OK stay”
Close to spas and shopping areas, surrounded by wide variaties of restaurants, good service
Booked the place for 3 nights, but decided to ask for upgrade to their bungalow on the 2nd day after struggling to get a good sleep on the first night. It's too hot to depend on the ceiling fan only, mainly it's the design of the room with closed window and door you hardly get any air coming into the room. There's no mosquite net, hence, we're reluctant to open the windows. Anyway, we felt much better after moving to the aircon room on the second night. We've got no chance to enjoy the balcony though. As it's pretty close to the Monkey Forest Sanctuary, expect for monkeys to visit your balcony in the morning, and they always left their "track" behind at night.

Cosy and clean homestay in the center of Ubud”
Location, friendly staff, wifi
I had a great stay at this cosy homestay. As a solo traveler and female I wanted to stay close to central streets with more lights and traffic after a sunset. The streets further from the centre get very dark and I didnt want to risk my safety when walking alone after the sun went down (very early, around 6pm). Pande Permain is connected with Jl. Hanoman with a short alley (30m) and even thought it's close to this street full of traffic, it was very quiet at the hometay, I didn't hear any traffic at all! I stayed in the standard room which was simple, but there was everything I needed. And it was very clean! I had stayed at two more budget homestays in Ubud and this one was the cleanest one! The breakfast was simple (usually bread with butter & jam or noodles, always fruit and coffe/tea), but I didn't need more and I considered it good enough for a budget price. I found it very nice that during the day or in the evening the staff usually brought me more fruits and small snacks, biscuits. That was a plus which I didnt expect. The wifi was ok, not the fastest one, but I could have uploaded pictures and worked without an interruption. However, I was the only guest for most of the days I stayed there, so the internet connection might get worse during a high tourist season. Anyway, there are plenty of nice and budget cafés with a strong internet in a surrounding. This homestay can be difficult to find since they dont have a table with a sign next to Jl. Hanoman. Look for Astiti salon and spa and then walk the short alley which is next to this salon. Generally I would highly recommed this homestay. Good value for the price!

Great value great staff”
price staff quiet
great stay. Saw some negative reviews online but we had a great time here. Very clean. Breakfast came right after we woke up. Peaceful surroundings quiet at night. We were even told we could use a pool at different hotel with the same owner. In room wifi was good. Staff were very helpful and very polite. And this hotel doesnt charge 10% tax like some places in Ubud do.

Worst stay experience ever...never go back again”
The staffs are nice but not the boss...otherwise was a total disaster
Worst stay experience ever with dark environment and never trust the picture of rooms posted on the site...is a total disaster to me & my girlfriend..definitely wont go back again...but friendly speaking, a suggestion to everyone, Pande Permai Bungalow may be a nice selection rather than Pande Permai Hoemstay...

"clean room but poor location"”
homestay experience
the homestay is hidden behind the main road and no signboard at all so it's very hard to find it. there is still room for improvement for the owner's services. the room was clean and it was a good opportunity to experience the balinese living's style.

Budget homestay”
Near the souvenirs shops, market and restos
I wasn't able to sleep because the bed is itchy thought maybe bed bugs and in the morning I saw ants. The house is not very easy to find cause its located in a small street with no street lights. The garden area is nice though.

Decent hotel, well located”
good location, generous breakfast
You should call and confirmed the room availability. Despite my voucher, They asked me to pay extra... After one hour discussion, I let it go because I was exhausted from a long trip. The standard room was big, but not that clean. The roasters singing from 4pm are horrible, and the walls are so thin that you could hear the neighbors next door as if they were in the room... At least, the hotel is well located.

Beware of the greedy owner!!!”
Quiet location even if a busy road is nearby.
This is a difficult review to write because my stay at the homestay was a good one. It's what happened at the end that made the whole thing not so pleasant. The staff is very nice. I stayed in a standard room which was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast provided was minimal but is similar to what you get in most homestays. I booked for two nights on Agoda. On the day of departure, I asked if I could stay 5 more nights. The young man I asked phoned someone to enquire and I was told that it would be ok, and that I would have to pay the same price I paid on Agoda. This was around 9 am. In the evening, I came back to the homestay and the owner (woman) was sitting on her porch which is right at the entrance of the compound. She asked me how many more days I was staying which I replied 5. She then proceeded to tell me a price that was double of what had been agreed upon that morning. I was rather bewildered and said no and protested that a price had already been agreed upon. She then tried to tell me that I was in a deluxe room which was not true. My Agoda receipt showed my room to be a standard room (as did the picture on the Agoda site). Since she was not getting me to agree, she called a friend who apparently could better communicate in English, which was the case. He siad the same thing the owner said to which I gave the same answer I had given the owner. The blame gave was used to say that the young man who made the call made a mistake. The conversation between me, the young man and the person at the end of the line was a dynamic one where all information was verified as the negotiations went along. Since he did not win with this argument, he proceeded to use room standards. In the end, I was 'forced' to pay the higher price for that night and obviously, I left the next day out of principle. THERE ARE MILLIONS OF HOMESTAYS IN UBUD - STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE OR MAKE SURE THAT YOUR ENTIRE STAY IS BOOKED IN ADVANCE to avoid this type of unpleasant situation.
