The design 4-star Palazzo Virgilio offers stylish rooms with light-wood furniture, free Wi-Fi and an LCD TV. It is just 100 metres from Brindisi Train Station. Rooms at Virgilio come with air conditioning and soundproofing systems and have light colours and either carpeted or wooden floors. Tea and coffee making facilities complete the in-room services. Guests can enjoy international cuisine, Italian favourites and Puglia specialities at Palazzo Virgilio’s à la carte restaurant, open for lunch and dinner. The property’s terrace on the first floor is furnished with tables and chairs and is the ideal place for a drink or cocktail. Palazzo Virgilio is a 5-minute walk from the city’s historic centre and 1 km from Brindisi Harbour. Brindisi Papola Airport is 15 minutes away by car.

Locatie vlak aan station met vooral 's avonds veel louche figuren. Op een kwartiertje wandelen van historisch centrum en haven. Brindisi zelf heeft niet veel te bieden. Personeel niet echt behulpzaam (communicatieprobleem ?, gebrek aan engelse taal ?) en info die ze verstrekken bleek dikwijls foutief. Kamer aan de kleine kant. Badkamer ook vrij klein, en kleine miertjes op de vloer. Ontbijt zeer beperkt en geen variatie. Niet voldoende aanvullingen. Roereieren uitgedroogd, amper brood (is wel typisch voor Italië), wel vers appelsiensap. Zeer duur voor wat het was, slechte prijs/kwaliteit.

The bed was quite hard and the bathroom was quite poor. Very difficult to get into the shower over bath and the hot water took five minutes to come through

Hotel is easy to find, only a few minutes walk from central Brindisi with all the shops, restaurants, waterfront etc, with friendly, helpful staff and good facilities. Room was clean and modern with comfy bed and the breakfast had an excellent choice; hot,cold, cereal, fruit, pastries etc.
