It was hard to find transport to get out of the area around hotel. Taxi transport is very expensive, tour package is very expensive, there’s no at least refund or compensation if the weather ruins the trip. My entire stay was all about spending at least $500 aud throughout the trip there. But I must give credit to the staff they are very helpful and nice. But everything else is expensive especially if it’s refer as ‘budget lodge’

A decent place with a good view!”
Pagupon is a really decent hostel for a night or two if you're climbing for Mt Bromo. It has a shared toilet but provides a really good view and cosy spot to rest compared to other homestays. Although the location is further than the usual spot Cemero Lawang, I would still recommend Pagupon for it's service and clean simple rooms if you do not mind losing out on convenience. PS: You're able to see a clear sky on their amphitheater if you're interesting in taking pictures of the galaxy!

Near to Penanjakan sunrise view. The staff very helpful. even though our room not that spacious. we change from pagupon camp to jiwa jawa since the room currently renovation. But its okay and we both love it, the serrounding very calm. the resort itsef is huge.

So Pagupon is part of Jiwa Jawa (lower cost than Jiwa Jawa), but they're located in same area. The room is very small but enough since we didn't spend much time in the room. The location is near the main attraction. The staffs were polite and helpful. So overall it was a nice stay!

(4nights) Beautiful countryside view scenery just outside the room. Clean and quiet hotel. Helpful front desk and most of their staffs are friendly and polite. Fast laundry service. To all coming guest: The sharing hotel reception is just opposite @Rehab Bromo. The room helpline number always can’t get through, slow response. So check the room first and let them know in advance what you will probably need. Sharing single bathroom for men and women. There is a water dispenser just outside the rooms but it will be great if the hotel add some instant coffee or tea beside it.

Java Go Pagupon review”
Staff member hospitality ok. The place is grandiose, beautiful architecture. The lobby is paired with the cafe (no toilet in this building, it is in the restaurant) where is the only place you can find wifi. The restaurant is in another building at 25 meters from main building with a toilet. Our room was in the building on the other side of the street. The price for our 2 delicious moka-Java coffee was 88Krp and over price. We've been given a 100Krp voucher for breakfast. We paid 1000Krp for the room. from website we see a panoramic view from the room, but we end up with view hidden by trees. We could hear our neighboor above us talking, walking, we could even hear the noise of their water pouring from the fosset, very poor insonorisation, this hotel is way too over price for this important criteria (noisy). Beautiful and clean large room. Bed is comfortable, but we only found one coat hanger in the large wardrobe.

Beautiful hotel with great view”
The view is superb, staff are friendly and well-trained, food is great (you can eat at Jiwa Jawa's restaurant) Unfortunately, shared bathroom is not so convenient. The driver can be confused between Jiwa Jawa and this one. By going there, you can tell your driver to go to Jiwa Jawa (our driver don't know Java Go), it's in the same area, just a separate building.

The room has a very nice design and gorgeous view of the mountains but too simple. For the price we paid, I expect more basic amenities like cloth hanger, drinking mug (there's a water dispenser outside the room but no cup provided), extra pillows, electric socket (there's only one).

Not worth the money”
its a nice room with really comfortable beds and a good view. but we had issues with the little things like toilet paper not being replenished, soap in the shower running out, the free water dispenser running out of water and reception being closed when breakfast was supposed to be served. people planning on staying here should also be aware that the rooms have no gated entry or security post on them, which allows for both tourists and locals to access the rooms whenever they like. and because the view from the room is nice, we had a family of local tourists yelling and squealing about their selfies literally right in front of our door on the balcony at 6am. also, the location on google maps is not correct which is a problem if you're getting to the hotel by yourself. its actually further down the mountainside than shown. im not a big one to complain and am happy to stay in 40000rp per night rooms, but when you spend this much money, you expect a little more than hostel style service.

Amazing, friendly and convenient”
Was offered an upgrade to a room with attached bathroom within Jiwa Jawa Resort itself. Tried to explore the Pagupon Lodge and it seems abandoned as no one is around but the rooms are kept clean. The whole area is very well maintained and all the staff are amazingly nice! Jawa Banana is a must go for cozy and nice food cafe

price is doesnt make sense for the budget hotel, but its goes under jiwa jawa premium hotel, and nothing can compare its totaly different.. dont you ever try, its not worth for your expectation.. you better go bromo permai 1 or lava lodge for sure.
