I was at the Palmers Lodge Hillspring at Willesden Green for 10 days, and I would highly recommend for those who are traveling in London with budget in mind to stay at this place. It is value for money, located strategically to Underground station, bus stops to easily access to anywhere in London. I was staying at the 14-bed room for female only and everyone was respectful of each other and keep the place clean and dont make too much noise in the room. The room was located at the ground floor and the shower at the lower ground floor. The bathroom and toilets are spacious and clean. The daily breakfast was amazing - freshly baked croissant, toasted bread, butter, jem, juices, tea, coffee machine and green apple. There's a kitchen for guests to use and cook - with cooker, over, microwave, fridge and you can get the pots and pans from the reception. There's a lounge with TV and sofas, pool table, pingpong table, and a bar for guests to enjoy themselves. I highly recommend it!!!!

I have been a regular Solo guest for approx 3 Year's to the PALMERS LODGE, Willesden i have always been looked after by all the marvellous friendly hard-working Staff at the Lodge, which is most Appreciated over these year's a big thank you to all the Staff at PALMERS LODGE ~ I am delighted to see the new "concept" modernising the building especially the Toilet & Shower facilities. Very nice > I'm always very keen to return to the very welcoming, safe,warm environment of PALMERS LODGE which feels like Home from Home to me ! I am always telling friends & work Colleague's about my stay. The Management i'm delighted are moving in the right direction with the renovating & ideas. This lodge really recommended. Easy excess by public transport. Simple breakfast is provided . My family really enjoy staying at Palmers Lodge. Shared kitchen is available. No towel provided but u can rent with a cost of GBP1.50 per towel. Even NO HALAL FOOD around that area. It doesn't matter to us since we make sure to take dinner before we come back. The nearest underground station is Willesden Green. You can also take a bus to Oxford Street which is really-really convenience. Just cross the street and wait for the bus number 98 towards Holborn and the bus will take you to Oxford Street via Edgware Road & Marble Arch. The staffs are very helpful. Luggage storage facilities also available and is FREE.

Great facilities (plentiful too) Well maintained, always clean, maintenance staff on hand to keep everything in working order Great staff- friendly, courteous, and helpful Great sized dorm rooms, great comfy custom-made beds/bunks Can't complain cuz I couldn't find anything to complain about! I stayed in the 10 bed mixed dorm for a week in London. The room was spacious, and each bed had personal reading light and power points, which is convenient for every occupant of the room. The croissant served for breakfast is really good, though it'll be great if we could opt for two croissants for those who don't want toast. Nevertheless, the toasts are free flow and that's pretty much what I needed to start my day :D I am grateful to Kevin, the friendly receptionist who attended to my questions and requests during my stay at Palmers Hillspring Lodge. Thank you! The toilets and shower rooms are clean and spacious with ample room. The hostel is labout 5 mins walk from Willesden Green Underground (Tube) station and there's a Costa Coffee and local Sainsbury nearby this station should you need a coffee fix in the morning and/or grocery shopping on the way out to the city or back to the hostel.

Nice Weekend Away”
We visited Palmers Lodge Hillspring earlier in the year and enjoyed our stay, this time we stayed in the suites and it was a great choice. Palmers Lodge Hillspring has some great staff, very helpful and who seem to keep the place running very smoothly. The breakfast choice is perhaps the only downside and an increase in variety would probably help this. All in all it's a good place to stay with friendly staff and a great atmosphere.

Have stayed here a few times for weekends in London, and will use this place again in future. If you're a solo traveller or group of friends not wanting to pay London hotel prices, and you don't mind sharing a dorm, this place is a really good alternative. Curtained bunk beds make for a good level of privacy even in a large dorm. Bring a lock for the storage locker under your bed. Showers and toilet areas are very clean. Willesden Green tube station is only 10 minutes or so away on foot. There is a large communal area with plenty of seating, a bar and pool and table tennis tables.

Great breakfast. There're croissant, toast, cereal, milk, juice, coffee and water. the room is quite big toilets are very clean. There's a kitchen which does get pretty crowded during meal time and after dinner. Wifi is strong, even if accessed inside the room. The washer and dryer in the delicated room . reasonable price for laundry The hostel is located in a quiet good neighbourhood, the level of security to enter the hostel pleasantly surprised me. It's a very safe place. Willesden Green is right at the end of zone 2 by metro. Overall it's highly value for money if you are looking for budget accomodations. Personally, I would pick this hostel again over airbnb/hotel

Awesome breakfast. There's croissant, toast, cereal, milk, juice, coffee and fruit. The bed, shower and toilet are very clean. There's a kitchen which does get pretty crowded during meal time and after dinner. A 5pound deposit is required to rent pot/pan from the front desk. Wifi is strong, even if accessed inside the room. The washer and dryer in the delicated room beside the kitchen looks old and dirty so we didn't attempt to do any laundry there. The hostel is located in a quiet neighbourhood, the level of security to enter the hostel pleasantly surprised me. It's a very safe place. Willesden Green is right at the end of zone 2 by metro. Isn't as conveninent compared to staying in places like St Partrick's but still pretty accessible. Overall it's highly value for money if you are looking for budget accoms. Personally, I would pick this hostel again over airbnb/hotel.

Really great place to stay”
That was really great. I just stay one night. I choose that hostel because it was not so far of Wembley arena (I went for a concert)and he seems great in pictures. That's the truth. It's not very far of the centrum either (20 min with the tube). The dorms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The environment is also great. I recommend that hostel (and the other one : palmers lodge swiss cottage).

Clean, welcoming and convenient-ish to central London”
Willesden Green is sort of off the beaten track for a hostel, and that is just fine by me! The place is clean, welcoming, reasonably quiet, and a comfortable walk or bus ride from the Tube. Breakfast could be heartier, toast and jam is not enough. I do wish there were more segregated dorm rooms and showers, as I prefer an all-female dorm and facilities. Staff was friendly and helpful, and the place was clean. Good place, overall.

The staff there are really nice and helpful. Given the price you paid the facilities are fair. There are lockers in the room (you have to buy a lock for £4). Probably because I stayed at a female-only room so generally it's quiet. But the room is next to the washroom so it was a little bit noisy when people kept drying their hands. It would be better if they have quiet hours and advise people not to use the dryer after 11pm/ midnight. Sometimes hot water run out and you might have to go to another floor to have a shower. Not too far so it's fine. Those who have a lot of luggage should note that there is no lift in the nearest underground station (i.e. Willesden Green) so you have to carry all your belongings up/down the staircase.

Pleasant stay in Palmers Lodge in London”
I had a very pleasant stay at the Palmers Lodge in London due to the hostel's high security, hygiene, free wifi, convenient location and good public transport system nearby. The room could be a little bit bigger though in order, e.g. to dry your wet towels and clothes after washing, as well as quieter at night due to an old and noisy lift.

Palmers Hillspring didn't have the most convenient location, but for the price it is a good location. The food was very delicious and very cheap. Good as a place to stay for a few nights. Showers were a bit finicky.

Travel detail: Traveled with 2 friends in London, booked the 10-bed mixed dorm for 11.70 per person. Checking in: Having read some reviews and an option in the hostel website, we planned to check in at 10 am. I emailed the hostel earlier, stating my plan and got their reply as well. However, when we got there, apparently the receptionist said that the earliest check-in is at 2 pm and he wasn't really helpful nor friendly either. Luckily there was a luggage storage room so my friend (who was bringing big luggage for his trip back home) can rent one before going out. Room: got the basement room B03. It was directly beside the luggage storage room and the laundrette; I expected noisy nights and got a bit bummed because of it. Apparently later on at night, although there was some noise of the door closing outside, it is not much of a problem. Going inside the room, it was kinda smelly at first but there was an air freshener so it's not much of a problem too. There is also a tiny window in the room so that the air circulates. Bed: mattress was really comfortable, I had a nice sleep. The curtain in every bed is also amazing, it gives more sense of security and privacy. There is also a locker under the bed. They have a power socket as well but remember to bring your travel adapter if you're not from the UK. Bathroom: very, very clean. The female bathroom on the basement has 3 toilets and 3 showers. It's a bit dim at the showers. There is also a hairdryer, which was handy.

Very accommodating hostel!”
My stay at Palmers was satisfying. The staff was great and helpful, and reception was 24-hour. I liked that there was free breakfast until 10am, even though it was the same range offered every day. Clean showers and rooms, and lockers in rooms to keep belongings in. There were also nice communal areas you could chill in, like the library - with a book exchange(!) and heaps of couches - and the TV area of the restaurant/bar. In my opinion, the price per night was reasonable, considering London is generally expensive in terms of accommodation. The only downside would be it was a bit far from the city centre, and you'd have to spend a bit of time on trains getting to and from major landmarks or shopping areas.
