Gem of a place...Far from Pier if you don't drive a scooter”
My husband and I were over the moon to find this gem of a place as we travelled through Prachuap Khiri Khan on our way down south. So please with the place...especially for the price. Only thing that may be an issue for some is the location - it's far from the beach and pier which is pretty much the main strip of activity in the town so best to stay here only if you are happy to drive a scooter (with they have for rent at only 150 Baht!) We arrived from the train late at night and the hotel is a good 20 minute walk in the dark from the train station to best to grab a tuk tuk if you find yourself in the same situation. I had only booked our room 30 mins before via Agoda but upon arrival this was no issue and we were shown several rooms to choose from. We chose one upstairs and one downstairs seemed to have a slight damp smell but the one we stayed in was absolutely fine. The hotel is essentially a large villa that has been converted into a small hotel and during our time there the reception was always manned by one thai lady who had perfect English or a second thai lady who has almost no english, however was always extremely friendly. nothing was too much trouble and we had a few giggles as we tried to communicate together. Rooms were super clean and free wifi worked perfectly. Approx 10 min drive on scooter to the beach. Highly recommend a visit to the temple on the hill in the centre of town which is inhabited by monkeys!

Really Comfortable”
I stopped in this small city on my way to Krabi and regretted not having planned a couple more days here. Prachuap Khiri Khan is a small place with a paradise beach and the hotel Palm Sweet was really nice and comfortable, I felt like I could stay there for three days or more easily.

Nice place, great price ”
Beautiful time there. Didn't expect much, since we didn't know anything at all about prachuap nor the palm sweet. You get a lot for so little money. Even breakfast was free (fruits, cakes, toast, butter, marmelade, coffee, tea) although we didn't know it. An extra set of all these things would be about 15 baht per person.. Nice bbq restaurant on the same road. Just cross the railway station right on arrival, then you're already on the right road to the hotel. There are markets and shops all around, whole area rather cheap compared to the tourism places. Go look for the monkeys in wing 5,they are just lovely! Beaches are nothing special, the landscape just is. Would definitely stay there again, since everybody always looked after us. The owner even called us upon check-out, asking if we need anything or want a private transfer to the train station. Coffee and tea free all day. Just nothing bad to say at all.

Favourite stay in Thailand”
After 4 days in Bangkok and a disappointing stay in Petchaburi The Palm Sweet was a welcome change. Not far from the train station. (Even closer if you know where the river bridge is) The Palm Sweet is not far 5mins from the centre / seafront via very reasonable bike hire prices. Prachua in October is quiet enough that you could probably teach yourself to ride a moped without too much danger. The staff, esp. the owner were brilliant, giving me a guide to local sights and teaching me a little basic Thai to be getting on with. The room was exactly what I needed. Well priced, clean and comfortable. Laundry is available too and the wifi is stable and a good speed. There's s nice little restaurant / cafe if you're willing to brave the wary Thai mutts once night falls and there's the ubiquitous 7-11 with ATM at the bottom of the road. Breakfast is in the form of toast and coffee. I added an extra day to be away from the general clamour and found a nice Italian restaurant halfway to the sea. They're building a couple of self catering cabins at the back so I could easily be tempted back to this quiet little spot. If you're after a cool down after the big cities then this a good spot. There's enough to do to tide you over 4 - 5 days and makes a perfect base for the solo traveler.

holiday ”
Another enjoyable holiday in Prachuap made even better with my hotel stay at The Palm Sweet. This time On the owner put me in one of the garden rooms that also have there own sitting rooms on suite. I have stayed here in the past so new of the proximity to the railway & its passing train noise but this time it was a noise free experience.

Wonderful!”
I have to say that I loved this hotel! Although it's not close to the beach, Prachuap is a small town and it takes no more than 10 minutes walk to reach tha sea. The hotel is very tastefully furnished and decorated with a nice mix of vintage and contemporary items. The hall and even the corridors clearly show the owner's love for vintage objects and furniture. The staffs were kind and helpful and the room was comfortable and equipped with fridge, satellite tv, wifi, and a comfortable bed. The only thing that should be improved a bit is the toilet's layout. Anyway, I recommend this hotel to anyone that is heading to Prachuap Kirikan!

Lovely little hotel”
We so enjoyed our stay at Palm Sweet Hotel. It is tastefully decorated and well maintained. On, the owner, goes out of her way to look after your needs. It was in a quiet neighborhood, but just a brief walk to the city centre. Try to get a room in the back as the rooms facing the street are effected by the trains through the night. We surely will, recommend this place. It is probably one of the best hotels we have stayed in in Asia. We plan to return to spend a longer time next time we are in Asia.

A friendly, affordable and good location ”
This is a very nice mid budget hotel. The owner, Ohn and her staff especially Newt were both first class. The service was outstanding. The room was clean and well maintained. If I wanted to order food they brought it to my room. The hotel is about 2 kilometers from the beach in a quieter neighborhood. They offer motorbikes and bikes for rent. They had free breakfast items every day. I was just very pleased with the overall service and friendliness. I highly recommend this place and I travel a lot. I have also been to Prachuap Khirikhan quit a bit and for the money this hotel cannot be beat.

Great value in a lovely seaside town”
We initially booked for three nights but extended our stay to six as we fell in love with Prachuap. The hotel was perfect for us, quiet location, helpful staff and a clean, comfortable room. We enjoyed eating breakfast in the little garden area and meeting other guests. We hired a motorbike from the hotel to explore the area but you can easily walk or cycle to the beach and town centre.

Excellent, value for money, clean and quiet ”
Excellent service at the Palm Sweet Hotel. Friendly staff with good english. The owner is very helpful and kind. The hotel is clean , quiet and well serviced. About 5 minutes walk from railway station, 10 minutes walk to bus for Bangkok and 10 minutes walk to sea front. You will not do better for value for money. Would definitely stay here again.

Good hotel with wonderful staff.”
I really liked Palm Sweet Hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful (but not all of them speak English). My room was awesome (very clean, nice decor, good bed, strong A/C, etc). The place had a home sort of feeling and most of the other guests seemed to be staying for awhile, so I got to know the other "residents" a bit. I myself ended up staying an extra 4 days beyond my original booking. There are only two potential downsides. First, the location isn't the best. It is a bit of a walk to the central part of town, and even more of a walk to the beach boardwalk. There are not really any restaurants or convenience stores nearby. However, they have bicycles and rent good quality motorbikes. I went the motorbike route and was very happy with it. The second potential downside is that some rooms don't really have a window, so if that is important to you, then be sure to request it. Overall, this place is great and I would recommend it to anyone who is ok with the location.

Homely hotel with free bicycles”
I really enjoyed my 3 night stay here. The Palm Sweet is on the other side of the railway track. To access the beach you need to have transport as it is a long way to walk. However the Palm Sweet has a collection of good quality bicycles which you can just help yourself to. I loved having the freedom to cycle everywhere. There is a light at the back for when it gets dark. The owner of the hotel speaks English and she is very pleasant and attentive. She made some phone calls for me and arranged for my washing to be done. This hotel is very clean and pleasant. There is free coffee available. I recommend this hotel. It is extremely good value for money.

Lovely place to stsy”
Interesting, unique garden area to relax in. Friendly place to stay. I only had a few days to spare -hopefully next time I can stay longer. Thank you to the owner for taking me & a few others out to dinner one evening. It was appreciated as a solo traveller. Lots of tasty snacks for breakfast. Highly recommended & in a great location, close to beautiful Prachuap coastline.

A nice hotel I would book again”
The Palm Sweet was a nice place to stay. The rooms are modern, clean and everything works in them. Great English TV channels, good free WIFI, complimentary water, nice free coffee and continental breakfast in the lobby, and friendly staff. It will take you 10 minutes to walk to the beach but you get quiet in return...except for the occasional train going by. It's very near the railroad tracks. We found 2 small walking bridges across the canal. From the train station head south, one is halfway down the open air market buildings and the other is further down just before you get to the second set of buildings that have small store fronts. If you're near the hospital, you're close to this one and it's closest to the hotel. Look for the passage opening in the short picket fence.

relaxed, friendly, comfortable”
This was my 2nd stay at Palm Sweet and it was even better this time, as I got to sample the breakfast! The manager is very nice and speaks English, the place is pretty and laid back, with all the basics available, including bikes for 30 BHT a day. Forme, the location is good, near enough when using the bike to everywhere. With a good price for the services, I'd say it is value for money and I plan on returning. If you want a nice coffee break, I recommend a little place called Hachi, where you'll get fresh homemade bread, CDs and coffee! The owners speak English and the vibe is lovely. They sell/repair/rent bikes too!(located on the next road parallel to/behind the sea front about the same level as Palmsweet)

Cosy, friendly and generous”
A very nice stay! This hotel lived up to the saying "Pronmise half - deliver double". It said "no breakfast included" but really - there was a great complimentary breakfast (no hot food)with coffee, tea, sandwiches, fruit and the owner often brought fresh fruit during the day. Close to the railway station, five minutes walk to the promenade and city center. Free use of bicycles, good rooms, clean and friendly, what more is there to ask for?

Stay near trainstation for next trip.”
We just stayed one night. It is very near the trainstation, we could even walk. In the evening we bpught traintickets (bring passport if you need!!) and visited the cosy nightmarket. The hotel is currently under renovation, but that was not a problem. Rooms: We booked for three, but the extra matrass is vwry thin ( Thai style). It is better to book a second room (price ia low, so...) They have thee, cakes and you can make aome toast with jam. They don't mind if you take something drom outaide to eat. Recommended for short stay. They have a map of town and you can even book snorkelling-daytrip from here. The lady is nice and helpful, other ataff are eztremely quiet.

A fabulous place to stay!”
We had a fantastic time here during our 13 night stay. Oun looked after us all so well. The rooms are lovely and she even provides toast, fruit and sweet treats for breakfast. Location is great with bike and scooter hire too if you need it. We will definitely be coming back as this is a real gem of a place - fantastic value for money too.

Great value hotel, convenient and quiet location”
The staff were very friendly and went the extra mile to make our stay comfortable. The rooms and common area were spotless. The hotel is not on the beach, but if you have a scooter or bike (which you can borrow for free from the hotel), pretty much the entire town is within easy reach. The room we stayed in had no windows though the room was a good size, so didn't feel closed in. Also stayed in another room (just booked it there, as they save some rooms for walk-ins), which had windows but was in front, facing the train tracks so was a little noisy. We were warned by the staff, but it really wasn't that bad.

Small but clean, friendly staff”
I enjoyed staying at The palm sweet. Everything was very clean and the staff and the owner are lovely but their english isn't good at all, but they try. If you rent a motorbike like we did then this is a great place to stay, a bit far from the lovely beach at Wing 5 but close to the railway station the trains are a bit noisy but that did not effect our sleep at all.
