"Beautiful hotel, located at the best spot in pai. The stuff was amazing, very kind, took care of everything we needed especially May, one of the girls at the desk. The only two problems were the smell in the room because the rooms are made of woods and it’s raining season, and the frogs outside the room made a lot of noise at night. The price was a little expensive compared to the other hotels in pai, but it was a level above everything. We had a great time and enjoyed our staying."

"The room was made of reclaimed teak (floors and walls) with a proper bathroom attached and we didn't want to leave it! The balcony had cushions and seats that looked out over a very pretty garden (with the scent of jasmine wafting over you) that in turn leads, in seconds, to the river, where you can also idle away your time enjoying the great location. Everything was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was lovely. The excellent and efficient owner and her staff were extremely helpful and kind. There is a very good riverside restaurant as well, serving excellent and authentic northern Thai food. It is located only two minutes walk from the centre of Pai and yet it is quiet."

"Comfortable stay just tucked away from most of the noise. There is a busy backpackers club next door which promptly stops the music around 12 o'clock. So if you have sleeping problems or kids, you may need to ask for a room away from the neighbours. It is a beautiful little boutique resort which is only a 3 minute walk to the night street where there are a number of market stalls. Pai is a pretty relaxed town so it will suit you if you want to walk around at a slow pace and relax. There are plenty of food options and many drinking holes along the way all seemingly at reasonable prices compared to the larger cities of Thailand. The resort had a few mosquitos in the room, but a bit of spray sorted that out. Bed was big and comfortable. Shower/ Toilet room was great. For sure would stay here again. Oh, there is also car parking available. We have been to Pai 4 times now and we really like this hotel. Staff were attentive. A nail was sticking up a little bit on one of the chairs so I asked for a hammer. They hammered the nail in, and then walked around to all the outdoor settings on the resort checking that the issue was not elsewhere. Amazing, I am kind of used to people just fixing the presenting problem. This kind of illustrates the care they take at the resort."

"We had two rooms. When we checked in they accidentally gave us a twin bed room. But they soon fixed this up and fortunately meant one of our rooms was upgraded to the river view room (gave that to our parents). The standard rooms have beds on a raised platform on the floor, which actually is quite nice to sleep on. This would be one of the most expensive hotels in Pai, but worth the cost. Rooms were designed well, bathroom was big. The only thing they needed to fix was the poor lighting in the bathrooms. You can't see anything to do anything (ie girlfriends makeup). Breakfast was not buffet, but made to order and you can get it anytime of the day, so take the time to wake up when you like. No hurry here. Food was good quality and we used the breakfast everyday. Right in town, a little difficult to get your car too and only a few parking spaces available. We had an issue with ants engrossing our car as it was parked next to a bush. So if you drive, make sure your car isn't touching any trees, bushes etc, or you might come out to find your car infested with the little annoying insects. Overall was a great hotel to stay at. If I returned to Pai, I would stay here again in a heartbeat. However, a few too many foreign Hippies have taken residence for my liking. "

"This is my second visit to the Reverie Siam, and I loved it just as much. Delightfully, this time I felt no obligation to go and do any tours, and so I lazed my days away at the hotel, which it is certainly designed to support. There are two pools, a traditional rectangular one and a more family friendly organic shaped one, which some of the rooms can step straight out into. The buildings and grounds are all charming, a successful mix of Mediterranean planting and colonial "Indochine" architectural style. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and elegant. And the riverside pavilion is unbelievably peaceful (and barely used!). The breakfasts are included in the room price, and very generous (I learnt from last time not to have all the courses offered!) The bar itself is pretty well stocked, has a surprisingly good selection of spirits and wine. And the food is Mediterranean inspired (which I have to confess would be my one wish: if they also had some delicious Thai options on the menu, to me it would be perfect!). They offer free shuttles into town, but if only takes 15 minutes to walk in. The quiet little hamlet the hotel is attached to, just outside Pai, seems to be developing as a more independent hub - there are a few decent cafes, though bafflingly they all shut firmly by 6pm. (Why?!) However, there are worrying signs of development all around, and a large new ugly market building, hope they're not going to build too much round here. Note: once in the hotel, you can't see or hear any of this, it's all at a slight remove. Overall I loved my trip, you won't regret booking here. Want to give a shout out to Tida Massage on one of Pak's main streets (a few doors down from Charlie & Lek restaurant), it's not listed on TripAdvisor and I can't add it. Run by two lovely ladies (and their cheeky cat), really great massage - and I have easy access to good/cheap massage living in China, so am not easily won over. I happened to try them out on my first day, and went back ever"

"Staying at a riverside cottage is the best way to experience what Pai is all about. You're in nature with the town just steps away. The cottage is rustic and simple, so it feels like camping but with a little more comfort. If you're afraid of bugs, you may want to stay at a fancier resort, although there will probably be a few bugs there too. It's mostly quiet, although the music from the place next door can be loud late into the night on the weekends. The staff is friendly and helpful. I'd recommend this place and would stay here again."

We loved the location overlooking the river, it was very pleasant to eat, drink and chill in the lounge/restaurant area. "Soi One is the most beautiful and comfortable Bedrooms that we have ever stayed in Thailand! The breakfast is also very delicious. It's just at the corner of the main road. Wnat's more, it is very close to the riverside. We have spend four wonderful nights in Soi One. The host and the manager is very nice and helpful. The hostess is an artist. Her handmade works are the most beautiful souvenirs that I have bought in Pai. If you are a customer, you can have a discount in her boutique. Enjoyed the days in Pai and the nights in Soi One! "

"Perfect location next to the night market/walking street and river. Bars/nightlife/massages were also convenient. All you have to do is cross the bamboo bridge! Loved the flowers outside of the cottages. Very simple rooms with a private bathroom and a fan. We stayed here twice, and the second cottage even had a tv.. The porch was my favorite, with a private hammock and a beautiful view of all the flowers. If you're looking for simple and convenient to almost everything in Pai, this is your spot. Spent my mornings with the free coffee in my hammock enjoying the serenity. :)"
