Not a bad experience
clean, good location, friendly staff
The hotel is not bad and is well maintained but there is no business center, they put plastic rubberized sheets on the mattress and blankets so you will sweat terribly, and they have recently boosted the prices for laundry so they will gouge you there.

Clean & friendly staff. However, not so conveniet
Clean, friendly staff and city view
So far is on. Few friends do not know how to go to the hotel, eventhough they are local Myanmar people. Anyway, it is ok in general.

Clean, comfortable, no frill, don't expect more
Clean room, nice view of the adjacent view, friendly staff
The location is nice and quiet - about 1500 Kyat cab fee to get to the middle of downtown. Avoid taxis that are parked across from the hotel as they tend to overcharge. The room is clean, good sized, and comfortable. The staff are friendly like most places. But forget about any additional requests as they tend to fall on deaf ears. The last time I stayed here, I asked the front desk to send someone to fix the dripping AC and no one came. This time, I asked the front desk to send someone to fix a loose electrical outlet (unusable and probably dangerous) and no one came. If any of these things happen to you, it is best to insist on changing your room altogether. In any case, these problems should be fixed during maintenance in the first place. These problems just indicate poor maintenance and hence poor management. The hotel is old and dated, but it is still better than most dilapidated hotels in Yangon. They are all overpriced anyway. To be practical, just choose to the least bad and least unreasonably priced hotels . One redeeming point for Panda: the internet has been reliable and fast enough for basic things you do on the internet (email, facebook, website, etc - forget about watching youtube video though).

Quick visit to check out Burma
Staff were friendly
This is an old hotel and falls behind Thailand but the staff and the breakfast was good. Clean and adequate for our needs. Taxis are ruff and ready but get you were you want to go.

very mediocre
rooms are very large
This hotel is poorly located and rooms, while large, are rundown. The food is awful and there are no decent restaurants in the vicinity.
