Amazing part of the world with staff who will go out of their way to help”
Amazing location with amazing staff that make you feel welcome. The beach, stream and river are all beautiful and you will be one of few around appreciating it. We stayed in a cottage which is fairly basic but was all we needed but there are other options as well. Friendly dogs in the place make it feel homely and the staff are all from the community which really makes a difference both to them and us. They will also guide you on the stream walk through the village if you ask (this was one of our highlights). Food great and the cocktail one of the best I've had. Shout out to Ducky for being so friendly and helpful especially with our travel plans. Also to the unwavering and helpful security guard who would always have a chat and wait and flag the bus down for us. It's a trek from Manila but that's why it's so unspoilt and worth it! One thing to note - bring plenty of cash in case the weather stops the cash machine working or you will need to go 30mins drive to the ATM.
A hidden paradise up North”
A river pool,a camp fire, a place where you can pick mulberries and eat it straight a way, a dog for a tour guide, sand in your feet ,the beach, the view ,the spring, organic food and all things that make you want to spend more than a week in this hidden paradise. The place has potential for other attractions like a swimming pool , a play ground for kids, other water activities.Since the beach is a little dangerous for kids (strong current and too deep) would be a good idea to include sea floaters on the beach for safety. I am now missing Mucho the dog! I will surely come back to this place.
Best Place Ever!”
I highly recommend this place! I needed some rest from the stress of life and I looked around for a while. I found this place online and the solitude of this place attracted my attention. This place exceeded my expectations. The staff and owners welcomed me with smiles and amazing hospitality, very rare from my experiences in the Philippines. Trust me, I know that Filipino culture being a Fil-Am myself who was raised in the U.S. Great hospitality and great customer service is very rare in the Philippines especially to fellow Filipinos like myself. Ate Bing and Kuya Bobbie (the owners) and their entire staff treated me not only as a guest but as a family member. This place is AMAZING!!! Private river and private beach, both which I really enjoyed during my stay. The solitude is beyond words! STILL is a word I can only think of to describe it. And the food!! Everything is fresh and organic!!! Then the fresh air! THIS IS THE PLACE TO STAY!!
Lovely, peaceful and great place to relax!”
We love it here! The bus travel was worth it. The bus stops right in front of the resort. Resort is not crowded and is clean. It’s a good place to relax and just lounge in front of the beach. Beach can have big waves so not easy to swim but they give free trek to a nearby spring which was lovely! Simple living, don’t look for wifi or tv. Staff are helpful and attentive. They let us check in early in another room for free. Food is yummy! Will definitely go back!
Best place to relax. Warm welcome from all of the staff. I arrived 3:30am because the driver is yoo fast and kuya daniel, the guard assisted me to the Room 1 and tell me i can use the room even if my check inn is still 2pm. The lemon grass tea is super good, and most of all they has the best tour guide ever. Lance and Mucho! I will be surely back in this place
Highly recommended place. ”
We are glad that our Ram (Golden Retriever) is welcome in this place. Tita Bing is very nice. Ken gave us a warm welcome. Staff were all accomodating. We feel so special. We will definitely be back! We love everything about Pannzian. We miss Lance and Mucho!!! :)
Bliss and simplicity exemplified at Pannzian!”
Everything seems to be good from the nature perspective on where Pannzian is located amidst beach and mountain. No network signals and it’s not the issue with the resort but in general network connection is very poor in the surrounding. Considering it’s quiet in the woods getting food of your choice may be a challenge. It’s just perfect location if you have to unwind yourself n be with the nature!
good food , nature escape . it's a shame that we didn't get to experience the bonfire due to rain . we went up the spring . it's was really a nice experience walking on the fields and playing in the spring
Relaxing weekend with nature in a beautiful resort and in the absence of modern technology”
The absence of TV, cell signal, and wifi, was a pleasant surprise -- I had my workaholic fiancé all to myself! Haha! It was the first time I got him to play board games with me. And the two Labrador retrievers, Lance and Sandy, instantly turned him into a dog lover. The sand isn't fine and white, and the waves were too wild to swim in (there was a storm that weekend), but having that wide stretch of beach all to yourself has its own charm :) We spent hours on end just watching the waves crashing on the shore. With two friendly dogs trailing us, we got to stroll along the shoreline and pretend to live the life we've always dreamed of, as if the entire beachfront property was ours. And there's so much more to do -- they have a beautiful stream in the middle of a forrest that you can hike to and swim in, and a stretch of river that flows directly into the sea. Both equally mesmerizing! On better nights, they have bonfires and movie screening. We have to go back to experience those too! :)
No idea why you would ever want to leave! ”
Stunning location, very quiet, great beach area, awesome staff. Very cut off location great for relaxing, i stopped in Pagudpud town but it's actually about 20-30 minute drive from there. It's very close to the aqueduct. Definitely try the 20 min trek to the spring!!!!
This is NOT a normal resort hotel. The Pannzian beach is a retreat from the stresses of life. No internet connection, no TV in the room, but an eco friendly environment and excellent home cooked meals. It won't be a place for everyone, but we loved it!
Love the peaceful environment, long private beach, great food, cute dogs, the owner was just amazing and she shared a lot about her past and goal of running the Pannzian Beach Resort. Dying to go back there again!
Pannzian is a great place if u want to disconnect and reconnect with nature and go back to the basics. We had a relaxing stay and had the beach all to ourselves during our 3days stay! Food was ok and staff were friendly.
Had both the cottage (for our grand parents) and the duplex A for ourselves (3pax). Both awesome locations. Small little hick-up is the grounds between the restaurant and the cottages are steep with stairs therefor hard for the elderlies but the staff were accomodations in providing room services. Love this place, will try to go again next year!
Excellent location by a long empty beach”
I stayed just one night at this place on my way from Vigan to Tuguegarao. Pannzian is some 30 minutes after Pagudpud and situated by long and empty black sand beach. Waves are quite big here because of the open sea but none the less, it is excellent place to swim and chill. Cottage is very comfortable. Hot shower. No wifi or tv but you really don't need them. Staff very kind. The only negative thing is the food. It is very very tasty but the prices are over the top - several times more expensive than in other similar places across the Philippines. They would say it is good for 2 people but not really. Maybe for 2 filipinos, not for 2 Westerners.
Excellent place to relax”
The resort is quite far but it's worth the trip. Well-maintained, staff are friendly, beach area is all ours while the life-guard is watching over. Bonfire with marshmallow roasting is being offered for free. Just make sure to book at least with free breakfast because their food cost is quite high. And hope that there will be no brownout. We arrived when the electricity is out. We were advised that they have a genset but cannot run the ACs. Good thing the electricity immediately came back. Hope they can invest on hi-powered standby generator to guarantee the comfort of their guests. Overall, we had a great stay!
Pannzian is a beautiful place to stay, but at night time, just nothing to do when it is dark, NO TV or internet, Times have changed and maybe the owner should look at this, even a TV and Internet in the lobby area, The sea front and gardens are just beautiful a must see !!
Serene and naturally green place”
My group had a good time staying in the resort. While it was just for an overnight, we were able to enjoy the service, tidy rooms, landscapes, gardens and river. Too bad the beach was too rough for swimming or wading.
A good option for family vacation”
Overall, the hotel service good. Except that at times, there is no one left manning the reception and resto. For kids, they could add play pens or any other recreational facility to entertain the young and adults too.
Charming hotel ”
Only stayed for one night since Pagudpud is just our first stop in our Ilocos tour so i was not bothered that their rooms has no television...they also do not have any internet connections but i dont mind that too. The hotel is conducive for relaxation (they also offer cheap massage and its good). They have an excellent view of the beach and just a few steps, you can also check out the panzian river. What i like abt this hotel is their food (try out their monggo-- really delicious) and their friendly/smiling staff. The only thing i dont like in this hotel is their hard bed and small pillows (they also do not have a pool). But over all, i still like this charming hotel.
