Sunny spot to careless resting ”
Nice, lovely place but there should be something more than eggs for the breakfast and also some kind of light evening food like sandwiches in case you stay at the places.
Affordable luxury with amazing service”
We absolutely loved our stay at Panglao Palms, we even stayed for 3 more nights and wish we could have stayed longer! Liza was a great host, arranging everything for us, the rooms are gorgeous, and breakfast by the pool each morning was really special. The location isn't close to the main town but that's why we loved it, and with a moped it didn't matter. We spent our days riding to the beach, to town when we needed, to the Chocolate Hills and tarsiers and to the amazing Bohol Bee Farm - a must visit! Will recommend to all of our friends and hope to return one day. Thank you again Liza!
Nice place to stay, away from the crowd at Alona beach. Liza helped to arrange for scooter rental and island tour. Feels like home. Simple breakfast of toast and eggs. Loved playing with the dog.
Absolutely recommended. ”
Quiet, spacious and clean rooms. Beach in walking distance. Own transport recommended (easy 6km drive to Alona). Owner helps arranging motorbike or tricycle. Good value for money.
Exactly what we wanted”
Offers great value and is perfect for those who, like us, prefer smaller, uncrowded accommodation to some of the busy resorts on the island. Owners are friendly and accommodating, rooms are of good quality, and we would definitely stay here again.
Wouldn't choose it again..”
The place looks like in the pictures - spacious room with AC, comfortable, clean. You need to get a scooter or trycicle taxi to get to anywhere (flat fee 150php anywhere on the island), as there is nothing around there other than a cheesy resort next to it. We were disappointed by the service - breakfast is basic and their recommendations weren't great (they booked us an overpriced tour, dodgy drivers, they didn't know about beach access with a shower - if you need one: dumaluan beach resort is 25php for access including use of facilities like showers). It was OK and value for money but we wouldn't come here again.
Panglao New Year's Eve 2015-2016”
The resort is peaceful, well mentained, clean ..but is far away from anything. The property has no acces to the see, you simply have to walk 300 m to see it. We had rent 2 byclicles from the owner (she did not consider renting before) to go to the next beach. Staying there more than 2 nights will be very annoying to walk 2-3 km to eat something to the closest restaurant or 8 km if you want other "options" than Bee Farm.
We enjoyed our stay here as it was easy to find and renting a motorbike from the hotel owner was great and a good price. The room we stayed in was big but basic i would be happy to stay here again as the owner was very friendly and helpful. The pool is ok for a quick dip and breakfast was ok for our needs. Motorbike rental is a must for the island to explore the beaches and alona beach
Having 4 1/2 star is over rated”
We had a great time. Bohol is a small island and if you have private transportation it's easily accessible anywhere!! The hotel is very strict on having more than the people allowed which in our case it's very annoying!! I thought, being a penthouse we would be allowed to accommodate more than 8 people which in the end we did easily obliged to follow! There is water shortage in the Apartelle, we understand that it's an Island, and water will be difficult but hotel should at least have their own tank enough to hold water for the guest to consume, which in our case it's not and its salted water also!!Apart from that, I give credit to the owner Liza for being nice and friendly towards my relatives!! Having 4 and half star is over rated!!
Relaxing, good location and friendly staff.
the place is peaceful but far from any restaurant”
Since the hotel is near from any restaurant or carinderia. I would advice the management to include breakast and dinner on their hotel package because looking for food every night is hassle for the guest.
Perfect situation for a small group of teens seeing Bohol. Highly recommended.
Overall Value for Money”
Just to give everyone a heads up, Panglao Island is quite far from Tagbilaran City. Transportation on the island is a challenge. So if you are going there and you are saving up your money for your activities, I suggest you go to get some groceries. Most hotels in the Panglao are striving to deliver good service but if you are caught in the mid of nowhere a tricycle ride will cost you a dime so make sure to rent a motorbike to get around. Panglao palms is located in Dauis near flushing meadows. My room is located on the third floor so I have a good visibility of the garden and pool. At night it is not noisy since its quite isolated from alona which is the center of the action. If you are after relaxation then this is the place for you. My room is big! Like freakin big! They made sure to add more space. You have your own refregirator which is a plus. Open it and you will find an array of drinks. Bathroom is clean. The bed is nice. You have your own television set, an electric kettle for your coffee needs, an aircon that gives a good night sleep and an electric fan. There is a nice beach with a nice view six minutes away. Overall its awesome
Affordable elegant apartelle”
It was our first time in Bohol and the accommodation was really great. The location though is far from the city but they offer shuttle service to and from the Tagbilaran Ferry Port. The owner was very nice and accommodating, they even allowed us to checked in early so that we can start our agendas. They also serve breakfast on your doorstep, it is very convenient with a pool view in front of you. We were so relaxed upon our stay in Panglao Palms. It is also near Bohol Bee Farm.
for travellers with car/scooter & "self cookers"”
Arrived late due to cancelled ferry, no possibility to get any food nearby (and not even an offer for toast and butter at Panglao Palms -after all it was New Year's eve). Place is nice and rooms big but this is really a holiday apartment complex, so travellers staying for just a few nights and not wanting to cook themselves, or having to order and pay 200pesos per tricycle ride are better served with a proper hotel/guest house. The owner, Liza, was nice, rented us a scooter and did organize for transport to our next location when we asked. However, got a distinct feeling she wanted not to be disturbed too much by the guests...
I just recently stayed there with my sister. It was a wonderful experience. Although i must admit that transportation was a challenge. It was not the trip that i expected. We expected that it would be accessible to all spots that we would like to visit and that there will be public utility transportation anywhere and anytime. It turned out to be difficult to go out during night time. First , its dark outside ( literally no lamp posts) , second , because its a private / residencial , its a very quite too wandering outside is doubtfully safe. There's no restaurant inside the apartelle , so if you will be travelling you must bring your own food or eat before going there. You must have your own car, motorbike , or you can also rent a car or motorbike service. The owner is very accommodating, she addressed all our concerns. At first there was a problem with the toilet bowl's flush but they attended to it immediately. Going to the beach you have to walk more or less 5-6 minutes. Beach is for public use. The room was very clean . A/C not too cold . What bothers me so much was , there was no free drinking water , unlike other hotels I've stayed in before.
Great pool ”
Beautiful place, good English spoken.
The only negative is that it is not commuter-friendly.
Our stay at the Panglao Palms Apartelle”
Friendly staff, reasonably well equipped room. Nice but small swimming pool and nicely maintained gardens. All meals apart from breakfast must be taken in restaurants (of which there are few walking distance, the nearest hotel charges silly money for a buffet, and they wanted to separately charge for my 14 month old infant) or take out (generally poor quality) or you simply must have your own transport, although during certain times of the day transport (trike) can be booked with the hotel.
