A Hidden Gem”
We booked late in peak season so had to stay somewhere a little out of Byron (maybe 3kms to the South). What a blessing! The Byron was an unexpected delight. Byron is a zoo at peak season so we enjoyed the peace and quiet and the spacious rainforest setting was glorious. So was Tallow's Beach and a nice short drive to Bangalow which is a wonderful funky upmarket hippy town. The place is small and has a boutique feel to it - not like a large resort corporate juggernaut. Service was universally outstanding and we stayed 5 days so you really get a lot of "moments of truth" in that period. The food was excellent and really healthy - pricey but fair given the quality. The room was great - enough room and beautiful rainforest setting. We've stayed at many fine resorts/hotels around the world (including far too many Four Seasons) and I wasn't expecting this to be one of them - it really was and we look forward to going back again.

Best resort I stayed at!”
We stayed here for 5 nights and loved the rainforest setting. The beautiful surroundings enabled us to relax and enjoy the serenity of Byron bay. The facilities were amazing. The staff were great and very responsive especially when by the pool. Loved everyone here especially the complimentary yoga - can't recommend highly enough. Close to the beach as well and a 30 minute walk to town (or an hour if strolling long he beach). My only feedback is that the photos on the website don't do this justice! Suggest revamping these to show how beautiful this resort is!!!!

Relaxing resort style accommodation”
We stayed at Byron on Byron during the low season at the end of May and had a very relaxing holiday because it was very quiet and the weather was mild and sunny. The staff were attentive and offered us special deals on breakfast because there were very few guests. I would think it would be very busy and loud during the peak season. The only down side was the distance from town but there is a shuttle car into town and after going into Byron a couples of times, we were happy to relax by the pool at the resort and go for walks on the beach. The walk into town takes about 45 minutes.

10/10 Customer Service”
We recently stayed at the Byron at Byron and have to say it was one of the best customer service experiences we have had in Australia in a very long time. Staff member Xavi from the point of check-in really set the standard with fantastic service and the rest of the staff for the entire stay were so helpful. Would recommend this resort on customer service alone, but the rooms and facilities are also amazing. 10/10 would recommend for a relaxing and stress free break!

Great hotel, beautiful setting. ”
Loved our stay at Byron at Byron, beautiful hotel, friendly staff. Clean and peaceful. The only thing I could fault was the dining options. The room service menu was quite limited and the poolside dining was extremely expensive for what it was. Some cheaper options should be available for guests that dont want to have to leave the hotel for lunch. Sandwiches were close to $30 and $40 for a burger. Also maybe some music by the pool more often would be nice.

Gorgeous hotel and amenities ”
The Byron was everything I hoped out of a luxe stay. Though it was a bit far from the town of byron bay (we’d uber to town, as the bike rental was quite expensive), it was an oasis: gorgeous pool, peaceful setting, cool rainforest walk, and, with a bit of a walk, access to a beautiful quiet beach. The staff was extremely helpful, especially at reception and during afternoon or evening cocktail service by the pool or on the veranda. The rooms were beautiful and well appointed, with decent kitchen facilities and an extra large bathroom. One word of caution: the separation between bedroom and living area is made by sliding partitions, which wouldn’t block any sound if needed (such as if a family was staying in one suite).

Peaceful location ”
Did a lot of scenic drives into the mountains. Fab views. Byron bay itself is very young surfy town. Lots of traffic. The resort was away from all of that. Staff very friendly. Lovely pool. Peaceful walking.

Very well placed Resort. Close to Byron but a bit away from the “action”. We enjoyed our stay very much, my only complaint- I would have liked a bedside lamp for reading. A very stylish one to fit with the rest. Def a worthwhile place to visit

Exceptional”
Great little spot - Wildlife - Echidna and Wallabies in the Rainforest. Stroll to the beach and great surf break. Suffolk Park bakery world class - especially the Danish! Nearly had given up on Byron until we found this place.

Best resort stay i have had in a long time”
My husband and I wanted a long weekend away to relax and this was the perfect escape for us. It was pricey to stay there but we made the most of our time their using all the facilities and only went into Byron on one of the days on the shuttle service which was also very handy as we didn't come with a car. Great for couples getaway.

Romantic Break”

Lovely resort - perfect for a couples getaway”
the byron at byron is the only resort type accomodation we could find in byron and it is fantastic. if you like being served cocktails by the pool, yoga in the morning and an easy walk to the beach this is for you. the rooms are spacious and ours had a great spa bath and fantastic shower. waking up to the birds in the rainforest is spectacular.

A bit disappointing & misleading ”
My partner and I were surprised when we arrived, the resort is built in a jungle. The rooms are fly screened in for protection as there is lots of wild life including many snakes. The resort is really big and took about 20 minutes to walk to the beach from our room - we stayed in the bungalow wing. We were too scared to walk on the boardwalks through the bush as we saw a brown snake. The pool is nice but quite small considering the size of the resort. You can't stay here unless you have a car as its 5-10 minute drive from Byron itself- thankfully we had one. On a positive note, the rooms were stunning and comfortable, had everything you could need. We felt it was too expensive for what it was.

An amazing weekend”
My wife and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at the resort. The faclities were amazing and the staff exceptional. We dined at the restauarant on Friday evening and the food was first class, topped by an anniversay desert ( specially made) on the house as a specail suprise to us. We had a perfect weeknd at the resort and already looking forward to our next stay at the resort - will certainly be back !!! Brian and Lynn Schech
