Paradise in Bali that has it all!”
when we booked our anniversary trip to bali, we were just looking for a hotel that's decent enough to offer a clean room, one that's near the beach and that offers a modest breakfast buffet. padma was the hotel that we chose because of its proximity and accessibility to the beach (since me and my husband are both beach bums!). lo and behold, what we saw in the internet site of padma was more than what we paid for! it is hands down, among the best resorts in bali! padma resort at legian made our anniversary extra special! the view from our room balcony, the amenities inside our room, the accessibility to the beach, the beautiful koi ponds, gardens, statues and the 2 pools, the buffet menu that made us stay for almost 2 hours, the departure lounge.... i can say a thousand words about how amazed and how we enjoyed our bali trip because of this resort! you can even spend a whole day inside the resort because it is already an oasis by itself! we highly recommend this resort for those who want to spend a memorable vacation in bali!
Padma never fails to impress”
This was our fourth time at the Bali Padma and it just keeps getting better & better. Fantastic location right on the beach in Legian, it is a lovely oasis amongst the hustle & bustle of Bali streets. The breakfast was amazing with so much to choose from which never got repetitive.. Lovely fresh juices , coffee & tea made to order & nothing was too much trouble. Two pools that were great .. Lots of room & very relaxing. The family rooms and kids pool area are almost finished which should hopefully make the main pool a bit quieter as the kids will have a great place to keep them entertained. The new Skybar overlooking the ocean is currently being built .. Can't wait to go back & try it out! We had a Deluxe Chalet on the ground floor .. Great room but can get some noise from people upstairs at times .. Not a big issue for us but it could be if you like peace & quiet. Staff are so friendly & accommodating .. Nothing is too much trouble! The departure lounge & shower rooms are a big plus also.. They seem to have thought of everything ... Love it! Bali Padma is our favourite resort & we are really looking forward to coming back & enjoying the ongoing improvements of this already great resort!
If it is your first time to bali or you just love to feel everything is at your fingertips, then Padma Bali in Legian is the Resort for you. The Garden Chalet is worth the extra money with its inclusions of breakfast the best in Bali by far, the complimentry food and drinks and just that extra special things you get with the Chalet Club. It has a great swim up bar, fantastic and attentive staff the food is priced so you can eat in every meal if you want! with out breaking the bank and so are the drinks. We have looked around stayed in other resorts but nothing compares to the Padma. I can see why it rated number 1 on the trip advisor site...
Location excellent, Newly renovated! My favorite!”
i've been coming to the bali padma since 1998. it's one of the best hotels along legian beach. they've kept up with renovations all these years, so it's always refreshing to stay there. it's a 5 star place. the ambiance is unbelievable and you feel like you're in paradise every time you step outside your room. the grounds are kept in top condition. the owner of the hotel is an avid art collector and he has outstanding pieces of art hanging throughout the complex, as well as many sculptures. there is a road that separates the hotel from the beach , but it is generally closed to vehicles and only used in emergencies. the beach is not the cleanest and there are lots of hawkers trying to sell their wares. but it has it's charm and it's entertaining. if you want to get away, you can simply walk north up along the beach towards seminyak area . you'll come across some cool places on the beach where you can sit on bean bags on the beach and have a nice drink and listen to music. some of the best restaurants are up this way. ku de ta is one of the best! ( expensive) and for something different, check out the new potato head restaurant. both of these require reservations in advance. and take a taxi out (not one of the cars standing by as they are double the price) high end shopping is in the seminyak area and requires at least a day to walk around to all the shops. mass produced items are south of legian towards kuta area. night club action with live bands is in the kuta area. it runs for about 4miles or 7km. it's crazy and wild . lots of live music. some places include: bounty ship, paddy's pub, m-bar-go, sky garden. get around with taxis that have a meter. if renting a motor cycle, beware of all the tourists who are feeling no pain!
Peace and Perfection in Paradise.”
I have just returned from a 12 day stay at the Padma Resort and have to say that my stay there was the highlight of my visit to Bali. I had a deluxe room on the top floor with a view looking out over the gardens and tree tops. Each morning I was woken with birdsong. The room was surprisingly quiet and I was never aware of neighbouring guests. The bed was huge and the quality of the mattress, bed linen superb. The bathroom was spacious and offered two different showers and an immense bath. I have travelled through many parts of the world and never, ever have I come across a breakfast "banquet" like that offered at the Padma. The spread was so sumptuous and varied that I found it really difficult having to hold back! Whilst the hotel facilities and the immaculate grounds are world class, the stand out difference is the service offered throughout the hotel. Nothing is too much trouble and service is always graciously offered. From the most attentive Front Office Manager, Sr Dewar, to Satria who serviced my room everyday, the staff were, without exception excellent. In all of my time in Bali I did not see another place at which I would have rather stayed. I am already making plans to go back!
My husband & I found the Bali Padma to be a fantastic hotel and we thoroughly enjoyed spending our honeymoon there. The staff were always happy, smiling and couldnt do enough to assist. The room was spotless and quite large with big bathroom. Balcony was great to sit on and enjoy the morning sun. The room even had a dvd player which, if we'd had the time, would have been handy to watch one of the many dvds we'd purchased. The swimming pool was the perfect temperature and although the hotel was busy we were always able to get a pool lounge. The Sunset Bar on the oceanfront was a great place to enjoy happy hour cocktails, listen to live music, watch passers by and ofcourse the sun setting behind the palm trees was a sight to behold. We also ate there a few times and the food was great. The breakfast buffet was magnificent with anything you could imagine. And the location overall was the best part. A walk along the oceanfront boulevard towards Seminyak took us to some terrific restaurants without the hassle of traffic or the nasty fumes. And then on our front doorstep were plenty of street stalls & shops selling what you'd normally get in Kuta but without as much hassle. Lots of different restaurants serving fantastic food from all different countries. We enjoyed Balinese, Chinese, Mexican, Japanese & Australian. Although we didnt get the chance to enjoy the hotel's Spa facilities, we did find a great massage place over the road called Widia Lindas---ask for Jessie and say Aleisha sent you! We arranged transport through the hotel to take us to Ubud & Kintamani and it was a very reasonable price. Overall we would definantly recommend this hotel, even for those with young children, and look forward to staying at the Padma again. Our friends have already booked their trip for December on our recommendation. Agoda delivers great hotel prices :)
Perfect hotel to stay at bali”
This is my short trip to Bali, just extend my spare time while serve our client project at Denpasar, stay at Aston a night then get a rest and relax at padma resort just for a night. The most thing I like is bela rosa Italian rest. As my daughter have been live at Italy, she is very delighted to have dinner at Bella rosa rest and sit at the seaside table which have very beautiful view of kuta beach. She also find the menu the she have searching for a year since back from regio Calabria to eat Italian piza with various kind of chees. It was very very delicious. And also my daughter find some jewellery at the art shop at the hotel, she said that she desperately want it to buy at a shop in Rome but it was too expensive there, so she buy some in a reasonable price. For me as a man who already getting old, I like the hotel room which very good a healthy pillow. Sorry I forget to notice that because the room we book not yet ready when we arrive, so they upgrade me with other room not at deluxe I have book. And I sleep very well. Thank for all the good service and all the facilities . I can not share more because I just stay a night but everything there is perfect, the room, the food, the acces, the service .
Well Run Resort”
This is the first time I have stayed at the newly renovated Padma. It is not as luxurious as other alternatives but clearly merits five stars. The best thing about the resort is its staff. They are experienced, efficient and intelligent. The hotel has also implemented common sense policies, like charging Rp. 300,000 flat rate for a bag of laundry rather than trying to gip guests by charging huge sums for individual items. Similarly, room service and restaurant meals are fairly priced and reflect healthy competition with nearby restaurant alternatives. Many other resorts in Bali attempt to "hunt in the zoo" by overcharging guests. This leaves a bad impression, and reinforces the belief of many travelers that the hotel industry in Bali is short sighted and opportunistic - even unethical. I definitely will return to this resort.
Beautiful resort, great for families or couples”
We stayed at the Padma for our last 3 nights in Bali based on reviews & were not dissapointed. We arrived 3 hours prior to check in, they held our luggage & we left to check out the shops & beach. We also recieved cold towell & a refreshing drink. Upon arriving in our room, the airconditiong was on so the room was nice & cool. The room was small & a bit tired, especially the bathroom but was still lovely with touches of balinese style. The beach is a short walk past one of the pools & across a road, there were a few persistent sellers on the beach but you just smile & say no thanks. However i didn't feel comfortable to be on the beach by myself while my husband surfed so i stayed at the pools which was divine, lots of sunbeds available as we stayed in the quiet season. (aug) If you want to order a drink or food you just put the flag up beside your lounger & they come & take your order. The gardens throughout the resort were beautiful, loved strolling through every day. They offer a great menu covering "western food", i had the australian roast lamb on our last night, it was the best lamb i had ever tasted! Lunch at the cafe was nice, loved the smoothies!! Close to shops, beauty spas, restaurants etc & an ATM on street first left out of enterance. We enjoyed our stay at the Padma & will defiantely return again with the kids!
Perfect resort and fantastic service!”
our partner and i just returned from bali and stayed at the padma for 3 nights. the resort was exactly what we were after and more. both of the pools were amazing and definitely the highlight. the padma is located just a short walk to the beach which was also a plus. the gardens and artwork are absolutely beautiful and very well maintained. the bed and pillows were so soft and comfortable and ensured we slept soundly for the 3 nights we were there. the bathroom was roomy and tastefully decorated. the service at the padma was outstanding and everyone was so friendly and helpful. the only suggestion i have is in relation to the breakfast buffet. certain platters containing food that should be covered were uncovered. food such as cut up fruit, small goods and cheeses should all be covered with a lid or mesh to protect them from the heata and flies. they should also be placed on ice. such a minor thing really and certainly does not hamper our intention to return. we highly recommend this resort to other travellers.
Pleasant stays in Bali which won't bore you”
When come to early morning breakfast, I tend to skip it when I stayed at hotel, but not this one. At Padma, breakfast is superb. They got all types of food from banana bread, half boiled eggs, to Balinese type of breakfast. You'll found lots of families with young children as well as groups, another thing I like, this hotel isn't one of those super serene (which then can bore you out) in Bali. Located in the heart of shopping areas and great beach (Legian nearby Seminyak). The rooms are super clean, and they even offer a choice of pillow you'll need I.e. neck treat pillow etc for free. I think with extend services and great facilities Padma at the end of the day will make you smile as I did.
You can't go wrong at the Padma!”
I just love the Padma Resort. Everything for it's perfect location in Legian on the edge of Kuta, this gated resort is quite and has a perfect location right on the beach. The staff are very friendly and most helpful and the rooms are of a good size and clean. The food is excellent in any of the three restaurants on site, but there are many great places near buy. The grounds, gardens and pools are exceptional and well maintained. I can only speak highly of the Padma Resort. Try it, you won't be disappointed.
Honey i’m Home”
Nothing compares to Padma for me. No matter where I stay in Bali I never completely feel as relaxed, safe and secure as I do once I check into Padma. yes the price is high in comparison to other hotels in the area however the satisfaction of relaxment that I feel when here is worth it. The staff are incredibly beautiful and welcoming, the food outstanding, the pools and gardens in the resort are beautiful and perfectly maintained and the rooms are extremely comfortable clean and beautiful. I will come back here to finish my holiday for every Bali holiday.
Life's good at the Padma Bali resort in Legian”
We stayed at the Padma in 2005 for 10 days and really enjoyed ourselves and have just returned after spending 16 days there on this trip. There are renovations going on in the chalets and the hotel complex conatining what they call superior rooms was closed on the day we left for a major refit. It will be out of action for about 12 months meaning that the resort will be operating at around 58% capacity in that time. This isn't so bad as you have even more peace and quiet than you would have had without the reno's. The resort is pricey in comaparison to others and caherges heaps for food, drinks and even internet access. All these things are available at around 25-40% of the cost in competing resorts or in the numerous eating places on the streets of Legian. Next time we go to Bali ( next July ) we will break up our accommodation and therefore be able to stay longer.
This Hotel has everything”
This really is a lovely laid out well planed Hotel--the grounds are beautiful, giving the patrons a real sense of space. I have stayed there twice in my 12 visits to Bali over 20 years----Why didn't I stay every-time---because for me it is expensive, but they say you get what you pay for. For people that know Bali the 2 main beach ares--Kuta/Legian and on the other side of the island Sanur can be categorized as such.... Young--- Older, I think I have now progressed to the Older category and will stay on the quieter Sanur side from now on. That is not to say the Padma is noisy----far from it, the hotel is very tranquil, with small water falls and fish ponds every few yards-- it has it own access to the main beach--and everything in the hotel that one could want. Outside of those gates --you are in a younger more noisy party going area--with a lot of traffic. The Deluxe Chalet --usually just in blocks of 4 are very well laid out, vary large bathrooms with bath and separate showers, balcony with table and chairs--sliding wooden blinds that shut out the light completely.Iron and board provided. All of the staff spoke excellent English & were most helpful. The buffet breakfast was excellent.
Wonderful resort with excellent facilities”
My boyfriend and I spent 6 days at Padma and both agreed it was by far the best place we had ever stayed. Could not fault a thing. Friendly, smiling and willing staff. Beautiful sprawling grounds. Choice of restaurants and activities. Location. Just perfect. We booked the Deluxe Chalet and were upgraded to the Garden Deluxe Chalet, great spot away from the pool areas, extremely private and comfortable, spacious room. The cleaners would come in daily while we were out for breakfast and it would look just as it did when we checked in. Buffet breakfast is to die for and I'm sure we've both gained a few kilos during our stay! The American breakfast is a lot quiter, however the International breakfast has everything you can think of and more. Most impressive. I could actually go on for pages writing of how impressed we were about Padma, but I think the fact we are already planning our next stay at the resort says enough! If you are planning a trip to Bali, don't look past this first class resort!
Gorgeous Resort 5*”
My friend & I just had our first trip to Bali, and our experience at the beautiful Padma Resort certainly heightened our enjoyment! The happy, smiling staff that greet you whether you are making a guest enquiry, booking into breakfast, or walking to your room were just lovely. Oh, and I could not more highly recommend the amazing resort spa. We indulged in the warm stone massage, and then the ulitmate indulgence which was to die for!!!! No matter who you are, you will thoroughly enjoy your stay at the Padma Bali Resort.
The best place in Bali”
I absolutely love the Padma Legian. It was our second time there and we will definitely go back again! Facilities are amazing Staff a incredibly helpful and friendly Rooms are beautiful The breakfast has a huge variety The location is perfect- on the beach and bery central to everything It is a huge resort but it doesn't feel like there are heaps of people as it's well spread out and has so much to do there The spa is great A good gym with a sauna There is an adult only infinitely pool over looking the beach We went during a peak period this time and it was amazing, last year we went at an off peak time and it was also amazing! This year we revived a free upgrade to the new cottages and it was the best! Loved every minute at the Padma and my partners and I will be back!
It's everything it should be and more”
it was a recuperation break for my wife and I, as I had just left hospital having had a kidney removed. Selected Padma based on friends recommendations, weren't looking for a Bali shopping trip. The staff are fabulous, everyone of them pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. Some reviews had said the facilities were dated but we enjoyed everything, the many bars, restaurants, pools, especially the lagoon pool.there is one criticism however, you can feel the impact Northern Europeans are having on the Padma via the daily ritual of putting towels on the pool loungers and then dissapearing for the day expecting your lounger to still be there, reminds me of Spain in the 80s, the hotel does have signs up asking you not to do this. Would highly recommend the Padma to anyone and will go again.
Beautiful Hotel and very pleasant helpful staff”
We booked through Agoda whilst in Bali and got The Padma for a wonderful price. On arrival we were offered a free upgrade due to my mentioning an injury. The room was gorgoeus and in keeping with a Balinese feel. The staff were always friendly and helpful and worked very hard to keep the grounds perfect. The breakfast was the best we had of anywhere in the several resorts I have stayed in Bali. The rooms were cleaned to perfection every day. Whilst it is on the higher price range it is well worth it for a feel of luxury and very personalised service. The location is also very good, on the beach, near great shopping and plenty of choices of restaurants.
