Gently hugging the waters of Tumon Bay, the seaside resort is just a short walk from Tumon’s countless shopping and dining experiences, and only a ten minute drive from both the Guam International Airport and our island’s capital, the beautiful village of Hågatña. Take in the ocean’s vastness from every room, and depending on which side of the hotel you’re staying in, the rooms offer an astonishing view of the sun either rising or setting over the tranquil waters of the Pacific. Surround yourself in a tropical ambiance with stunning sunset views and the cool ocean breeze while enjoying a relaxing day on the beach or by the pool. Sip on a refreshing cocktail at our poolside bar after exploring Guam’s waters with the snorkeling gear, kayaks, or stand-up paddle boards the are available free of charge at the Marine Center.
Embark on an adventure of flavor, as you taste different parts of the world each day at the Pacific Star Cafe. With its daily breakfast and lunch buffet, the Cafe offers a diverse collection of local and international dishes. The Manhattan Steakhouse provides an exceptional fine dining experience. The arsenal of “Prime” Certified Angus Beef® Steaks, mouthwatering entrees, and scrumptious desserts combined with the refined, yet rustic ambiance of the Manhattan Steakhouse is sure to make your meal a memorable one.
Indulge your senses at the Chandan Spa. The decor, atmosphere, and diverse menu of carefully crafted treatments are inspired from different regions of Southeast Asia. The word “Chandan” derives from the ancient Sanskrit name for Sandalwood. Sandalwood, just like the Spa, is known for its medicinal, spiritual, and calming effects on the mind and body. The Promesa Chapel is located on the beach side of the hotel. Situated with a symbolic view of the endless horizon and composed of a 360-degree glass enclosure, the chapel’s view is an ever changing painting of white and blue. The fitness center includes a weight and cardio room accessible to guests 24 hours a day. Whatever your purpose of visit, Pacific Star Resort & Spa is an excellent choice for your stay in Guam.

Good value for money ”
Hôtels in Guam are either low quality motel type establishments with little ameniites or high quality big name expensive places. There are few hotels which offer good value for money but this is one such. The hotel is old and not highly luxurious, but the rooms are large and everything woks well. For abour USD 100 per day, I have never found better value for money in Guam. The breakfast is copious with a very wide choice of food and drinks for about USD 20.

Worst than the last time I stayed”
Pros : Lots of friendly Filipino staff, good location cons : breakfast needs to be improved, needs to clean beach front, AC hot and needs to request 2 fans for the 2 rooms I booked. AC in hot and food choices on the lounge needs to be improved.
Hafa Adai! First of all, we would like to thank you for choosing Pacific Star again, and for taking the time to leave us a review. We sincerely apologize not meeting your expectations. We will follow up with Engineering with the AC issues mentioned. Your comments on the food offerings would be shared with our F & B Team. We appreciate your comments as it allow us to improve on both our products and services. Thank you once again!
Very accommodating ”
We end up checking into Pacific Star after checking in/out of Verona in two hours. Avoid the hassle and go straight to Pacific Star. They listened and they gave us a nice room. They followed up with a call to make sure we were comfortable. My wife and I had a very good relaxing time.
Hafa Adai David, Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us a feedback. We are very happy to hear that you and your wife had a good relaxing time. Our Guam Getaway”
We enjoyed our stay in the hotel because of the warm welcome of the staff. They were also very accommodating in answering my queries. The hotel is also near some shops and restaurants. The commute was also convenient. It is still better to rent a car to be able to be more mobile and fast.
Center of Tumon Beach”
Quiet and cozy hotel. All staff were very nice. Rooms are big enough, and the view from the room is fantastic. I liked the body cleanser stuff which are the famous spa brand(Thann - Thai spa brand) products. There were many US soldiers in the hotel, I guess they were taking holiday too. The beach was beautiful. Of course, more expensive hotels like Fiesta and Hyatt have better and wider beach, but I loved the beach here. You can enjoy kayaking and snorkelling anytime, and you can see so many fish everywhere. Just one thing to remember. There're not many choices of food around here. Personally, I recommend Jamaican restaurant just across the street. :)
In need of renovation”
I can tell the hotel used to be great but it is now dilapidated and it needs renovation. You can see paint coming off and rust showing in the shower head. The worst is the carpet that is sticky when you are barefoot. The good thing about the hotel Is that it has good location and the staff are great and helpful. I hope they renovate soon.
Dear Lilliane, Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us a feedback. We apologize for not meeting your expectation with the condition of the room. We will take your comment into consideration and we work out methods for improvement. We are happy to hear that our staffs are great and helpful. With your help, we will continue to improve on our service and products. Best Regards, Jessica Chan Sales Manager
Worn out hotel”
A/C barely works. Bathrooms look 1970’s. Older woman working front desk is always unfriendly. Broken, worn out, closed facilities everywhere. Scary dropping elevator. Etc etc
Dear John, Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us a review. We sincerely apologize for not meeting your expectations with our facilities and services. We will share your inputs with our Management Team. We value your comments as it allow us to improve on both our products and services.

Worn out and broken down”
Worn out and broken down describe this hotel from the non-working A/C, the dead landscaping, the drained hot tub, the closed kiddie pool. Sad, sad, sad!!!!
Dear John, We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience during your stay. We will check with Engineering in regards to the air conditioning issues as we weren't given any report on the matter. We are currently working on reinstating many of the public facilities. We appreciate your feedback as it allows us to improve on our products and services.
Just in front of beach”
Good place to access beach and enjoy sea activities such as snorkeling and kayaking. The room was old a little bit but the view was great. It was very affordable.

Hotel needs refurbishing ”
The hotel is old and needs refurbishing, I was told by the staff that it was the former Marriot Hotel in Guam. Air con needs to be check in room 2017. When we checked in I already complained about the airconditioning in my daughters room and was told that they will check it. But until we checked out nothing was done to solve the problem. We were only given 2 bottles of drinking water for our entire stay of 5 nights. When I requested I was told that it is hotel policy to give only 2 bottles upon check in no matter how long you stay there. They were selling water for a dollar per bottle if you want it replenish. The hotel is over rated for a 4 star hotel compared to other 4 star hotels I have checked in. I hope they will change there policy on this.
Not what it use to be. ”
The room is need to be upgraded. Bathroom moldy. The halls smell like mildew and wall paper looks to be water damaged. Pool needs cleaning and surface repair. The location is great, the staff is amazing. But the rooms and hotel itself really needs to be renovated to continue to ask for the rates they charge.
I loved my stay at the Pacific Star Resort and Spa. It had everything we NEEDED, a friendly staff that was very helpful, laundromat, fitness center, etc. It was pretty clean and in a convenient location. My only complaint was that there was no coffee bar. There was just black coffee and an espresso machine. I was really hoping for a flavored latte before going out in the mornings. We were there during a typhoon and the hotel did a great job of making sure everyone stayed safe and indoors.
It Was Okay, For the Price that We Paid”
It was just okay. I was annoyed that the Tumon Shuttle - the red shuttle bus - no longer stops at the hotel and we would have to go to the neighbouring PIC in order to ride on the bus or get off across PIC which is a bit of a walk back to the hotel.
It was a relaxing and enjoyable stay.”
We enjoyed our stay . The hotel was very close to the airport and to the beach. The staff was very friendly and accomodating, often going out of their way to assist us. We booked an Executive room which had free access to the executive lounge, and this was worth the additional cost.
Clean, basic, hotel in a beautiful location”
The Marriott was clean and comfortable, but nothing particularly special. It was close to the beach, but not particularly close to the shopping and restaurants in the main strip in Guam. The staff was very helpful and nice, but check in took a surprisingly long time.
i was quite worried about the condition of the rooms after reading other reviews on how dirty the room is. But i think i got a renovated room. it was all clean and nicely arranged. toilet was clean and i had a nice ocean view. would def stay there again
Relaxing beach holiday ”
We had a good time at the hotel, there's a lot to do and the pool was not very crowded. They also have a nice gym and its quite convenient to get to central tumon bay area. if you venture out of the hotel, there's several good restaurants within walking distance.
A satisfactory 3 night stay for the family!”
It's right on Pale San Vitores Road which is Guam's main strip where there are a lot of restaurants and other hotels. It's very near attractions like Underwater World and Guam Zoo. It's also close to shopping places like DFS Galleria, Kmart, and JP Superstore. It's a 10-minute drive to the airport. Minor problems we encountered include delayed check-in for the second room and a room safe which wasn't working. Staff are generally helpful and friendly. Rooms are kind of old but clean and decent. We got the Deluxe Ocean View Room that's supposedly for 2 people but we had 2 kids below 12 with us and it was okay.
