Exceptional”
Pal's Inn is a lovely hotel with beautiful surroundings. The rooms are neat and clean with a nostalgic feel. Considerations are: no elevator, and the bath may be a squeeze for taller or bigger guests. I would definitely stay here again!

Good location”
This was a great location and a nice view of the sea. Although it was a non smoking room our room smelled of stale cigarettes. There were a couple times where I couldn't get someone to come to the front desk but that could be due to lower staff during the state of emergency.

Pretty standard with good location”
Comparing with other hotels nearby, (Sunrise Katsuura), this one is uglier and with no onsen. Good location, poor breakfast.

serene beachview”
located at Kii-Temma, sandwiched between Nachi and Kii-Katsuura, this place offers a quiet beach getaway. Staff was really helpful and kind. If you're looking to visit Kii-Katsuura or Nachi no Taki, but prefers a quiet accomodation, this is the place.

Near JR station - nice place”
If You are looking for some life, night or day, this place is not for You. But if You interested in Kumano kodo shrines, it's the best value place to spend nights. It's 5min walking to kii-Temma station, so easy make a daytrips to Nachi Taisha and water fall, Hayatama shrine in Shingu, Hongu Taisha (bus from Shingu). And it's about 20 min walking to Kii-Katsuura for onsens and some food. We'l be back, I hope.

Good base from which to visit Taiji to see dolphin”
No complaints about actual hotel itself. I had travelled to Kii Katsuura so as to be able to visit the town of Taiji, (a 15 minute taxi ride from hotel) each morning in late January 2014. The reason I was travelling to Taiji was to witness the horrific "Cultural" event which occurs 6 months of the year, every year. i.e., the mass slaughter of dolphins, and captivity of dolphin/ whale for Aquariums throughout Japan, and several countries throughout the world, including Dubai. Further information on this can be found by watching the movie "The Cove", which was recorded in the town of Taiji. Also look at CNN and other media reports which can be found on YouTube etc. As for the hotel itself, none of the staff could speak english but that wasn't an issue, sign language is amazing:) The only negative thing I'd say about the hotel is it's not exactly central to the town of Kii Katsuura, it's about a 20 minute walk from the centre, there are hotels closer to the centre than this one.

Good for short stay ”
Stayed one night to be near Kiikatsuura station for a connecting bus to the daimonzaka & nachi falls. Close to Kiitemma station, which is inbetween Kiikatsuura & Nachi station. Quiet area that overlooks the seaside which was lovely. Dated rooms, but had all the amenities required for one night. Breakfast included was lovely! Note: hotel does not have any lifts, so you'll need to carry any luggage via the stairs to your room.

Nice sea view, silent and peaceful, probably more suitable for couple in regards of money and environment. But one could not book hotel in Kii-Katsuura, this one would be an good alternative.

Lovely place and great service”
Good and basic place to stay, across the sea. Simply beautiful in the morning and in the evening. Hotel has basic facilities, nothing fanciful and maybe a bit of a walk to the shuttle bus pick up stop for some. It works for me though. Oh, big thumbs up for the staff there... they really tried their best to communicate and assist me though they struggle abit with English. :)

Excellent budget option”
Our room was nice(not large but ocean view, all amenities). The owner did speak just enough English to greet us (what we have had everywhere) and sign-in was easy. Breakfast was way better than expected: rice, miso, and they bring you plate with several items including Japanese eggs, fish etc. All good!

Peaceful seaview, spacious room”
They offered free-of-charge hot spring in their sister hotel located at the city centre 10-minute walk away. Free parking. A budget hotel definitely deserves a much higher rating.

Very nice hotel near the beach”
Large room with good view of the ocean. During our stay we witnessed the breathtaking beauty of the sunrise by the bay and its rugged coastal area ads drama to the already beautiful scenery.

Hotel is run down, no lift. In the middle of 2 roads. No other facilities except you are able to use the onsen in another hotel 2 mins drive away. Breakfast is very simple.

I'll stay here again for its sea view and location nearby Nachi and Kii-Katsura. (For a person who likes walking)
