Terrible management of unit”
I’ve stayed at this hotel many times . I’ve always booked directly through Marriot but this time I booked the hotel through singer island resort and spa luxury suites . We had several issues with the unit we stayed at #812. Below please find the email I wrote to GUEST SERVICES after no one returned my message on the first day. Dear Sir or Madam, My name is Jane Doe and today, June 11th, is our checkout day from room 812 at the Marriot singer Island Resort and Spa. I left a message yesterday morning with the phone provided as well as spoke with the hotel. This room has several problems that’s needs to be addressed. The microwave door does not shut and therefore, its indoor light remains lit. We had to shut off the breakers in order for it not to bother other guests in the room but more importantly, we had no use of the microwave as well. Both bathroom toilets need new plumbing hardware. The water in one specifically kept running all night because the plug inside is worn out and lets the water filter. The chain attached to the plug kept falling off which meant I had to keep reattaching it to be able to flush. When we used the dryer, the rooms AC vents would start to blow hot air as if we had turned on the heat. The unit became so hot we had to open the veranda doors and decided to no longer dry our clothes in your dryer machine. Lastly, in one of bathroom, the one with the two beds, lights do not all turn on and the ones that do, do not have the proper voltage, meaning there’s not enough light. It feels constantly dimmed. There is also a lamp in the living room that does not turn on. I’ve stayed at this hotel on several occasions and this was the first time I’ve used this 3rd party service and quite frankly, I’m disappointed with how poorly this unit has been maintained. Also, I’m very disappointed with the fact that no one reached out to me to help fix the issues. The hotel said they couldn’t do anything since the suite is owned and managed by a differe

Housekeeping reported today that the toilets are working fine and that the issues reported are because the guest(s) did not hold down the flush lever for enough duration to create an adequate flush. 3. The dryer vent is not connected in any way to the AC vents which means it is a physical impossibility that dryer heat be extruded from the AC vents. The dryer was tested and is in working order. 4. The voltage to the unit normal and it is possible that the guest(s) are unfamiliar with light output from dimmable LED lights. The lamp in the living room is also associated with a wall switch. When Guest Services was not made aware of any issues until the day of check-out. Dispatch time is 20 minutes or less for housekeeping issues and 2 hours or less for maintenance issues.

We had problems with the door lock since no key would open, a problem that was reported several times, they came to check it and they did not find the cause of the problem, they told us that the solution would be to change our room but that the hotel did not have capacity. We had to separate into groups and one group had to lock themselves in the room and the other leave because they never came or fixed the lock or offered us any solution to the problem when we went to complain to the hotel they told us that since we had rented with a third party rental website and they couldn't do anything. I do not recommend this hotel since they do not take responsibility for their problems . They charge for parking and umbrellas also

Anyone representing hospitality gave great service. The rooms, the staff, the pool, the outside tiki area & the view of the beach from the room was awesome & beautiful. Our stay was very memorable.
