Room and shower is spacious. Rooms are cleaned daily. Nice places to sit right out side of room. Pool is nice but a little cold. Resort is out side of town so a scooter is recommend you can rent them at front desk. Breakfast is okay but on the pluse side we got greeted by a momma cat and her 5 kittens every morning. Staff are friendly, the drove us back into town so we could catch our bus.
Gutes Hotel mit Charme”
The hotel is located right beneath the old town and so it is easily possible to get to the markets as well as get to the temples. The transfer to the airport is good, because of the main street right in front of the hotel. But be sure to get a room on the backside, so you will have a good view on the Buddha right beneath the hotel. The room was small with a big bed and a nice bath. The mattress seemed to be a little old. The personal is pretty friendly and always tries to help you as best as possible, even if English is not there favourite language. But hey, it's Thailand. I would book it again.
Just the right distance from town.”
Loved our stay. Was chilly the first night. Solved that by switching to evening showers, and minimizing daytime use of AC. Didn't like how the Refrigerator turned off with the removal of the room key fob. Solved that by disconnecting key from fob and leaving it in room to keep our milk cold. Highlight: Cute cats on property, and good breakfast.
Yes or No”
We have two different experience staying in this hotel. We stayed for 3 nights in total. First 2 nights on the standard room. The room need a significant upgrade and run down (not like pic). Low ceiling and not enough lighting. The last night is in second floor - room with balcony. Last night is better experience. Room is spacious and king bed. Would recommend for traveller to order their deluxe balcony room only and not the standard room, is two different experience.
Would not stay here again ”
Can’t say I was happy with this place and I don’t feel it is a good value at 1300 baht ($40 USD) per night. My room was by the pool and could be very loud at times. The door won’t even close properly. If you pull to hard when closing it goes all the way through and opens on the other side. Big bathroom, though dimly lit. Bed is typical. I chose this place because I thought it I did like where it was located. The breakfast was good and a wide variety when compared to other hotels I’ve stayed at in Thailand. The staff speaks virtually no English so communicating is difficult at best. I went through the hotel to hire a private car back to Chiang Mai. It was terrible. Driver spoke no English and I’m not sure he’d done much driving before. It was awful. Would have been better if I’d rented a car and driven myself. This place may possibly be worth it at half the rate
Worth every penny spent”
well, best place and worth every penny staying there. Our room upgraded to the second floor facing entire football court and grand mountain view. Love the attitude of friendly staff there. Room very clean and bed beyond comfortable...It's 5 minutes away from all the bustle and hustle of the tourists in the city center..quiet and tranquil and very relaxing indeed...
Lovely staff, beautiful setting, garden, and pool. Bonus 5 adorable kittens.
Pros: Big room with comfortable beds Big bathroom with ammenities Quiet room Cons: Outdated Breakfast could be better Location is a little far if you dont have a private vehicle
Nice location, breakfast was cold but when we told them to turn up the burners she did.
Staff doesn't speak any English which made it difficult. Nice clean swimming pool, picturesque place. Location not very convenient if you wish to be close to the walking street. Breakfast was average. You can wash your own clothes for free using their washers which is nice.
A decent inn”
Quite decent inn, although the rooms looked way better in the photos. The room ceiling was low so taller people might be uncomfortable when taking a shower. The premises were nice and romantic anyways.
Beautiful, clean rooms and location”
Stayed at this place with our two kids in the family room. The beds both slept two comfortably. The room was clean and well appointed. The grounds (and especially pool) were well maintained. Only complaint is no fresh coffee at breakfast--only instant (yuck). But coffee/espresso/etc. available for purchase.
Unchanged and beautiful Pai”
We had a 4 night stay here very pleasant. For the price our room was nice and spacious..The bed was semi hard and was only a double...Aircon works fine.. Ample size bathroom, the shower water was warm to hot. The rooms are not that well sound proofed so you can here what your neighbors are up to..The wifi in the evening is intermittent...However credit where credit is due on our last night I had no wifi for well over an hour I called the hotel number and I was informed the problem would be fixed, 10 mins later it was working fine not bad for 11pm.. The surrounding area to our room was very pleasant.. Minimize opening your front door of a night time to cut down on flying insects and mosquitoes...A brisk walk each morning to the breakfast area which is at the front entrance to this place. The breakfast itself was OK...The staff are very nice and very helpful..Thanks to Milk for the free shuttle service picking us up and dropping us off at the van/bus station... We decided to hire a scooter from The resort and paid a Baht 500 deposit and a charge for hire each day of Baht 200, even thou the main town center you can hire for less "but you have know guarantee of the safety of the bike.To fill the tank up was only Baht 50 hahaha... Pai walking street with it many choices of restaurants and night market on a motor bike or scooter it takes approx 5 minutes and by foot a good 30 mins. Great weather for November warm morning and nice through out the day, "I was pleasantly surprised as all the articles I had read, said it would be brisk in the mornings and evenings... Central to reach the hot springs entrance price Baht 300 for foreigners and Baht 50 for Thai's worth the while for a dip of good minerals. There is a strawberry farm close by and for scenic photography, don't bother buying the strawberry wine " I love coffee is worth the visit as the scenery is stunning... Pai itself is very laid back, unchanged and catering for many ex pats and back packers and I am pleased to s
Great rooms, staff ok”
The room we got was great. Super clean, very beautiful and nice toilets. Although some parts of the room (mostly the toilet) looked a bit unfinished or botched (paint, sink not really aligned, the towel hanger looked pitiful). The staff did not feel very friendly in my opinion, they only did the necessary and I felt like I was disturbing/annoying them whenever I had any request. The place is real close to the party beach and far enough so that you don't hear any loud music at all. I had a good stay overall and would recommend regardless the minor issues stated before.
Go somewhere else ”
Not much of a resort or hotel. No laundry service. Overpriced scooter rentals. The same company they called to bring the scooter charges almost half that in the city center. Hard to communicate. No vegetarian options for breakfast and not a lot of help getting around. Didn't feel very welcoming. I really wanted to like this place but I didn't. Pai is ok but you can have a nicer time elsewhere. Pick one of the hotels or "resorts" closer to city center and you'll save money and most likely have a better time. Bugs were sort of an issue. Waking up with different bugs in the bed. Good luck!
Very nice resort but a few things to improve”
The rooms are very nicely decorated, big and clean at the first day. They were not cleaned after the first day. Maybe they do it on request. The staff was friendly. The kids of the owner are pretty naughty, occupied the pool, showed us the middle finger, spilled water at us and played very loud music and games during the breakfast. The breakfast was cold but ok. The resort itself is very nice and I can recommend it. I was a bit frustrated by the kids
Comfortable place out of town”
Nice comfortable room Breakfast Chinese style Nice pool but weather was too cold in December to use! This is out of town so need to rent motorbike to get anywhere Staff will pick you up from bus station for free if you call Staff super friendly
Dear guest, thank you for choosing Pai Yododo Inn for your holiday in Dec-2016 and really appreciate that you gave us this review. We'll keep improving our service and facilities to give everyone better experience! Welcome to Pai again!
Pros: beautiful rooms, great views, delicious breakfast. Nice pool! Cons: further walk from town on a big busy road than easy to do each time with an inconvenient shuttle ( it stopped at 10pm so we walked home a few times) Our room was only cleaned on the first day. We were told they had to get our permission first. When we gave it, we thought it was for our entire stay. It wasn't. They had left the dirty towels in the room and we ran out of toilet paper. I'd definitely stay here again but travelers need to know to request room cleaning and be prepared to walk or have a driver available.
Yododo in Pai”
Pro - beautiful room and grounds Pro- wonderful breakfast Pro- great pool Pro- overall great location with a driver Con - need better shuttle service available 24/7. If we weren't done in town by 10pm we had to walk home. Con - housekeeping should happen automatically each day. The 1st day we were told we needed to give permission but that permission was apparently only good for each day.
It's a wonderful place, near the Pai Waan. The room is exactly the same as puctures with a good view. Reception girls are enthusiastic and beautiful, they help us a lot. Breakfast is delicious. I will”
