Best Reception Service”

We have a great stay at Tropical Heritage Cairns. Rosemary and colleague were exceptionally helpful in assisting us in our tour bookings; giving very useful tips and advise. She gave us a petrol discount voucher when we asked her for direction to petrol station. Hotel is a short drive from the Esplanade and shopping malls. Small but lovely hotel with very clean rooms and comfortable beds. The room has a basic kitchen with microwave, though a stove could be useful. We used the free BBQ facilities and have a great BBQ dinner. Will stay in the hotel again.

Good, well priced accommodation with great service”

Booked a 5 night stay with Tropical Heritage for a business trip to Cairns, chose the hotel for it's convenient location to the city and the facilities I was needing. Great price, well kept and within walking distance to a range of activities and facilities. Staff were super friendly and helpful, and even rang me when I was running a bit late for check in to see if everything was goin OK. Washing facilities available and rooms serviced daily. Would highly recommend.

Great week in Cairns”

We really enjoyed our time at Tropical heritage Cairns. The hotel staff were brilliant and went out of their way to help. We checked in at 10am in the morning after an early flight and we were offered our room 4 hours early. The rooms were interconnecting for the 2 couples and the facilities were clean and everything worked. The staff all care about guests and made our stay a great one. Highly recommend the hotel.

Excellent spot to base yourself in Cairns”

It's true what everyone else has to say about Rosemary--she's an absolute delight. Friendly, knowledgeable, and always present. Oh, and patient, which is good, because somehow the combination of my Macintosh computer, my company's timecard system, and Heritage Cairns wireless service just did not like to work together. She was great about fixing me up with replacement internet access and service, at the most reasonable rates we got in Australia (well, besides the one free place, which had to be used in the lobby in Gold Coast). She set us up with towels for our diving, loaner umbrellas to meet the unseasonable very heavy rain, and plenty of advice. Heritage Cairns is just a few steps off the main thoroughfare, but it's worth the extra block of walking.

great value in the heart of the city”

Stayed here twice on the way to Thursday Island and on way back - compared our stay with friends who stayed elsewhere; we by far got the best value and had the better room and friendly staff. Cairns is very competitive for accommodation as there are far more rooms available then needed so its good to find a place like Tropical Heritage with their high standard.

Comfortable, small motel with clean rooms ”

we stayed at the heritage cairns resort for 2 nights and were delighted with the location, the service and the comfortable bed. rosemary went out of her way to make us feel welcome and to help us plan our short time in cairns. we would recommend this hotel to people who appreciate good service and a personal touch.

Efficient service and perfect location”

we had a very nice stay here. the location is central, easy walking distance to the main attractions in cairns. we wanted to take a day-trip out of cairns and they gave us a better price than the one we saw in a tourist brochure. they took care of the reservation themselves. friendly and efficient service. the room was nice. we missed a bread toaster in our room for our daily breakfast (the only -very minor- drawback of our stay).

Excellent choice of hotel”

Stayed in 1 bedroom apartment. Very comfortable, clean, small kitchenette. Couple minutes to the promenade and further 10 to centre Cairns. Rosemary booked all our trips for us and could not have been more helpful. Would highly recommend the Heritage motel.

Good value for money good location ”

This motel is located only two blocks to the esplanade and a 10 minute walk to the night markets. The staff are friendly and I would always have a chat when walking in and out and whilst the rooms are basic they are clean and the beds and pillows are comfortable. The pool is more of a plunge pool but there are some sun lounges to lay on too. Breakfast is available from about 7-9 am . I changed rooms midway during my stay due to noisey people next door but again this was not an issue with the staff. I checked out early in the morning for a 6.45am flight. Flight ended up being cancelled and there were no issues with me coming back and letting me have the room again. If coming to Cairns again I would stay here.

Exceptional”

Staff were really nice and friendly, and the hotel is conveniently located, easy to access and a short walk from Cairns centre and restaurants. Rooms are basic but comfortable and clean. Unfortunately I got trapped in the bathroom of my room (door handle was broken), but after I was freed I was moved to a suite in compensation. Only gripe is that the shower head was at a fixed height, just level with my shoulder!

Very nice ”

We had the suite with kitchenette. Suited our needs and was a nice surprise. We stayed at a much more expensive hotel later in the week and the lobby was nicer but the room and bed was smaller. Value wise the Tropical Heritage was a better deal.

Great place to stay, good value”

This is our 2nd time staying here in Cairns. Great price for being close to town, sea and easy free parking. Wifi was fast, room and ensuite large & clean, lovely staff. They have 3 floors and have a lift. Recommend Muddy's Cafe for breakfast & lunch, only cafe right by the sea. RSL also good for dinner.

Great stay at great price ”

Quick 4 night stay while in Cairns for work and I got my room for about half of what other hotels were charging for similar standard's. Great little hotel with nice staff. Obviously a small independent hotel but everything you would expect from a 4 star hotel. Would stay again and highly recommend in future

Good value, location, well run with friendly staff”

Needed to stay somewhere as a base for diving. This was perfect. Good value, quite near the centre and the seafront. Also I always prefer a locally managed well run hotel over a big chain as friendly knowledgeable staff who care add a couple of stars to the official rating and really help make your stay. Rosemary, the proprietor, didn't disappoint and if I come back to Cairns I would stay again.

Great location and price”

I live on the Tablelands not far from Cairns and booked this hotel for the first time to get somewhere just for the might as my friend was flying in from Melbourne and needed somewhere to stay for one night. It was extremely comfortable and we wired upgraded as well so totally stoked. Great staff and lovely place. I’ll definitelg stay here again;)

Lovely hotel and service”

Clean and quiet room,we loved it at the first sight. Dear Rosemary,the manager of this hotel,was such a nice woman who gave us much help ,thank you very much! I 'm sure I 'll choose this hotel again if I have the second chance to spend holiday in Cairns .

Budget hotel in Cairns”

Pros : Reasonable tariff for city hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. 5-10 min walk to the Cairns Esplanade Lagoon. Breakfast at an additional surcharge (did not try it). Cons: Pool area very small and garden area seemed a little neglected.

Excellent all-round!”

We had a lovely three days here whilst exploring Cairns and the surrounds. The hotel is well placed to walk to the Esplanade and the shops and restaurants. The staff were very friendly and helped us with booking trips etc. The internet was also free and this made things much easier for us.

Friendly and top quality ”

We had to stay in Cairns unexpectedly over a period of a week. This hotel was by a long shot the best we had stayed in and we only wish we had discovered it earlier in the week. Staff were exceptional and hotel very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended. Janine and Paul

Great location short work to CBD. Short walk to the Cairns Private and General Hospital, great place to stay if you are in Cairns for medical.
