The hotel is located, in my opinion, in the best beach in Panglao island, the staff is amazing and inspire you to come back, excellent facilities, good cuisine, and also perfect as a wedding resort. Maybe some resorts in Maldives would could hardly compete with this resort. If you are in a romantic trip you have to choose a beach-front villa, trust me you won't regret when you'll open the curtains every morning.

This resort was chosen because of its proximity to Alona beach where I planned to bring my kids aged 7 and 2. Though the resort was farther than expected, the shuttle service was convenient and easy to locate at the parking lot. The staff was extremely helpful in helping us getting around panglao island and were knowledgeable with information necessary for tourists. The room was clean and towels were provided. The pool was cleaned daily and the breakfast was decent. Will definitely consider staying again on our next Panglao visit.

Highly recommended for everyone specially for party people. The staff were ALL AMAZING! BIG THANKS to Laarni, Emma and Cristine. I was very impressed with them! Location is on a beachfront, nice bar, the Food is very very tasty. We had an amazing 5 days stay. Better than those 5 star hotels, although their rooms needs a bit upgrade but overall, this is the place to be in Panglao Island!

It was a great experience not to mention we got an unexpected upgrade. The view at our Villa and resort is magical. The resort gives ultimate privacy, the only private beach resort in Panglao Island. Pristine white sand, peaceful and quiet. Staff are very friendly and well trained. The Resident Manager Andrew is hands on. Food is good. We even had a bbq by the ocean with our own butler and chef. Worth every penny we paid for!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at this resort. Its not far from Alona, but far enough to be away from the noise. You can either ride a tricicle for 5 mins to Alona (100 Pesos one way) or just rent a motorbike with the front desk (600 Pesos per day). The pool area is great, the food is delicios and reasonably priced, the breakfast buffet is really good with a large variety of dishes. There is no real beach in front, but the waterfront area is amazing, very relaxing and quiet... in my opinion way better to chill than on Alona beach. The staff was also very attantive and kind. Great place in Panglao.

Resort opened recently-January 2018- with big rooms, balconies for each room and reasonable size of bathrooms. Overall quality is great, everything is designed nicely and maintained well. Rooms and all other facilities are very clean and organized. Stuffs and management are helpful and flexible. Restaurant and bar area is nice with good variety of all day dining. Dinner at pool side with the owner playing at the piano just adds so much to the special atmosphere of the place. Location is little far but still walking distance from the beach and guests of this resort are allowed to use the facilities like sunbed for free of charge of the Alona Beach Resort which is great. The only thing that could be disturbing is a big construction work on the opposite side of the road which is not the hotel’s fault of course but makes the area noisy from early in the morning. Place is highly recommended for a nice stay in Panglao island.

We arrived Lost Horizons Dive Resort late in the afternoon at 6pm direct from a two hours boat ride from Cebu City and an hour flight from Manila. Good that we were able to share a van going to Panglao area with another family, making the fare cheaper. Upon check-in, we were told that we I'll be occupying the third floor room. Right there in there, we requested for a ground floor room, since we are both seniors and will have a hard time climbing the stairs, coz they don't have a lift. But our assigned room was the last one. (Tip no. 1 : age of the traveller must be noted.). So we just occupied said room and since we were tired already, we just ordered food to be taken in our room to avoid going up and down. And no extra charge for the food delivery, thank you! Breakfast the following day was taken in their restaurant fronting the beach. Nice ambiance! But it was served after 7am or even later. (tip no. 2: will help if you inform the restaurant if you want early breakfast). This is so because country day tour starts as early as 7am and dolphin watching and island hopping with snorkeling starts at 6am. Otherwise, you leave the resort without taking breakfast. Dinner time was so romantic with many choices of seafoods that are grilled, and free drinks for the second round order. Noticed that other travelers from other resorts also took their dinner in the Lost Horizons restaurant.(tip no. 3: nice diving and snorkeling maybe arranged in the resort. They have plenty of equipments). Over-all, our stay was worth it!

I enjoyed my stay in Amarela. The services were great and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We felt that we are well taken care of during our 3 nights stay. It is so easy to ask for assistance. Transport to & from airport is provided free. Motorbike rental is arranged and bike is delivered to hotel. Beach towels, snorkels, kayak available at beach. The beach by the hotel is probably the best one in Panglao Island. It is definitely less busier than Alona beach. If you prefer some where quieter then go to this beach. Alona is busier and more of a party beach. All the beaches however has seaweed which is actually not much of an issue but there may also be sea urchins. So watch where you step or best wear shoes for sea. Overall great experience staying in Amarela and thanks to the staffs that made it wonderful.

It was our first time to travel to Bohol. I wanted to book 2 nights at Bohol Beach Club but the resort was full due to renovation. Dumaluan Beach Resort is just beside Bohol Beach Club and they share the same beautiful beach. My friend who recommended Dumaluan Beach rather than Alona Beach (where the nightlife is), was a genius. I got the Junior Presidential Suite at Dumaluan Beach Resort which was just perfect. Our room was a few steps from the beach and the restaurant. Though they serve many delicious dishes, the free breakfast buffet was simple and not comparable to the breakfast served when you stay in a hotel. The day tour and island tour offered by the resort were reasonable in price but I still managed to find a cheaper one outside the resort. The driver we hired for the day tour looked like the late Filipino actor Rudy Fernandez but with lots of tattoos and earrings. Though he looked tough and mean, he was a sweetheart, funny and a true family man. We enjoyed his tour. (Never judge a book by its cover.) The resort offers plenty of Aquatic Sports you can avail. The resort has a small dog named Goliath. The dog can swim and snorkel. If only I can share my video. At night, they have an excellent band playing good music, rock, bossa nova, jazz, classic old songs. What a way to unwind and drink up. The resort is 3 kilometers away from Alona Beach where all the bars and restaurants are located. 20 minutes away from the airport and Tagbilaran City. This place is just wonderful. If Bohol (Panglao Island) is like Boracay, Dumaluan Beach is a station 1 resort. Alona beach is like Puerto Galera. Tagbilaran City is like Kalibo, Aklan.

This Hotel is amazing !! Best Staff , Rooms are 4 star , swimming pool is unique its 10 ft Deep , no shallow end !! we loved it !!! The choice of food along Alona beach is Large, However we ate Breakfast , Lunch And DINNER at Pyramid Restaurant Because the service , Quality and Staff are incredible . As a couple traveling this was the BEST Hotel we have ever stayed in !! Book your tours with them as they custom the tour to suit you !! Tell your FRIENDS !!!

If you're looking for a quiet place to stay in panglao island, i would recommend this place. It has a lot of amenities like the infinity pool, kiddie pool, playground, tennis court, billiards, spa. You can also enjoy water activities for free like pedal boat and kayak. Sad that we didn't enjoy the sea though bec of big waves. The cons? It's in a secluded area that's why it's not crowded. Tricycle going to Bohol bee farm costs 150 max of 3pax. they also offer free one way van transfer to BQ mall in tagbilaran that has 1030am and 230pm schedule. wifi is a bit slow but who needs it when you're already tired with the activities :)

Very nice place to stay in. The resort is run by an very kind English lady and she really takes the time to help you to make your stay comfortable. Also many thanks to Lisa who helped me to send the postcard in the Tag city. Although it is on a remote location on Panglao Island,the resort does provide pick-up service from and to the Airport and Port. Also, taxi can be arranged if you'd like to go out. Local tricycles are difficult to find, you have to walk about 20min to the main highway to get one. The good thing is that you can enjoy a quiet living by the sea undisturbed and surrounded by scattered local island inhabitant, which is superb.So if you have already stayed near the public Alona Beach for 2~3 days, it is nice to switch to this place for a change of taste.

So the main Conrada's Building is great. Its what you see in the pics. Massive pool etc. "Superior & Delux" Rooms are in this building. "Standard" Rooms are in a secondary building, a few minutes walk away from reception - this is the one with the tiny triangular pool pictured above. This building is lifeless. No one uses the pool or bar here. You're still free to walk to the main building for all the facilities though. The staff are great and it's well run. Location is also excellent. Not too close to the hustle of Panglao Beach area, but still only a 10min walk. The hotel is located on a private side-road. Theres a convenience store a few mins away. Breakfast is terrible, just a poor selection and very minimal. Typical of Philippines in general really. The Standard room was clean with a/c. No fridge though. If booking, I'd pay the extra and ensure I had a Superior or Delux room in the main building. Hotel staff can organise transport to/from the front door for you also at good rates.

To be honest, I chose the Ananyana because it was a good deal on Agoda and I didn't want to stay on the main "drag" of Alona Beach, but I'm really glad we found the place. It is the other side of the island from Alona and is alone on its stretch of beach, although another, larger resort is being built a bit further down. This meant that it was very quiet and there was only one other family there during the 3 days we stayed. I'm not sure why there were not more guests as it is a beautifully designed place with reasonably basic but very comfortable and well-designed rooms. The staff were without exception extremely friendly and helpful and, best of all, we were able to go diving with the resident dive master just by ourselves. Other boats we saw from other resorts were full of people, while ours were quite happy to take just the two of us. The diving was fantastic - absolutely stunning coral gardens and reef wall at Balicasag island with the typically abundant reef rish and great visibility of many places in the Philippines. Highlights were the giant turtles :) It's true that the beach isn't ideal for swimming, especially at low tide as the water is very shallow, but it's a very pretty and well-maintained beach with beautifully soft, white sand. The pool is small but perfectly formed and good for a refreshing dip. There is only one restaurant but they have at least 3 specials every evening and I found the vairety offered perfectly adequate, even for a vegetarian and occasional pescetarian. I would definitely recommend this thoughtfully-planned, relaxing place.

Location-wise, the resort is just 10mins drive from/to Panglao Airport, just across McDonalds and 7/11, beside Dunkin Donuts, less than a minute walk to Island Souvenirs and just 10mins walk to the beach. There are variety of restaurants nearby as well and a lot of friendly guides outside the resort who offers an affordable island/beach activities, you just need to approach them. And if you wish to get around Panglao, there are tricycles just outside the resort. All the staff are nice and friendly willing to assist and answer all our queries. The room was clean, provided with towels and soap. They also clean the room and change the bedsheets and towels everyday, I even left my other phone in our room during our Day Tour but it’s still there when we got back. There are also huts outside the rooms if you’re too tired to walk to the beach but want to relax and chill. Would definitely book here again next time I visit Bohol. ❤️

I had a wonderful stay at Linaw beach resort. It's situated in a surprising location (Panglao island 30 minutes complimentary shuttle ride). The deluxe sea view room which I booked was quite spacious (45 square metres), clean and all luxury amenities came in as standard (hairdryer, kettle, DVD-player). WiFi is available inside the room, only the signal can be poor at times. No big malls in the neighbourhood. But you can enter the village for some basic shopping. The resort restaurant is splendid.

Finally i find a place which suit my needs and standards. Rooms are spacious, simple but modern like the best hotels. Nice the living area with sofa and the room separated. Im sure the owner pay a lot of attentions in the construction due i can see that didn’t look like to other resorts in the area. The room will impress you with the cleanness and for the quietness in the night. The bar offer good cocktails with a large range of Rum which i particularly like. The pool its nice and shallow which allow to enjoy also to the non swimmers. Finally i saw a resort builded with the concept of guest experience. Congratulations all for your efforts and good luck for the future business. I will go back soon in Panglao and now i know exactly where to stay.

The Good: 1. Location - Located in Panglao Island which is around 30-40 minutes via tricycles or car from the airport or seaport. 2. Room - We booked for Family room, and it was very spacious. It offers a king-sized bed, a queen-sized bed, a kitchenette, and some utensils just in case guests feel like cooking their own food. 3. Swimming pool - Guests can access the pool until late at night, which is quite ideal for guests who likes taking a late night swim. The Bad: 1. Bathroom - A Family room that has only 1 bathroom caused us a bit of inconvenience. Also, the bathroom sink is positioned ridiculously high. 2. Stairs - The resort has no lifts, so better pack light or else you will have to go through flights of stairs to reach the guest rooms. Luckily for us, the Family room is located on the ground floor. Neither Good Nor Bad: 1. Wifi internet connection - Free wifi is available, but the signal reception is strong only if you are in the public areas, whereas in-room wifi is basically zero. But let's face it, you are in Panglao to relax. Take a timeout from technology when staying in Alona Northland Resort. We enjoyed our stay very much. Special thanks to all the staff members who have assisted us with luggage, directions, and tour packages. Also, we had fun interacting with Coco the dog. He/She loves a good rub and is essential in making our stay in Alona Northland Resort more memorable.

We thank the Lord for bringing to a place like this Regent Park a place suited for people like us whose preference is peace, calmness,quietness, and course the overall beauty and comfort of the place. We are happy that the guest who stay there seems to prefer that kind of peaceful atmosphere. I have observe that those who stay there are with their families, i mean it is a wholesome place though there may be some exemptions but generally , it is a really a good place.The room where we stayed is very comfortable and clean ( cool aircon, with personal frigs, good comfort room with hot water ), We find it very relaxing also to stay at their pool with enhancing cleanliness and good design.We actually had shot lot of pictures around the pool. Additional features for this place is their close proximity with the beautiful beaches of Panglao. We also spent and enjoy our time there particularly at Bohol Beach Club. Then returning again to our room at Regent for a good rest and sleep. We hope we could return there again together with my family and some church member. I think that is what's lacking in that place and to the whole place of panglao - a real Godly atmosphere, Praying that his presence will be known in the island of Panglao. God is not KJ. he also want us to enjoy the beauty of His creation. Right?

This resort is run by the Philippine tourism Authority. It is the only resort on this small island of 3000 persons. For location the price was very fair. The circumference of the island is approximately 1 mile round. The resort is clean, rooms are clean, staff friendly restaurant is satisfactory. Not nearly as rustic as other reviews led me to believe. For snorkeling i'm yet to find a better place in the Philippines. Electricity is sometimes limited from 6 am til 10 am and then from 2-5 pm, but while we were there they only shut it off once. Shower pressure is extremely low. shower before you arrive. You will need bucket and pail to get soap from hair. Other than snorkeling/diving, swimming pool, star gazing, eating, sun tanning; There little to do here. If you don't like these you will be quickly bored even if you like these you might be ready for a change after 2 or 3 days. Overall I was very pleased with the resort but I love snorkeling. BTW The beaches here are mostly corral and hard to walk on.

when we arrived at the pier hannon, the owner of the hotel picked us up. he was very welcoming. the hotel staff was very nice and also very helpful. the hotel is located on the hills of the panglao island in dauis city. all the rooms have a superb view. the view overlooks the bay and the main island of bohol. the breeze is always present and everything is clean. the only problem was the pillows. they are very small and super soft. i requested 4 pillows. also the aircon is only in the 1 bedroom. an a/c should also be included in the living room or the main area. the hotel offers deals with driver that can take you around from the tarsier compound to the chocolate mountain. negotiate the price as tours can be charged. the restaurant at the hotel is good for simple european or american food. the pizza is the best. breakfast is not too fancy, but it will help you get some energy for the day. the difficulty of the place and anywhere in panglao and bohol is transportation. transportation costs a lot and requires a lot of negotiating. in other words, it is a pain. apart from the difficulty of transportation, the hotel is a wonderful place. i definitely would recommend it for everyone that wants tranquility and a great view.

We had a terrific time at Blue Ocean. First of all, they offered us free van service to and from the Hotel (to Panglao airport), which was super convenient. The staff were super friendly. The best thing about this hotel is the quiet location and the fantastic view (and access) of the beach and sea. They have a nice little lounge area in front where you can read a book, or sunbathe. Beachfront! Our view from the 2nd floor family room is jaw-dropping. The ocean greeted us every time we looked out the window. The room was big w/ cute decor. Big, comfy beds. The day bed is big too. Good aircon and electric fan. TV with cable channels. Wifi is strong. Big refrigerator. Heated shower with good water pressure. Plated breakfast is simple, but the service and views are awesome. Room has a balcony and they have racks where you can dry your clothes after swimming. They don't have a restaurant though, but there are plenty of restos nearby (5-10 minute stroll). HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! <3

We had a great time on our trip. The best thing about Panglao Island Nature Resort and Spa is the staff. They were always smiling, offering to help, and couldn't have been nicer. The staff is definitely 5 stars. The hotel picked us up at the airport - no charge - and deposited us at the hotel. Even though we arrived at 8am, they accommodated us and allowed us to check in. We stayed in the Forest bungalows, which had a lot of room and all the amenities of a top rated hotel. We particularly liked the Jacuzzi, not minding the 40 minute wait for the water to warm up. While the only meal we ate at the hotel was breakfast, we found the a la carte food and the buffet breakfast to be pretty good. Not great but when you are sitting in their dining area looking out over the beautiful sea, it helps. The pool and the surrounding area were very nice. Great landscaping. They could just use a few more lounge chairs. When we went (February) the beach was not so great but I am sure it improves during the time when that side of the island gets the better wind and less seaweed. Didn't really matter to us as this trip was not for the beach. The gift shop was very nice and the spa appeared to be first rate, although we didn't have a chance to try it. They did have a very nice sauna and steamroom available if you purchased a service. Not any night life around, but the hotel called for a taxi which took us over to Alona Beach, which was about 25 minutes away. After looking at that beach, it was nice to come back to our resort. The hotel also was great about arranging a car for our own touring to see the Tarziers and other tourist spots. It was nice to be closer to Tagbilaran for that reason. Overall, excellent time here.

We did arrive at the resort late in the evening, and we were greeted by Mr. Ernie, the owner itself. The check-in was fast and we were offered a delicious complimentary welcome drink. We booked the executive villa and we were very pleased to find out that this villa comes with a private pool. The villa itself was very clean and cosy and has a small balcony to seat and relax where we enjoyed watching the sunset every evening. Mr. Ernie, is a very friendly and helpful man, he would make sure that everything we needed was provided and would gladly assist with anything. On the third night of our stay, he even arranged a private barbecue dinner for us in the resort, after telling him that we love local BBQ meats! Janet, the manager, is a wonderful young lady that goes the extra-mile to make you feel like home. She did help us to rent a motorbike and to arrange an island hopping trip on a private boat. Every morning, Janet and the team would serve our a la carte breakfast beside the sea at our most convenient timing. The resort is small but beautiful and has a very well maintained garden.The view of the sea is outstanding, which makes it a great place to relax and enjoy the fresh air of Panglao island. The location is fantastic as well, as it's very convenient to travel anywhere around, be it in Bohol or Panglao Island. Overall, I strongly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a nice and cosy place to stay, great service and fantastic view. Big thanks to the VDG team, we'll be back soon! Joan & JJ (Singapore)

I highly recommend Panglao Grande Resort especially for those who are looking for a budget-friendly accommodations. This is not a typical beach resort that is so loud and there's lots of people partying. This is perfect for people who will go to Bohol for soul searching, getting a day-off from the city, and for a family like mine who has 2 kids. They get to enjoy the pool that's just in front of our doorstep. They have their restaurant that serves delicious BULALO and seafood meals that my kids love. Overall, it is really commendable. Rooms are like 20 steps away from the beach. One more that I can commend is Vanny, the front desk staff. I have some problems with booking when I first came in but he solved it right away. They are really nice. SOBRANG NAKAKAPROUD MAGING FILIPINO BECAUSE OF THEIR WARM AND HOSPITABLE APPROACH. I WILL DEFINITELY GO BACK HERE. Good job Panglao Grande Resort!
