Visit to Palm Village Resort in April 2017”
Lovely place to stay in a quiet village location about 15 mins by tuk-tuk from the centre of town. Staff speak good English and are very helpful, food was very good with generous portions for breakfast. Pool and grounds lovely. Arranged take out breakfast for us for a 5am start for AW at sunrise. Recommended.

Wooden House
Stayed 1 night in January 2017
After staying in a 5 star resort, this was the place my family loved most of all! We stayed in the wooden house, which is basic but very comfortable. Staff and owner/manager were very friendly, as were the family dogs which made our daughter feel right at home. Meals were delicious and the laid back atmosphere of the place made us feel very relaxed. There was a huge assortment of butterflies about the gardens and lots of frogs at night. The place may look a little tired/dated, but this is more authentic Cambodia. We had the manager organise a driver for us to head to more distant temples and had our tuk tuk driver for around town. It's a great location down some sandy laneways and you really feel like you're IN Cambodia. This was indeed our favourite accommodation. The pool was a welcomed relief for the kids who needed a break from the humidity and temple overload. Very accommodating staff and we can't recommend this place highly enough. Clearly a place of relaxation and no hurry.

Great low-key, 3-star bungalow resort with lush tropical landscaping and a small pool, half way from temples and downtown Siem Reap.

poor room, the hotel is in the nowhere”
Despite all great pictures, the bungalow was very poor. With garden view, but the windows can not be opened, so the air inside is very bad (with outside temp of 35). The room was not clean. The hotel is far from the city and in the evening it is getting scary to go outside. Anyways, the staff was friendly

Fabulous retreat from hectic Siem Reap”
Palm Village is lovely! Set away from town, in quiet garden surrounds, perfect place to rest after a long day of temple hopping. Cheap tuk tuks and staff super helpful in helping he solo traveller to squeeze in all the sites. Good spa experiences; food here could use a little lift (or, with the affordable tuk tuks and accomodating drivers, go somewhere else! If you're a vegetarian, Chamkar House isn't too far and is DELISH!)
