Since the transfer of Airport to Panglao it made accessibility quite expensive and time consuming. They are charging airport transfer 1000.00 pesos
Booked a room that was not offered, and still originally charged for that room, had to have front desk refund the difference. Bathroom door had mould growing on it, and lots of ants.
Very good location but not so nice room”
Located right at the heart of Tagbilaran. Their food looks great but didn't have the time since checked in late night to get some sleep to catch an early flight back to manila. Room is not well lit and restroom got an odd smell and leak. Good for backpackers since room is cheap and very accessible location.
Nice boutique hotel near Tagbilaran airport. I appreciate the early check-in without charges. Staff are good and welcoming to guest. Met the owner and she was very accommodating. Room is spacious with cool airconditioning. Toilet door would not close probably due to the earthquake few years back. Bidet was a surprise. They have a generator in response to the power outage from Leyte quake. Would welcome toiletries aside from toothbrush and paste. Bed is firm and pillow soft. Their restaurant offers tasty and reasonably priced food with good serving size. Near main road. Water pressure good but takes time to warm. Value for money if you do not mind taking the stairs.
I will always choose this hotel whenever in Bohol”
I went to Tagbilaran with 2 friends and we stayed at MetroCentre Hotel. This is one of the more upscale hotels in the city. Since they will be leaving the next day and I will be left alone in Bohol for 2 more nights, we looked for a budget hotel/inn where I can stay. We canvassed 2 to 3 hotels around a budget of less than 1000 pesos a night and all the choices we had were terrible. We went to Panda Tea Garden Suites, we were so happy because the rooms were almost the same quality of that of MetroCentre Hotel. I am very very satisfied with my stay here, considering the very ugly hotels and inns of the same price. It's also a five minute walk away from the biggest mall in Bohol, Island City Mall or more commonly referred to as ICM. I will definitely book this hotel again!
The staff was friendly and helpful. Areas were nice and clean. The only issue was the size of the beds in the dorm. I'm 5'8 and my feet would just hang off the side and into the face of a dorm mate which was a bit annoying. Other than that, the staff was super friendly.
Not worth it at all.”
I chose a Deluxe, which was more expensive than nearly every place in the city. Deluxe it was not! The sink leaked in the bathroom, the beds were too small and there was a dead bug in one bed. Stay away.
Helpful Staff and Nice Coffee Shop”
Two things I love at Panda Tea House: (1) the very accommodating staff, esp Rachel, who would immediately assist us on our needs; (2) they have a cute coffee shop where you can unwind or relax. We got the room for a discounted price (thanks to Agoda!). It is quite outdated and dusty. My husband's allergic rhinitis was triggered because of the dusty floor and cabinets. There were also nuts and bolts at the drawer, in which, I guess the housekeeper failed to check or clean as well. Water flow at the bathroom is also poor. Maybe, because the room is located at the 3rd floor.
It’s okey! But !!!’”
I stayed for one night here before flying back to Manila, but I don feel comfortable first thing u noticed is they don’t have lift for it huge luggage. But it’s not bad at all they will help u to carry them for you. Also it’s very noisy u can hear the other people from the other room talking ... and it’s not bad at all for the valued of money I paid for.... the worst thing is !!!! The bedsheet ! They didn’t change the main sheet under the blanket and still can see the water spot on the bed and It was still wet ! It was so grossed ! Well the blanckrt and pillow is changed I guess but the other one wasn’t change at all . When I removed the pillow I saw the water spot and still freshly wet !!! Ewwww
Near ICM Mall! ”
The hotel is near the Island City Mall! The rooms are clean.
Nice hotel! ”
There wifi is so fast! The aircon is good! They have a restaurant and cafe downstairs.
Panda Tea Garden Suites..... A time capsule hotel. 5 years since our previous visit little has changed. We found the receptionist rude and unwelcoming, to such a degree we cut our visit short by a day. The rooms are in desperate need of renovation, the aircon in my room was as if an old man was sucking an ice cube and coughing once in a while. HOWEVER not all is terrible, the price is reasonable and the waitresses in the restaurant are good, friendly and try their very best to get it right. We only had one meal there and had the Buttered Vegetables, which my well traveled senior parents adored, exclaiming with joyous shouts of 'oh they are wonderful' With that the shabby rooms, rude receptionist were almost forgotten. Unfortunately illness will prevent my father ever returning to Bohol, however if i visit i wouldn't stay at this hotel, but would certainly visit for the buttered vegetables !!!
Value for Money”
Place is cozy and simple. The restaurant and The Library Cafe serve good food. The room is good however be careful of the slippery tiles in the bathroom. Despite having hot and cold showers, they do not have those silicone anti-slip mats inside the bathroom. 2 things we did not like: #1) They do have a a bathroom rug outside the BR but it old and dirty. You cant wipe your feet with it. #2) we had 2 night stay and on the first night, the aircon at room 2 (second floor) was working and cold, the following day, it was not working anymore. Good thing the receptionist was able to transfer us to room 8 (third floor) with a more powerful aircon. Jeck-jeck, the receptionist is friendly. Richard, the van driver, is also helpful
We stayed here with my family and my grandson 9 yr old, the Pro's - the hotel has a "cozy family ambiance". We stayed in their 2 standard room, me and my husband in 1 room and my daughter and her son in the 2nd room. Room was big enough and clean. It's value for money and has a relaxed atmosphere that we liked. The Con's, they didn't have a chair on our room and towels, but it was immediately attended to by their staff. The blankets were thin not like the comforter type. Overall, customer service is good and that's a plus factor for me.
Location is very convenient. Disappointed because they forgot to pick us at the airport, so we traveled to the hotel without any staff from them, the receptionist said sorry but really..... how can they forgot that. Anyway the hotel is near the airport and the mall.
My colleague and I had a wonderful stay as we came from Talibon for a two hour trip and was very tired. No hot water though, but that was forgiveable as we were able to sleep quietly and comfortably. As promised, we were even brought to the airport on the first flight the next day.
I highly recommend this place. I made a mess of my booking, purely me to blame it was the sort of mistake that I could have been penalised for. The staff could not have been more helpful sorting out my error. The rooms are very nice, clean and bright. The rooms at the front do get some stret noise however. Overall a great place to stay, I would say the restaurant is not great though. As a cafe it is very good but I did not think the meals were anything more than average.
Nice budget hotel in a good location”
I would stay at this hotel again if passing through Tagbilaran. It was basic but for the price I can't complain (much). It is very close to Dao terminal and Island City Mall. The food was good and yes, unfortunately, their baking has ants crawling by them.
Value for money”
We chose Panda Tea Garden Suites because of the room rate. We were doing a short stay in Bohol so we basically needed only a decent place to sleep in. Breakfast was really good, and they have a fastfood type restaurant/bakeshop at the lobby. The staff are friendly and it was quick to check in & out. The room was pretty small though. It was convenient to take public transport because the hotel is at roadside. We had a chance to meet the owner and her daughters...and she was very nice and accommodating.
Cheapest in Boho. That's it!”
In-house bakery's breads were infested with ants but they continued selling them (and people still bought them!), rooms not the cleanest, hot water was non-existent in the bathroom, TV reception was hopeless. Only saving grace was Wifi.
