me through booking tours and wouldn't charge me as much as was advertised! There's only around 15-20 bungalows on site and it's always relaxed and having your own private beach tops it off!

AMAZING”
AMAZING; I loved everything about this place and 100% will return again. The beach was isolated and beautiful, the bungalows were cute and cozy, the staff was absolutely incredible, I felt so safe, and the food was out of this world. I highly highly recommend staying here.

Relaxing in nature”
The bungalow was simple, but it was very nice relax after few days in Bangkok. The garden was quite, no one on the beach, staff was very very helpful. You can book the ferry to the islands directly on the reception. We spent very nice and relaxing time in there. There are no shops near, so be prepared to use local restaurant. Also with the transportation to the hotel it was bit difficult, as on the map it looks very close to Ao Nang beach, but if you use taxi or tuk tuk, you need to cross the bridge which it makes little bit far away. There is possibility to use the ferry from Ao Nang to PANs beach, but we did not try it, so I am not sure how it works. The beach is ok, but not extraordinary. I would really recommend this place if you want to enjoy the real RELAX without people and noise.

Beautiful place right on the beach”
pan bungalows is a great place for young kids to play on the beach with very shallow water and little surf. get the higher priced bungalow. they are much nicer although the bathroom facilities are still fairly minimalistic with cold water and bucket flush toilets. staff are very friendly and food is okay, but not brilliant for the cost. lovely to sit under an umbrella right on the beach and have food and beer brought to you. you can also walk down the beach to sample the food at a couple of the other bungalow places.

Great place”
I enjoyed my time at Pan. I was looking for a place that was quiet and relaxed. It was perfect for that. But be aware there is no electricity between 7 am and 6 pm. Also the bungalows are very basic. The staff is very kind and helpful. I appreciated their help with arranging a motorbike to rent. And they were very patient with me practicing my terrible Thai. That was much appreciated. The food could be improved. The massaman curry was very good the first night, but the other nights left a lot to be desired: potatoes undercooked etc.

Simply beautiful place on the beach”
We really appreciated the tranquility of PAN Beach. The accommodation is simple and clean. It's a perfect place to relax with young children as well as a romantic break for couples. Chilling out on the beach and borrowing a bike for free were exactly what we'd hope to do. Eating at PAN's restaurant was great, too. Delicious food for reasonable prices with a beautiful enjoy of the sea to enjoy. Anyone afraid of frogs, monkeys, bugs, geckos or dogs probably should think twice about coming here. We're not afraid at all. My friend found a frog in the toilet during the night, which we thought was hilarious. Also, I think it's worth mentioning that it costs 400Baht from Ao Nang to PAN's by tuk-tuk. That is almost the price of our previous hut. We asked about it and learned that it was the cheapest and easiest way to get there. A taxi costs 500Baht and you can take two boats, which is, apparently, quite troublesome.

Nice secluded location, cheap basic rooms ”
We arrived in Krabi and 07:00pm and found out that you needed to get a boat to get to the hotel as the roads weren't drivable and the harbour had closed as the tide goes out. luckily a local took us as far as he could and then had to walk 30mins in the dark as its the last one out of the 3. Rooms are very basic, bathroom is like a sauna and we had someone cutting down a tree behind our hut at 08:00am! Location is amazing with a lot of families staying there due to its secluded location is very safe! Beach has loads of crabs and has an amazing view out to sea.
