Wonderful little oasis in ubud ”

Wenlofes our room at the padma retreat. Clean comfortable and spacious with a great balcony and view to which they brought us our delightful breakfast each morning. Very close walk to shops and sights. Quiet little street with some shops and services and just a couple minute to the Main Street and the market. Highly recommend this place to anyone.

Cosy place, good location, nice and clean room”

We stayed 4 nights. Had a nice room, facing the pool. The hotel is close to the Ubud Palace, some nice restaurants and the Monkey Forest too. Also, at the end of the street, starts a fantastic trail among the greenest rice fields (much better than Tegallalang). They served a nice breakfast with eggs and fresh fruits at our room every day. The only downside is that the pool is hidden under the trees, so there is very little sunshine in the pool area. Nevertheless, Ubud is not about laying at the pool. We had very good time, thank you Padma Ubud Retreat.

Bad experience”

We were given a cheaper room despite gaving booked a more expensive one. Only after we conplained we were given back some money. The room was just next to a construction site and it was extremely noisy starting from 7am. We got a big hair in our omelette. Not warm water in the shower. Could be cleaner as well. Much to expensive for what it is.

Disappointing”

We booked a double with air con and got a room with a fan. Only when I complained they offered to give me some money back. The room was right next to a construction sight and it was extremely noisy all day long starting from 7 am. Ordered an omlette for breakfast and got a big black hair in it. The staff were super slow. I had to ask them to come and clean the table 3 hours after we had breakfast and they told us they didn't have time because there were only three of them doing all the work. We ended up moving to another hotel which was more than half the price and much nicer and better service. It's not worth its money at all and I wouldn't recommend it. There is so much to choose from in Ubud.

this hotel location is very hard to find it and for room, not all room got Aircon,, in the end we get a room with fan. for the bed very hard and will noisy if we moved.

Fine room, great location. ”

I have stayed in 3 different rooms in Ubud, and this was the room I chose to accommodate my boyfriend who had Bali Belly and was more comfortable with a room with air conditioning rather than just a fan. This was the most expensive room of the three and the least satisfying. This really depends on your travel preferences though. If you don't care to have a connection with the staff and just prefer to have a nice place to sleep with free breakfast and a pool, this will work just fine. Personally, I prefer homestays for a more memorable experience. Also one morning I woke up to a cockroach by my bed which hasn't happened in any of the cheaper accommodation. For the price, you can find better in Ubud. But it depends on what kind of a traveler you are!
