We arrived in Panaji during a public holiday, so unfortunately everything was closed. Luckily, Mateus guesthouse offered a relaxing, clean, cool, and well-presented base to chill out and acclimatise to India. Our room and bathroom had some attractive design touches - as did the rest of the property - the air conditioning worked extremely well (a necessity in 40-degree ...

if you are staying in panaji, stay here! it is excellent and worth it. however, the wifi is a bit of a trouble because only 1 person is allowed to access it at one time and inconvenient since 2 of us need to use it to contact home or use it to book our next hotels etc. overall, it is still very clean and nice, staff are friendly and helpful. there is a nice shirt shop ...

Superb hotel with great staff. Special mention to Himanshu the restaurant manager. Great customer service skill!!!! Other staff both reception and orchid restaurant very very good and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel. Only negative it's a bit far from baga calangute area. Clean room, nice new hotel. I had a great stay.

Guest house location is great for visiting the original part of panaji and close to jetty with some good restaurants/bars close by. Area comes to life at night. Accomodation is small but functional - booked a room to accomodate 3 but given a double which was tight. Plug points in poor positions for charging mobile ect so small shelves would help. Room was not cleaned ...

We can highly recommend this homestay. The owner was one in a million, genuinely friendly, informative and helpful. The rooms are all independently accessed but part of an old Portuguese house with loads of character. Nice quiet area of Panaji by a tree lined garden square. Great food options nearby and local wine/beer shops too! Also close to sea, market, town etc. Br...

Check-in at Park Plaza was quick. I was ushered to the room which had a queen bed with white, clean sheets and quilt and pillows. Room has a 32" LCD TV, although the quality of channel services has scope for improvement. Casinos are at a walking distance too... So, in all Park Plaza is a good, affordable option for someone staying in central Panaji.

I loved my stay here in Panaji. Royal Phoenix Inn is located in a quiet backstreet right next to the Hanuman Temple and backing on to the forest on Panajis hillside. The centre of town can be reached by a pleasant 30min walk over the hill and the bus station is only 15min walk away across the river. The rooms are beautifully and minimally decorated in Moorish-style and...

The neighbourhood is quiet and nice to walk through for a stroll. The nearby grocery shops have all you need. The old quarter itself has super friendly and helpful staff. Dont miss out on their coffee which is the best I had in whole Goa and India. The place is great to meet other travelers. Breakfast is delicious and the whole place looks really nice.

Rooms & washrooms were clean ! but everything else is a minus point for La Capitol. Staffs were very unfriendly. When I came back to hotel & it was raining - restaurant was closed at 6 PM. No staff can be sent out to buy some food nor they can speak english. A staff lied to me as if he went out to check any shops were there & told everything was closed. I had to person...

Location is good. Right in the old quarter. I stayed during monsoon season, mid- July for three nights. I had a small single room. Great wi-fi connection in my room. My room faced St. Sebastian Road and it was lovely to hear the singing from the old church just at the end of the street early Sunday morning from my window. I only ate breakfast there. Good coffe but the...

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel, even to the point of extending it to a third night. The room was great- comfortable bed, clean and well appointed bathroom and solid breakfast. Best of all, Roy, the owner was on hand with great, objective advice. Thoroughly recommended.

Very nice and good place, with good rooms, very much neat and clean. staff was very very good, near to all major restaurants in Panaji, near to market. The restaurant was very good, neat and clean with delicious breakfast. was a very very good and pleasant stay.

this was my third stay at the vivanta hotel, panaji and was as nice as my previous two stays. staff are attentive, without being intrusive or over-fussy. the hotel is a modern hotel, with a great roof-top pool and terrace area, comfortable bedrooms and a nice variety of places to eat. although not right on the river front, it is close to the centre of panaji.

the hotel palacio de goa. is a perfect place in the heart of panjim. it is slightly back from june 18th road so is easy to find but also very quiet location. the hotel is old but has been modernised very tastfully and is fresh ans exceptionally clean and bright. but the best feature apart from the great breakfast, many dishes to choose from and all hot, a trribute...

Our stay was very short (just a night) but it was good and comfortable. Since our plan was spend most of our time that day at the casino so there was no point in booking a luxury hotel and that is where this hotel fits best. I would recommend it to people who dont want to spend much but still want a decent place.

It is one of the most memorable hotel stays I have ever had. The hotel is very quaint and has retained the decor of the old days. It felt really nostalgic staying in my beautiful room and spacious room. As if i had been transported back to the colonial days!
