Good location and big space”
The room was clean and a good size. Unfortunately, the people in the room next door were chain smokers and a lot of the smell came into the room. The pool and spa were out of order which we were not informed about. The room was a good size but for the extra few $$ I would book the more luxury room. Also given the surrounding bushland, it would be good if the complex was completely non-smoking.

suggestion”
We found it hard to find. Our GPS would not accept the even number for this address, on the gate was ESCAPE RESORT PORT STEPHENS. In heavy rain we bypassed it and it was only when parking under the lights out front to ring the emergency number that we saw the small writing for the website Portstephenstreescapes. We were also looking for a hotel as our paperwork from Agoda said Port Stephens Hotel. loved the place though.

Ok not great”
They didnt leave any information in the motel room what there is to see and do (not even a pen).... you can hear the next door neighbour very clearly they were banging around in there a bit and trying to close the door several times.....the sofa bed was very springy and noisy. It was a 12 minute drive just to get fish n chips, no restaurant nearby that I knew of....

Perfect getaway from Sydney ”
It was a short getaway for my fiance’s Birthday. The location was amazing, it was only 10 min walk from the beautiful samurai beach and we also got upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite! Thank you for that! I can’t wait to stay there again when I visit port Stephens!

a nice & quiet get away”
Arrived in the evening at Treescape (after their reception hour), they already left the key at the box after I told them that I would arrive late. There was no problem to get the key and to my villa. Everything went smoothly. It locates 10 mins away from Salamander Centre (main shopping area), bring along some food with you if you are arriving late. Coz shops close early. Spacious room and it is quiet in the wood. A lovely get away from the city.

Fantastic location within a bush setting”
A one bedroom apartment was booked for 4 nights. It certainly met all expectations. The room was fully self contained. Perfect to prepare light meals for a family. There was a decent sized kitchenette, full sized fridge with freezer, pots and pans, cooking utensils, cutlery, plates, cups, toaster, kettle, microwave and dish washing sponges/detergents. The room was exactly as shown on the photos and clean. The location was perfect, no more than a 15 minute drive to local attractions, Nelson Bay, Fingal bay, Sunset beach, Tomaree National Park, Sand dunes and camel rides and Biribi beach. The accomodation itself is away from campers and campervans. Close proximity to BBQ facilities and pool. Accomodation backs onto Samurai beach, which is a clothing optional beach, but take note on how you got there as you may end up on a 4WD track, just like we did. The walk to the beach is shared with 4WD vehicles so care needs to be taken especially with small children. We will definitely be back.

Ok hotel in the middle of the woods”
Ok hotel, clean and isolated, but if you are looking to stay near restaurants and town, this is not the place for you. My little girls were a bit scared staying in the hotel as it is in the middle of the reservoir, so lots of bugs, noises from the animals at night and very dark.

so close to nature ...”
Because of traffic conditions, I arrived almost late. As they couldn't contact me on the phone, they actually took the trouble to email me how to get my key to the room. The room is spacious and the bathroom is adequate. There is also walking access to Samurai beach, but do note that the path is shared with vehicles. The walk to the beach can be difficult because of the soft sand, but it is well worth waking up early and catching the sunrise. I wanted to watch the stars at night but I had a fever and had to give it a miss ;( Next time, I'll stay longer. I'll be back!

We got upgraded to a bigger room and hunter valley gardens is within a few min drive away. Cessnock is the closest town if you need groceries (that's abt 10mins drive). The roads are not well lit at night so on your high beams! But there isn't many cars on the road so driving is very safe even at night.
