Excellent”

We enjoyed our stay in Cairns in Il Palazzo apartments. Everything was clean, staff very helpful and central location. Lots to do and see nearby. Our only criticism would be our bedroom was looking on to the front where as we discovered there were lots of bats. Ask to have a rear apartment unless you want to be driven “Batty”.

Great 2018 start”

Il Palazzo Boutique is great access to Cairns city, beaches etc, Comfortable. Services, friendliness, access is great. Worth the money spent. If had more time, preferred to use the facilities more. Concern only the key for room, main entrance for premises was a concern. Security box, did not know how to use it. So, did not use it this time. Everything else was good, recommend this to others, If I can grab the same bargain like this time, I would book again.

Neat and tidy apartment”

We knew the hotel location before travelling , so were pleased to be able to stay there . Apartment is quite small but adequate , ideally situated for shopping , eating , walks . We were driving so the parking was a bonus - would be a problem without it . Because of the position , you don't really need a car - close to large supermarket if you want to cook , next to Night Markets for quick easy eats , close to other more upmarket eateries , right in middle of action , only one street back from Esplanade , close to bus terminal . Was surprisingly quiet . Room is air conditioned , but no ceiling fan , but a fan is a much better feature at that time (August) in Cairns

Spacious lounge area for me to do some yoga on. Lovely long bath to fit tall people. Bed was pretty comfy. Cute kitchen that has 2 hot plates and no oven, but fridge/freezer was a good size. Staff were so helpful and friendly. Location was awesome as we were able to walk everywhere, including ferry terminal, night markets, lagoon, casino, Aquarium and even Cairns Central shopping centre. Would definitely stay again.

We tried to fault it. Location close to the night markets. No road noise. Very very clean. Heated pool. People in office very friendly. Only fault was we had no TV in the bedroom but really....its not needed. The pool was not very deep, it didn't have a deep end but again it was very very warm (heated) The bed was not hard and not old. Great. If we went to cairns every year we would stay again for sure. 9.9

Good Hotel in a Great Location”

the hotel is all one bedroom units with a maximum of three adults per room. this meant the hotel was quiet as it was not full of families with young children. the hotel is located right in the heart of cairns and only a short walk to the esplanade. the hotel does not have dining or food facilities but is close to a supermarket and good restaurants. the hotel has on site parking which is secured in the evening.

All the amenities I need in a central location”

Booked a one bedroom apartment for 2 nights. I had a very comfortable stay - used the well equipped kitchenette for breakfast, the washing machine & dryer once & sat in the comfortable lounge watching tv while having a constant glance of the city view from the balcony. Bed was comfortable, shower was great. Centrally located - beside the night market entrance at Abbot St & 6 minutes walk to the casino, walking distance to Woolworths and party scene, Lake Street. Overall comfort & space. Highly recommended.

Great location. ”

We had a one night stay. In a 1 bedroom apartment. Staff were very nice, and we were shown to our room. Very clean and spacious. The only concern I had was that the air conditioning was not very economic. There needed to be a ceiling fan in the bedroom. Bathroom needed updating and if you were over 183cm tall you would not fit under the shower head and you would touch the ceiling in the shower (in the bath) if you were over 186cm tall. Otherwise great stay.

It's my 1st time to write a bad review. We, a young family, booked IL Palazzo for 4 nights due to its good reviews. We never knew that it could be such a bad experience. No one was at the counter when we first arrived. 20 minutes later, someone finally appeared. After we checked in, we found the Wi-Fi was very weak...it took 10s to open YouTube! No toothbrushes. A baby cot is $5 per night while most hotels offer it for free...But we are OK with all that. The most unacceptable thing only happened after we've checked out. I found a 150AUD deduction from my credit card by the hotel. I was stunned - I knew I paid everything through Agoda. We called the hotel and were told our room was not clean. But before that...we weren't notified at all! Can a hotel just take your money without letting you know?! A step back, we have cleaned all utensils with a cleansing liquid at our own cost! We are very disappointed by the way the hotel treats its guests. Unprofessional. Unacceptable. Impolite.

Exceptional”

Fully equipped small apartment very comfortable in the centre of town. An italian themed structure complete with a large oblong bathing pool. Close to shops, stores, eateries, museums Perfect for relaxing

Very good choice”

Great space, with tiny but real working kitchen. The apartments facing the street are noisy during the day and early evening but have the advantage of a ringside seat for the evening circus of bats and birds.

Helpful staff”

Really enjoyed our stay. Good location amazing huge bats out the front of the hotel at dusk. Had a fab Vietnamese meal just outside the hotel to the left. Great location for night market. Reception staff really helpful book our train tour ticket (no additional cost) and full of great advice. Underground car park fab facility. Had a pool too which we never used but looked lovely. Coles supermarket 10 minute walk away (cross over rd and left from hotel). Would return great hotel and staff. Thanks for a great stay.

Friendly and so clean”

The staff were friendly and very helpful. The apartment was very clean. The bathroom, in particular, was spotless. The kitchen facilities could do with an upgrade, not sure if the exhaust fan was blowing or extracting the cooking steam. The location is really good, just a few doors from the night market and an easy walk for groceries or great eateries.
