Good location, a little bit old.”
Pro: by the river and not far from walking street. Attentive staff. Con: fridge almost not working as nothing seems to get cold in there. Kettle needs to be replaced as it never cut and keeps boiling which is dangerous. Breakfast is so so.

Maybe a cheap young backer haven”
I now know what a hard bed in Thailand is about. Slept, perhaps, on box springs? I as able to feel each and every spring. The breakfast, I think, satisfied holidaying Thais (it is Xmas time here) but it was nothing I could recognize, except Tang and less than wonderbread toast. But the location...3 mins out of town over a bamboo bridge made it all okay. The lodge across the bridge, exiting Pai Nai Fun, just on the right, served cold beer, and good cheap breakfasts that a westerner can ID. Plus the staff was exceptional. TV had one English speaking station - the rest Thai I believe.

It was fun. you can grab a couple of beers and drink by the river at night. great for just chillin' out. The one who manages the hotel is such a very nice spirited lady everyone who meets her would want to give her a hug. The things, I think almost everyone you meet in Pai is like that!

The hotel was very close to the city center. The breakfast was quite good although not many selections. The tent was next to the river so we had a very enjoyable view when we woke up and went to bed. We'd recommend the hotel especially for couples. The shared bathrooms were clean, however it was cold in the winter since they are located outside. Overall everything went very well.

Overpriced bamboo tents. ”
This place was almost empty of guests, whilst surrounding places were fully booked. The shared bathroom was grubby. The shower was cold. Breakfast was sliced bread and salad. Thai beds tend to be hard, but this one was bad. Mosquito net was damaged. The staff were friendly enough. There was absolutely no life about the place though, and this was the third place I've stayed around Pai river. The location is fab. For one night this place served a purpose.

Accommodation was very good, the Villas are well serviced and perfectly located adjacent the river. Quirky bridge over the river to access the town which is very close by and offers great restaurants and very good shopping etc.

the showerhead of room 2 is bad. The heater doesnt work well. There is no staff available at all times. and there is no breakfast.

Pai itself is not an overrated place. it is definitely not the hidden gem which is worth the 3.5 hours car ride. There is a night market which chiang mai city itself have and mostly the highlights are the little "creative" bars which the city itself have! people go there becos they feel it is a cool place to hangout whereby the environment is chill and hippies are everywhere smoking. it is a stupid place to go. ok about the hotel it is one of the most uncomfortable hotel i have ever stayed and overpriced as well. they might as well just give me a tent if there were to provide such an awful room. the room is small and the toilet looks ugly and dirty.

Good for budget”
The place is hot in the day but cool at night. The receptionist was flexible enough to change us into another tent since ours has a beehive in front. Breakfast is poor in selection. We had to go out. After all the space is alright if you're not that needy.
