Been here fifty times daytripping but this time we spent 4 great days at Palmas. 4 pools + 2 kiddie pools with an ocean view!! Great food a little pricey but delicious. Great staff, excellent service. Rooms are a little dated but clean and spacious! pools are clean and well maintained.

Location is far from Bacolos downtown. Room is a bit pricey and with no breakfast included. This is actually a resort. View is nice tho.

We enjoyed our stay, especially the night swimming. The resorts pool facility is a little bit worn out and needs updating. The location is secluded you need to drive to city proper 10-20 min away to buy food, the streets are crowded with vehicles parked on both sides of the road. Our car had a big scratch on Right back passenger door, not sure whether from hotel parking or driving through narrow streets outside of the hotel. A good place to unwind.
We always stay in Palmas whenever we are in Philippines and it never disappoint us yet. Staff are friendly and helpful that my kids started calling them as their friend 😀!!! Rooms are good but the one that attracts my kids the most are their 4 swimming pool.

We arrived early morning (around 6:00AM) in Bacolod, flying from Manila. The standard hotel check-in is at 2:00PM, knowing this, I emailed the hotel a few days prior to request for an early check-in time. As a traveler, I know that early check-ins would either get you to shell out some extra money or you get it for free at a designated time. When the hotel replied, the cleared the room a day prior to make sure that it is available by the time we check-in. The cost of the request? FREE. Yep, FREE! So we checked-in at 7:00AM and checked-out the following day at 4:00PM, with no additional cost -- except for the beer we ordered. In normal occasions, the time we have spent in the hotel requires us to book for two nights already... but it wasn't the case! Really, happy! And oh, we got a room with access to the Mediterranean Pool. Aaaaahhhhhhh best overnight stay ever!!!!!!!!!! Thank you, Palmas!
i love the place its near the downtown. the hotel area is safe you can walk inside the subdivision and the hotel staff's are very nice and approachable. the swimming pool is very big and its nice to bring friends to go along with you talking beside the pool and having a drink its a very wonderful experience.
We enjoyed our stay although on the third day,it rains a lot! fine and delicious foods from the hotel served with greetings,It was my birthday and my mother's birthday that we celebrated in this resort,we are so enjoyed ,we are looking forward returning again next years! thanks !

Had a great experienced and enjoyed the stay. The kids are also enjoyed with a huge pool. Very nice location since its near in the seaside. 24 hours security guards for the safety of their guests. Very convenient because there is there a restaurant & bar in front of the pool.
Palmas del Mar is suitable for family outing over the weekend. It has better choices of rooms to offer. We occupied junior suite fronting the pool. My kids enjoyed a lot in the pool and also the available foods they can offer. The rooms are also wifi accessible so you can chat & update your facebook!

Never would give me a receipt for my stay!!! I booked a room and canceled it to chance dates but they never changed my booking and charged me for 2 rooms any!!!!!@@@ They did send me a email of a double booking the day of the 2nd booking just 2hrs before arriving to the Hotel!!! This was the worst Hotel/Resort experience I've ever encountered in 40yrs.!!! The phone was broken and I had to go to the front desk 4 times and when room service came out, they said it was broken! I said REALLY! That's why I went to the front desk 4 time! It took 2 days to get a phone! The bathroom was dirty and had black mold!!!! They stole my money for charging for a double booking and never returned my money or offered any compensation and very rude!!@@ WARNING STAY AWAY!!!!]

Staff are not welcoming and friendly. Needs to improve on client -staff rapport. WIFI is terribly poor, i wasnt able to access at all during our 1 night of stay. Housekeeping are friendly and approachable esp mention to Larry and Joseph who cater our needs while preparing our boodle fight for late lunch. They have a very poor water supply Pool needs to clean more often for sanitation and hygiene of the user. Somehow Palmas Del Mar is a safe and quite place for vacation coz its within the private residential /subdivision.

Some rooms needs refurbishment; one staff rude”
We stayed here for 5 days. During our first night we were in first floor and the room was so old and desperately needed refurbishment. Hence, i booked a different room the next consecutives days which much better & cleaner. Housekeeping staff were friendly & helpful. Some staff who were in charge of cleaning the pool did not do their job properly. In one occasion the pool was left dirty & filled with floating leaves from the trees. At some point they were also harvesting coconut fruits from trees while we were swimming. We needed to stop as we felt it was not safe especially to children whose with me at that time. Most of the staff in the reception are friendly & helpful except for that lady named “ Donnie” whom i caught making faces when she disagreed that i will be given discount as i had 8 guests who visited me in one night. Although not all of them used the pool, but i paid for their entrance anyway. That “Donnie” should not be working in a customer service!!!-Earlash.UK

I was disgusted with the room and refused to stay another night.was full of ants and wasps the shower had no pressure at all it was dusty and dirty and was not even the room I booked.i asked for the remaining nights to be refunded and the manager kept avoiding to pay us she kept just going around in circles.she said it was not there problem to pay us we have to speak to adoga.i am in the process of lodging a complaint and will be asking for a full refund to adoga.please provide to me on how we must do this? I am severely annoyed that after a 14hour trip to there from Australia to have to rest in a place not fit for an animal to stay let alone my family a 11mth old daughter my 12 ur old daughter my wife and her elderly mother of 70yrs old. regards Edwin Taylor

I would to commend JESSICA of the front desk for hr exceptional service. My husband failed to inform me that he had a coffee at the bar and we checkout without knowing we still have bar fees. It was an honest mistake. Jessica paid for it. It was for 30pesos but she said she will just pay from her pocket. I explained that we live far from the resort and we will just pay when we come back but she said nevermind... I will always remember you Jessica, not just for paying the 30pesos but for thinking about the customers first! Thank You.

I expected it to be 4 star but it's not to my dismay. Except for the resto waiter that evening we arrived Raymond I guess, other services is very mediocre. The room lacked cleaning and there's not even a complementary drinking water and many more. There's problem in management I guess. Facilities needs to be upgraded

Still had the best experience except the tv we had in our room, it's not working. Still it's okay as it wasn't the one we came for. Must have been better only to have something more to entertain he kids. Will be back again.

Room Our bathroom drain was clogged. Cannot connect to WiFi Phone/Internet Singal not good Cannot bring food from outside No free breakfast Location Far from the City proper. No taxi around. You need to have your own car to get there. Or if you're a foreigner or living away from Negros Island you need to rent a car. Pool Island Pool is very dirty. There's a lot of leaves, dead insects and worms in the pool. But we had no choice because my 3 y/o daughter really wanted to swim. Badly need a heavy maintenance. PROS Peaceful and quite Accommodating Staff Nice View from our room From the rating of 1-10, I give 5.

Pros: -good hospitality -prompt service - (4) pools to enjoy -quiet, security on premises Cons: -wifi unstable -a bit away from main street. -Did not have breakfast included. - (1) restaurant on resort, while food v. good, wish there were more options
the room quite small. stained toilet bowl, poor tv cable signal, no toiletries provided, no complimentary drinks like water and coffee, you need to ask for water from the front desk. there's a corkage for every food that you wish to bring in your room. i will not recommend this hotel
