Home away from home”
Passook had everything we needed, and nothing we did not. Super helpful management and staff, a bed as good as ours at home and monkeys. (Monkeys can be a blessing and a curse). Easy access from Ao Nang by long tail and a short walk:) popular with climbers with outstanding crag access, Wild Kingdom climbing area adjoins passook. A 30 second walk! Fan works beautifully and the mosquito net in our room was near new. We have stayed in numerous other places in Tonsai/Railay, Passook is by far our favourite on a budget. Clean, well maintained with ultra close access to all that Tonsai has to offer:) Already planning Tonsai 2021 at Passook, an extended visit is on the cards. Thank you to the staff and management of Passook. Well done! Phet & Mark.

Cute quiet bungalow in the shade”
The Passook staff are so nice and the bungalow was sweet and homey. Nice to have lots of floor space and cool shower. The fan is all you need in Tonsai it cools off at night.

Excellent”
Perfect location for climbing in Tonsai. Close to legacy bar (good food, good prices), fair price for the room. Beds were very comfortable and mosquito nets well maintained. Bathroom was, let's say, basic. A fallen branch punched a hole in the roof of our bathroom and it was fixed asap. People were super friendly. Fully recommended for people who want to save money on accommodation.

Excellent”
Paasook was a lovely place to stay in Tonsai - steps from the walls, right up from the beach, and next door to fun bars. The owners were wonderful. We extended our stay 3 times and ended up staying 6 nights. I’d love to come back.

Great!”
Woody is one the shiniest person we met in our lives, the pinapple jam cookies and the snake powder made wonders and brought our love to a higher level! We wish he keeps appearing in our lives, in any kind of form. One love, Sophie and Tommy.

Good”
This place is, the only way it can be described, close to nature. Every morning we woke up with new neighbours, be it monkeys, monitor lizards, cockroaches or kittens. It had the basics any traveller needs and as long as you don’t mind sharing your room with some creepy crawlers it’s not that bad. The beds were clean and the mosquito nets kept the bugs out. Although there is no electricity between 6am-6pm it’s not that big of a deal. Tonsai is a chill place with a laid back vibe. My boyfriend and i thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Cheap! Good! ”
Very basic accomodation plus washroom. Clean mosquito net :) bed quite ok. Practical still even if missing bed tables. Our bungalow was coupled with an other (like most of them) and we had noisy early birds neighbours... It values the money!

Affordable, possibly too affordable”
This place was rough. My first attempt at a fan only room. A mosquito net was provided, thank god because one of the windows was permanently jammed open. I knew power is cut at certain resorts during the day which I have no problem with but this place cut it at 6am-6pm. I woke up at 7:15am with a wicked changover covered in sweat. Cold showers don't exist here so good luck cooling down! There are a lot of monkeys which are adorable but they are also jerks that will steal from you. My second night I awoke at 7:30am to a bunch of climbers playing horrible music loudly. That's when I knew it was time to leave paasoook forever. The price is ok here but when it comes down to it you can live A LOT more comfortably for another 100-200 baht/night. Would seriously not recommend.

Good for Tonsai”
Look, this place isn't swanky or anything, but for Tonsai it's fairly nice and a pretty good value. The biggest part of this is that you need to realize that standards on Tonsai are different than elsewhere. You have to have dirtbag climber/dirty hippy tendencies to enjoy Tonsai. If you don't you'll probably be unhappy with Tonsai in general, much less Paasook. Yes, there are going to be crawly bugs in your room. Yes, it's dark/dungeon-like in the bungalows. Yes the blankets are ehh. Yes the beds aren't the best. Yes the mosquito nets over the beds have some coin-sized holes. Yes the water is not drinkable. Yes there are quite a few mosquitos. Yes you shouldn't swim in the ocean because there is raw sewage going straight out into the bay. Yes the electricity only runs from 6pm till 6am. Yes the water is cold and the toilets have a propensity to clog. But, these things are all standard for Tonsai, and in fact the Paasook bungalows are better than the rest of the options for about $10usd per night. Basically, Paasook has two types of bungalows - blue wood bungalows and orange concrete bungalows. The blue ones are quite nice, the orange ones are passable. The blue ones are middle/upper range for lodging in Tonsai. The orange ones are fairly cheap (but not the cheapest). I would say that the orange bungalows are better than the other options at the same price. Andaman is a slightly better location and has a better common hangout area, but the bungalows there are much less nice. The other cheap bungalows are mostly further up the forest road. Pro tip - book a night in Paasook so you have somewhere to stay when you get there, then pay for a week at the weekly cash price, which is much better price per night. Also, if you want to avoid "Tonsai Tummy", then DO NOT swim in the ocean. You're swimming in raw sewage. The restaurants here are not typically the source of Tonsai Tummy.

simple but nice ”
Although we couldn't find any review or comments about the resort while looking for a place to stay in Ton Sai we decided to book a bungalow of the Paasook Resort. Finally we were pretty confident with this choice since we really liked our simple but nice little bungalow which had a comfortable bed with mosquito net, ventilator, a little bathroom and terasse with bank and table. Electricity was available from 6 pm to 6 am but wifi only worked in the common chill area at the entrance of the resort. There is also a little shop as well as a bookshelf. The staff is very friedly and helpful. We would definitely come back!

Cheap and somewhat cheerful!”
For what you get, it's well worth the money! A private double bed, private bathroom - spoilt! You are in the jungle so some bugs may wrangle there way in but that's all part of it. The staff were super friendly and everything was comfortable. Only slight issue for me (but considering what you pay it wasn't a big deal!) was having the power out from 6am-6pm the room I was in didn't have much in the way of any natural light so trying to get myself ready with the door open and a headlight was tricky! But still an enjoyable stay :)

You must be willing to fight insects all day”
We were charged 400 THB by Agoda, then we saw a couple checking in directly in the front desk for the same room as us, but for 150 THB. There's only electricity from 6pm to 6am (though that seems to be the same for all Ton Sai). The beach is fairly close and there are restaurants and minimarkets nearby. Fruits fall down from the trees everywhere, so you might get a strange smell, though it's only the rotten fruit on the ground. The staff is very kind and helpful.

Relaxing”
Very good option if you're looking for a nice place to relax in Tonsai, with a cheap price. Cold shower, electricity just for the night, wifi just around the recepcion, really in the middle of nature, which include monkeys and all kind of insects, but this is Tonsai. Rooms quite ok. Lovely people, staff and guests. Would recommend a relaxing area to take a nap/relax after lunch, for example. Probably will stay here again in my next time.

Double simple room with fan, private bathroom. Good value for money. Very simple, clean and with all the necessary features for a cheap but comfortable stay. Nice staff, needed to extend our stay with no problems. Thai restaurant and fruit shop next door with good quality food. Definitely recommend and would stay here again :)

Simple and rustic!”
The location is great! The room was simple but good. Be careful with the open door: monkeys come in and steal things - and lots of mosquitoes! The bathroom is rather rustic: cement floor, no drain (there was hole in the floor, but the bath water was accumulated) and no hot water.
