One of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in. The setting, location, decor and service: A+”
Lovely in every way. I particularly appreciated this hotel for what it WASN’T...so tired of high-end hotels that lack originality of design and decor. The Palace Hotel was infused with fresh interiors, soft spring-colored palette...sophisticated, warm and inviting. No cookie-cutter beige, tan and granite sleekness here. The location, attentive service (we adored the young man who assisted with our luggage, nicknamed K! the kindest of persons, a gentleman through and through)...cuisine and amenities were all top-notch. I could not have wanted anything more! It is a gem of a hotel! We will return!
In one of the best neighbourhoods in Tokyo that makes you want to come back agin and again. The hotel atmosphere is pleasing and the breakfast buffet is fantastic. Quality of staff varies. Some are extremely professional, but some looks indifferent when approached, which I think is not up to the standard of this hotel.
Impressive and Expensive”
This hotel exudes Money. Their lobby areas are beautiful as are the grounds and other facilities. We feel a little under-dressed in our American casuals of tee-shirts and shorts among the Japanese who mingle downstairs, but that's ok because everyone is very polite. The personal service and room, however, don't quite compare to the Four Seasons Seoul, an amazing hotel. But for Tokyo, this place is great for my wife and two young children.
The hotel, the room, the seamless service, and quality of food served at room service were superb and very luxurious. The corner deluxe room we were upgraded to was very spacious, had fantastic views of the park and the imperial east gardens, and was full of small, thoughtful touches (like a selection of cords for the guests’ devices) and a Japanese tea set. The only downside is that cable tv is not offered, so only local Japanese language channels were available. Nonetheless, with a hotel like that, who needs tv? I can only wish I had stayed longer!
Hotel right above the Otemachi line, making it amazingly convenient to get anywhere. Rooms were amazing, one of the best rooms I've been in around the world. Breakfast was also amazing, highly recommend getting the french toast! Will definitely be staying here again next time I'm in Tokyo.
It took a while when we check-in and waited for our room”
When we check-in, the room was not ready. So we went out for lunch, but after we came back, it took a bit long for us to stand and wait at the front desk for our keys. Besides, the breakfast could be better and with more varieties.
love it! great location”
great walk thru the lakes & best part of Ginza shopping belt. should check out this great cafe: 6th by Garden Hotel, friendliest staff ever, nice atmosphere! (@ night) Concierge & porters are the best in town! great helps.. other staff hanging around the lobby, while helpful, are a bit patronising but I may be wrong :))
Nice hotel with a great service ”
I was here two times - four days when I arrived and three days when I was back again to catch a flight home. This hotel has a friendly and efficient staff. Overall, the rooms and bathrooms were clean. The carpets needed a good stain remover and shampooing and the bathroom, although clean, had stains due to guest damage. Would I stay here again? More than likely, yes, because no hotel is perfect and during my trip I stayed at different ones and they each had their own flaws. This hotel is located in a beautiful area. Do take a walk and circle the outside of the imperial palace - takes about 2 hours if you make frequent stops, take photos and take time to relax. The hotel is about a 12 minute walk to the Tokyo station and when it rains, you have access to it through the hotel or you can take a taxi - about $6. The rooms with balconies have nice views if you're planning to spend time at your hotel. They also have a nice cocktail lounge. I didn't try it because I was traveling solo.
Sensational views and everything!”
What a superb hotel. No problem to walk via the underpass with our cases to arrive from Otamachi station, and walked back when we left to Tokyo station above ground. 10 mins or so each way (and we are in our 60s). The staff were so pleasant, and the views from the 21st floor were superb. Mentioned that it was our anniversary when we checked in and by the time we arrived in our room there was a welcome plate of goodies, and a message congratulating us. An unexpected delight.
Well located & Friendly staff”
Located next to the Palace. Connected to the underground metro station. 10 minutes walk to the Tokyo Station City. Friendly staff. Excellent food for breakfast.
It’s got what you need”
Best location, that’s a given. Impeccable service, of course. Wide range of food offerings, impressive. Thoughtful design, yes, splendid. This hotel has all of that. But it’s the VIBE they create that makes it such a great place for everyone. Business travellers, culture vultures, romantic couples, no matter what your needs, they’re covered. And the art in the hotel is worth the stay alone. Which is why this was our fourth stay!
We traveled throughout Japan for 2 weeks, staying at a number of fine hotels. The Palace Hotel Tokyo was our favorite by far! The entire hotel is absolutely beautiful! Great location, good food, excellent service, and amazing rooms and views! If we ever return to Japan, we will most definitely stay at this hotel.
5 Star Hotel with 5 Star Sevice ”
Standouts: rooms (we were on club level) well appointed, staff very helpful and friendly, club is nice, large indoor pool serviced by Evian, food Fromm japanese restaurant high quality, concierge organised Sumo, teppanyaki and other tours for us, special 5 Star touches like hotel pyjamas and weather forecasts left on bed for next day. Improvements could be made: not many! But grand kitchen food was a good standard (not amazing for price). Food in Japanese restaurant was amazing, but more expensive.
Best stay ever”
Hotel is connected to the Yurakucho station, which makes it very convenient. There is a convenience store in the basement of the hotel. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and spoke good English. Room was luxurious (King deluxe with balcony).
We love to stay at Palace Hotel every time we go to Tokyo! The location is nice, only 5 mins walking distance to Tokyo station, the staff is really helpful and professional. The food in the lounge cafe is yummy too.
Dream stay in Tokyo”
This was my first time at the Palace Hotel Tokyo and it was fantastic. I Usually stay in Shinjujku or Shinagawa to be near the train hubs, but from now on will be staying at the Palace. The hotel has everything you need. The gym is incredible and a must do. The restaurants are also top caliber, if a bit hard to get into due to the popularity. While the train station might be a few blocks walk, it also opens you up to whole world of different restaurants and shops. This room was fantastic. I had an incredible view of the Palace and the room was loaded with space. The shower and bath were both top notch and it was hard to force yourself out of that tub it was so comfortable to soak in after a long day of walking around Tokyo. The staff was efficient and on their game. They were very accommodating to a non Japanese speaking guest and I appreciated that.
The Palace Hotel Tokyo is the Place to Stay”
We enjoyed our stay at the Palace Hotel Tokyo very much...it was one of the highlights of our Japan tour. The staff was friendly, welcoming and helpful. The public spaces were beautiful and our room was very large with a great view. We enjoyed lunch and breakfast in the first floor restaurant which was much better than a typical hotel restaurant. Highly recommended.
Just as great second visit”
Second visit and again found great room, great service staff, friendly and helpful reception and concierge. Great views of the city and the imperial parks. I like this hotel so much that I almost hate to mention this -- at no charge reception printed out and made a pdf of a legal document I had to send to the US, but later in my visit I was charged for using the business center when I printed a 6 page document. But that in no way affects my review. This is the best hotel I have found in Tokyo and I would not consider staying anywhere else whether as a tourist (right on the subway lines and just one stop to Tokyo Station -- although I took a taxi because of luggage), or for business (great place to do business, including getting work done and business meetings). If there was a rating above 5-star, this hotel would be the standard.
Outstanding Service and Accomodations”
This is a wonderful five star hotel located across from the Imperial Palace, close to Tokyo station, and near several underground arcades (malls) full on wonderful retail shops and eating places. It is also in the heart of the business section. The rooms are large, comfortable, and contain every conceivable need for a pleasant, relaxing stay. The staff is excellent, often anticipating our needs before we said anything and willing to accommodate every need. I had one small business concern getting a document to be signed, scanned, and emailed, which was accomplished for me without charge and expeditiously. This request, and every one we made, was completed graciously and then followed up on the next day to make sure it had been satisfied. Only issue was that we were unable to get reservations at the restaurants and the room service menu was rather sparse. We like to dine late in the Italian style, but apparently here and everywhere in Japan that is not the custom. Most restaurants close at 10 pm. But I would not consider staying anywhere else in Tokyo. The Palace is a great hotel. If I worked in Tokyo I would want to live there.
Luxury stay in the heart of Tokyo”
Fantastic and conveniently located luxury hotel. Friendly and attentive staff. Great buffet breakfast (lots of options to choose from). Hotel designed to a very high standard, no faults or any signs of wear and tear (well looked after). Would definitely recommend and would love to return.
