A perfect stay”
We had a superb stay at Pai Laguna we booked for 1 night and stayed for 3. We would have stayed longer if we had more time. We stayed in a hut with a beautiful view over a lake. The rooms were spacious with a huge bathroom with hot water, fast internet and a lovely decking area outside of the room with cushions to lay out on. Pai Laguna is a few minutes away from the centre perfect for us as it was quiet on an evening but really well located for trips to the canyon, coffee in love, and the waterfalls. Charlie and Lek are the owners are both so friendly and caring they couldn't do enough to help us during our stay. We ate at their restaurant on the first night and enjoyed the food so much that we did a cooking class with them the following day for 750 baht each which was a fantastic experience. Highly recommend Pai Laguna.

Wanted to stay at least 12 months,”
Located about a ten meter walk out of Pai Central you've got an absolutely chilled out, laid back place to stay, far enough out that you never have road noise to keep you up, but close enough for an enjoyable stumble back from town. Charlie the landlord is an absolute gentleman and a scholar with fantastic English. He really is a genuinely welcoming guy, characteristic of his new home here in Pai since he moved from Bangkok. A really lovely breakfast is served every morning by the pond on some decking, a good place to meet and greet the other guests. It seems Pai Laguna attracts a slightly more subdued crowd than the places in the center. If that's what you're looking for, this is the place to come! Rooms are functional, clean and quite attractive in a deconstructed kind of way. A lot of it is bare concrete, and unpretentious. Great private backyards to the rooms too, outfitted with hammocks and private fridges. I've run out of superlatives. Just go, and stay as long as you can :)

Great stay at Pai Laguna”
We had a great here. Charlie is very friendly, great English and treated us so well. We even extended our stay. Big rooms, hot showers and not far from town. Pai centre is small but very nice for a walk. You want to get a moped to explore the area but otherwise Charlie is happy to run you into town. There is no restaurant at Pai Laguna but free tea and coffee and a nice place to sit during he day. He has a restaurant in town and he food is fantastic. The best quality for the great prices we've had so far. We ended up eating there a few times. Someone mentioned about not changing the sheets in their 3 day stay. I'm sure if you needed them changed and asked it would be no problem, otherwise I wonder how often they change theirs at home. These days most places are the same, considering the environment etc. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

great place to stay in Pai”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pai Laguna. We stayed two nights, and decided we will return for one month. The views, the natural beauty and quiet around the guest house, the owner Charlie's friendly and helpful attitude, the accommodations--all of these things contributed to our relaxation. It is a good 15 minute walk to the hub of Pai, but no big deal as we were happy to not be in the middle of the tourist haven. We will return and highly recommend others to stay here.

Good experience”
While the outward appearance of this guesthouse is somewhat scruffy, the rooms are good and adequately clean and comfortable. Quite good really, at this price. The location is outside of the downtown area, so transportation would help. The owner is a very pleasant, well educated man with excellent English. He is knowledgable and happy to share information on history, geography, roads and such. As well as sightseeing attractions and restaraunts in Pai. I recommend Pai Laguna for budget travel to Pai.

Peaceful”
My stay at Pai Laguna Hotel was one of the best stays in Thailand, part of it thanks to the owner, Charlie, who is a really nice guy, part of it because the hotel was in a quiet place in nature. I used their free bicycles to go to the city center, which is 10 minutes away by bicycle. Charlie also gave me a ride to the bus station when I checked out. If you want a quiet, peaceful place in Pai, this is it.

Beautiful location on the outskirts of town”
Pai Laguna is a beautiful place. It is not extravagant in its decor, minimalist but suitable for the location. The huts are located along a small lake. There is a hammocks and cushions to rest on. The rooms are small, mainly for sleeping. The beds are very comfortable. The bathrooms are very airy and spacious. The rooms and grounds are very clean. The resort is on the outskirts of town and the restaurant isn't functioning so one has to travel into town for food and shopping. There is a nightly walking street full of food and goods for sale.

Super chill oasis”
For me, Pai Laguna was just perfect ~ located out of the main town about 15min bike ride, it was like a lovely peaceful oasis. My little hut with hammock opened up to farmland and mountains over which I watched the sun rise every morning. Charlie was an amazing host, providing pedal bikes and a beautiful yoga space with mats for the guests at no extra charge, and even drove me into town to the bus station as I was leaving. The hut did get a little noisy during the night and early morning with animal noises, but that's what happens when you're surrounded by nature, haha! The food offered at the restaurant is a good value, basic but hearty, and I loved the chill-out area with various lounge platforms and hammocks. Amazing value ~ I didn't want to leave and will surely be back.

Beautiful, Relaxing, Amazing”
, the owner, was incredibly helpful. my girlfriend fell ill on the first day we were there and he took us to the clinic and stayed with us the entire time when we got anti-biotics and everything. our room was clean, large, and lovely. the hammock on the balcony was great. we ordered food from his restaurant several times and they were quick. i would strongly recommend staying at pai laguna. its about 10 mins bike ride into town and its worth being outside of town. you fall asleep listening to crickets instead of drunk tourists. a must stay.

Nice place ”
Pai Laguna could be 'the spot' in Pai with a little work. The grounds and public spaces are sprawling and in a beautiful setting but need a bit of upkeep as it's a bit run down at the moment. The room we stayed in was huge with a great deck and hammocks - we loved it. Although Pai Laguna is a bit away from the center of Pai, free bikes are available and the owner (Charlie) is kind enough to give you a lift when needed. You can also easily walk into town in about 25 minutes. Breakfast is not included in the rate and is a bit pricey for Northern Thailand standards, but it's on par with the other restaurants in Pai. If you are looking for a casual and quiet place to stay away from the party vibe in the center of town, than this is the best spot.... but if you are looking for a bit of action you may want to try elsewhere.

Love this place!”
I had booked one night to see what it was like first, after that I booked another 2 nights. I was tempted to book a private bungalow but went with the dorm option to save money. I'm very happy with my choice. I've stayed in a lot of dorms and this one is probably one of my favourites....and cleanist!! It's small with only 4 beds and has a very nice bathroom in the room, kind of felt like I was in a hotel room, just with extra beds. The shower was very hot and powerful and given the room being quite cool at night this was lovely before bed to warm up. The room and bathroom were very clean and modern. Little things make a difference like having lots of cupboards for your bags etc rather than everything laying about on the floor, having a little table behind your bed and bottled water. Outside the dorm room was a lovely patio seating area with a hammock, ideal to just chill out in peace and quiet. The surrounding area is lovely with views of the mountains and ideal if you don't want to be in the busy centre but not too far away. I hired a scooter for only 140 baht a day. Charlie the owner is fantastic!! So lovely and welcoming and greeted me with my first name when I arrived which was nice. He would even tell me if anyone else was in the dorm with me that night or if I was alone. Breakfast was delicious. You can use his next door neighbours pool for 50 baht. GREAT PLACE!! I would love to come back to Pai and if I do I'll be coming back here!

Best place we have stayed in 6 weeks in Thailand ”
We originally booked 3 nights but extended this to a week almost immediately. The owner, Charlie, is one of the nicest people we have met in Thailand, constantly offering lifts into the town. It is only a 10/15min walk or 2mins on a scooter, you need a scooter to see the best of Pai anyway. We stayed in a hut overlooking a lake with mountains in the background, it was stunning. We had our own private area outside our hut with seats and an area to lie down and chill! You can also use the massive pool at the hotel next door. Couldn't recommend this place more, especially for the price.

My favourite Place in Pai”
When I arrived in Pai I got picked up by the owner Charlie from the meeting point. I was driven to the Hotel like a VIP :) He explained about free water refill, the free bicycles and the big pool next door. I straight fell in love with this place. The bungalows are facing sunrise , are very big with good bathroom facilities and have free WIFI in the room. They are clean and very quiet. Charlie is here to help or to give tips about the surrounding area at all time. I highly recommend that place to everybody who likes peace and quietness and yoga.

Beautiful, cozy, romantic hotel”
Although a bit difficult to find, the owner provides pick up service from the bus station which we did not know and had to pay someone to drop us off. Remember to call him if you need help! Owner very helpful and friendly and speaks good English. He also upgraded our room and literally gave us a tour and choice of rooms to pick from. Rooms although dates are very well maintained and spacious. Overlooking a lake so very lovely view. Beautiful place that totally complements the beauty of Pai!! Highly recommend.

Owner js very nice person and well spoken. He explain about pai and to do in pai. Owner Speaks bery fluent english. I love this place a lot would definitely come back .

Laguna Hotel is a beautiful little sanctuary nestled just outside of town. Charlie is the kindest host! Definitely recommend! The public pool next door is a highlight as well.

Cold, easy and simple.”
The stay, all in all, was good. It was winter there so it gets very cold at night. The rooms being constructed of concrete or bamboo, they have a tendency to get as cold, if not colder at times, than the outside temperatures. However, the temperature during the day is very warm. The rooms were nice, but could use a good cleaning. Like many rooms in SE Asia, if the staff were to just go the extra mile a little bit when cleaning the room, it would make a huge difference in the overall quality. The Pai Laguna was no exception. However, our room did have the hottest water we came across during our five weeks of traveling and when it's cold outside, that's a godsend. Seriously, the hot water never stopped. It was a luxury that most westerners take for granted and many people in town were very envious of this when we mentioned it. Charlie, the owner was very nice and accommodating and he really tried to help you anyway he could. I'd recommend this place to someone traveling to Pai.

Very good stay - amazing staff”
Pai Laguna is great! We stayed there for 4 nights in a hut Bungalow. We felt very safe and the view from our terrasse was stunning! Next to the hotel is a pool you can use for 50THB per day. In total the room was clean and confi and we got warm blankets for the cold nights in Pai. Also breakfast was good for 80THB and coffee and tee for free. We were even alloud to use the hotels washing mashine for our clothes! But the best was truely the staff!!!! Charlie and his team did a great job. My friend was very sick during our stay there and they really cared and helped her, they even brought her medicine! Since the Hotel is a bit more outside of Pai town they provide bikes (not the best ones but OK) and Charlie even drove us and picked us up several times...really lovely! Thanks again Charlie for the great time we had with you!

Relaxing room and peace at night”
It quite challenge you to find the way to this hostel but I did enjoy my stay. I really liked the arrangement of the eaves where I could enjoy Pai at night. The landlord was very nice and helpful, like your tour guide giving me good advice for my trip and always available when needed. The location is not the strength but it's easy to deal with a rented motorbike.
