Relaxed backpacker experience”
Stayed in the small hut(only one available). Room was clean. No luxurary but basic hut with nice decorations like pictures and shells. Hot shower and western toilet. Could hear the waves, only 20m from the beach. For the price a good find on koh kood! Bar staff was more of a quiet person, but actually very friendly. Would stay again!

Budget stay with some charms”
Pa Hin Sai is located on a long, private beach, next door to the more upmarket Cham's House. The latter has more sand, the former more (generally smooth and easy to navigate) rocks. The snorkelling off both is great (bathwater-warm with lots of tropical fish to see), and there's nothing to stop you swimming across to Cham's. The Thai food at Pa Hin Sai is great, and cheap, if a little limited. (You can order off-menu, though; they're pretty flexible.) They have good, new scooters for hire at the market rate (250TBH/day), and they have kayaks and some snorkelling gear available. DTAC reception is unfortunately poor (AIS is better). The bungalows are large, with newly refurbished bathrooms, good linens and mosquito nets. However, the jungle location means occasional loud critters nearby. Our bungalow #1, which was close enough to the restaurant to get intermittent WiFi signal, had a resident mouse, which liked chewing the walls at night. Hopefully it will be taken care of soon...

Beautiful, but the bungalows should be cleaner”
The location is pretty great and the views are really beautiful. Not only the bungalow itself was cute, but the view outside was amazing as well, even though we were staying there during the low season. The staff was friendly, but only a couple of them spoke English (and one of them was a French guy, who said he was about to start a business of his own, so I guess he's not going to be there for long). There's a cheap motorbike rental at their place and they even gave us back half of our money, because we were only out for a few hours, instead of the whole day due to an accident. The beach has a lot of rocks on it and the waves are rather large and strong. Bang Bao bay is better for people who want calm waters. The bungalow is really dirty. The drainage hole in the shower has become stuck because of some growth, so there was a second one, which also had some growth coming out of it. It also was the entry point of mice into our bungalow. The host said that we attracted mice because we had food in our room (we had a bag of cashew nuts). But the mice came before we bought our nuts and actually stole our soap. We found the soap underneath the sink, along with another - older - soap, both of which were half eaten. This means that the mice were regular visitors even before we came. There is also some life living in the ceiling (we first thought it might be the lizards, but those guys never hide from people, and we never saw anything). It would not really be a problem, but they poop a lot and if you leave anything on the floor, it will likely get pooped on. We believe the net around the bed was there to protect us from the projectile poop, rather than insects. But, according to the hosts, this is normal, as the jungle is nearby. They have us a cage to catch the mice and we did (we caught two). The food in their restaurant is pretty good and the cocktails are as well, although they are a bit stronger than their counterparts in Europe.

Love this place”
I would recommend this wonderful resort to people who really loves nature. The hut is big and clean. Staffs are very nice. Food is good. Resort is located in private beach, very quiet and peaceful. But not recommend for people who expects luxurly. With the price you pay, this is one of the best place to be.

Well here we go again ”
Well of beaten track , need to rent bike but the one we had was excellent, staff very offish at first but were brilliant by last night when we moved elsewhere, and even gave us a lift . Bathroom was appalling, shower was a sprinkle we ended up going to waterfall! . Pa Hin sai means jungle rocks sand, so don’t expect a great beach . However we enjoyed our stay , great but reserved staff and would have stayed longer , we moved because had booked elsewhere not because of anything else ,. Ps had great frog with us in bathroom , good fun . Didn’t eat there as always out . But would recommend , value for money , yes , . If you rent bike get it from resort , far cheaper and good condition. Oh don’t expect WiFi or tv , WiFi in reception no problem. Roads to resort a bit tricky on bike, anyhow still worth a visit

Awesome experience”
I had a small hut to myself that was beach front. Quiet and not your usual crowdy resort. I loved every moment of my stay. I will return if given the chance! The only sad thing is the sea garbage that finds its way to the shore.

Great Little Get-Away”
For what it is, it's a great little resort. If you're looking for a 4 or 5 star resort then this isn't the place for you, although if you're looking for somewhere simple, peaceful and beautiful to escape for a few days, then I highly recommend this place. Bungalows were clean and comfortable and the ocean sounds helped soothe you to sleep every night. Loved it!

Perfect place to relax”
We stayed there for 12 nights. Absolutely nothing to complain. The place is perfect for a getaway from the busy and touristic areas from the rest of Thailand. Not for party seekers, but for those whose are about to lay down and relax thw place is perfect. Nothing too fancy, but nothing too budget either. Would defenletly come back if possible!

Basic but nice”
All huts are located right in front of the sea, with spacious gaps in between so you have the sense of escaping from the tourist trap. It is more basic than other accommodation of a similar price. The staff were very nice and friendly but a bit of work to the huts and cleaning the rooms daily would go a long way (we had to ask them on Day 3 to do this) We found various bugs in our bathroom which could be prevented with a simple gauze. The lighting was really bright and sterile inside the room, but they lent us a candle so we could create some ambience.

Glorified overpriced camping experience”
Greeted by a large chalk 'No Refunds' sign at reception Overworked and slightly snippy owner(?), rest of the staff fantastic Doesn’t seem like any money from the hefty price tag is being reinvested - it’s VERY basic; table, bin, air con (no controls), (comfy) bed and a cold white light bulb Decor is dated and rudimentary - cheap synthetic blankets Huge metal reverberating roof on our bungalow and a family of bats that live in the roof space which are very noisy all night We were careful not to bring any food into the bungalow so didn't have any critters invading the bedroom Did get a SCORPION in the bathroom and rat/lizard poo in the bathroom too Large drainage hole from the shower leads directly outside, needs metal gauze over it for easy fix The bungalows are metres from the shoreline on the STUNNING beach Restaurant is a little overpriced, bbq on the beach was nice Two places 5 mins inland better value No cleaning of bungalow, towels or bedding at all during our 3 day stay

Paradise!”
Great traditional bungalows right on the beach in the shade of the jungle. The owners speak very good English and were exceptionally helpful and accommodating. Delicious food at the on-site cafe. Quiet and serene.

Great as a budget option. ”
Others will give you more luxury on the island but honestly, the view, the empty beach, the staff cannot be beaten!

Nice Location but need a motorbike to travel around”
It's a great beach with no one around, almost private. You can rent motorbikes at the lobby. I wouldn't recommend it to people with disabilities because you need to walk around 5 minutes up and down hill to get to the place.

nope...”
A place that shamelessly uses the term 'resort' but rather is a place for backpackers (nothing wrong with that). Plenty of potentials that is not used at all. Rented by a rather unfriendly lady. She does not invest in anything that would make the place more attractive. There is just 2 other staff working along the ungroomed unplastered land strip along the sandy bust mostly rocky beach. They cannot cope with the beach plastic and leaves and 'gardening' issues, even though they had an extra cleaning gang working for one day. No functional hammocks or swings on the sandy beach area, no cozy lights over the 'restaurant area', not anything that makes the place look more professional or taken care of. There is no wifi in the bungalows which are all painted in a 'delightful' purple color, the are no shelves mounted so everything piles up on the table, the water smells foul, the bathroom is a fungal paradise. Motorbike rent is a must to escape. Better value at Siam Beach.

Awful accommodation! Unpleasant owner! ”
This is the place you really want to miss on your holiday. The reviews are terrible but we didn't listen:) So we tried and it is seriously awful! Dirty rooms. Frogs, lizards, rats, spiders and more on your room every day. We stayed 5 nights and no one cleaned our room for the whole time. Not even garbage bins, let alone new toilet papers. Also, it was the only place in Thailand where people were very unpleasant. I wish we would stay somewhere else.

Robinson Crusoe Full Experience”
The owner was the sweetest ! But it's really far away from...everything ! And we do not ride bikes etc, If you want to be alone and relax, chill its perfect : beach is just right there, beautiful sunset, no one and restaurant is nice. We stayed one night and move to a more "crowdy" place - but recommended for the nice owner and the relaxing vibes

A quiet place”
It is remote but has a restaurant, there is a restaurant next door and a 10 minute walk away too. The owner is not pleasant and only grudgingly assists unless to take money. The one small bungalow is a decent value, the larger ones are pricy for what you get which unfortunately includes ants. The larger bungalow which has two queen beds and a single bed did not have a towel rack in the bathroom. I had some dried mango in two heavy plastic ziplock bags which were in a zipped nylon bag but a rat ate a bag hole into it. They should put some screening over openings to keep the critters out. The beach is okay, there are some smooth rocks but one can go past them to find swimming. Really great mango shakes,
