Lourine the philipino frontliner is the spoiler to this hotel”
This was my 1st time 2 Brunei & Palm Garden Hotel. I was super excited 2 c the culture in Brunei&adoring the Sultan so much in administering the most Harmonic Muslim Country...d best ever in Asia.. but this Lourine.. the philipino..d foreign in Brunei.. has treated Muslims..me&my hubby like a bagger.During chk-in, d reception said d hotel providing transportation anywhere nearby. It was Friday&we reached d hotel @about 11.45am. There was a muslim hotel's driver said that there is a mosque nearby just about 5min walking distance 4 Friday prayer. After chcked-in, my hubby took a walk to d mosque in a very2 hot sunny day but it was actually>30min walking@3km return (this has caused foot cramp to him for 2days). back 2 hotel d friendly chinese ladies reception has appologies him&said that d hotel providing transfer 2 nearby places...it went well after that but a day before chck out..d lourine has denied it&we waited>1.5hrs after d driver promised 2 pick us..thus, we walked@2km bck 2 hotel.

Gym is Superb / Energy Kitchen 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼”
I thought that the value for your money in this hotel is absolutely a five-star. The room is fine, quite spacious, with everything that you need in it. Plus the hotel is only a walking distance to a supermarket and very near to Bolkiah Mosque, which is a good one. I also got to avail for free its airport transfer. (Note: Brunei's taxis are rare and expensive.) You would love it even more if you happen to be a health buff, coz its gym is just superb. I relish its Energy Kitchen for a guilt-free eating after hitting d gym. I guess the reception area only needs an improvement. I also couldn't sleep well one night coz there was a loud music playing outside. Wasn't sure where it was coming from. The staff, however, are nice. Overall, I enjoyed my stay in this hotel.

Will never consider it again”
Very very poor internet connection; pool under maintenance (but seems not). The only good thing are the staff: Lorin, Jake and Joan, who are also Filipinos.

Very helpful staff”
Provided free transport into & from the city (to the money changers, and picked us up again 3 hours later). Intermittent internet access in the room (frustrating) but available from a comfy lounge chair at the lifts. Lots of food options (including the night market) within easy walking distance - recommend the BND5 buffet above the Japanese restaurant over the road from the hotel.
