This property is centrally located in downtown Yangon, the central business district of Yangon near Bogyoke market, and close to the geographic center of the city area. Panorama Hotel is a fairly standard hotel with well-equipped facilities. This 10-story hotel offers a bird’s eye view of the downtown area. From here, the Sule Pagoda, government offices, and Bogyoke Market are visible from the upper floors. The hotel has a restaurant which offers a selection of foods, including European, Chinese, and even Indian dishes. For entertainment in the evening, there is a coffee shop and beer garden.

Excellent place to stay!”
The hotel was well located within walking distance to shopping Malls, local markets, food, and sights around Yangon. If you are taking an airport shuttle, do note the hotel is just a few streets away from the Shangri-La airport shuttle pick up point. The staff were friendly, helpful and very patient despite having some difficulty in speaking English (in general, Burmese people don’t study English as their first language). The rooms were spacious and clean, nothing to complain about. And as we every Burmese city, traffic and noise can be annoying at times. The downside, however, was the lack of facilities like a pool or gym to entertain yourself in the event that one decides to stay in on a rainy day. That however, should not put one off from staying here. Overall, I had a great stay and would definitely book Panorama again if I get the chance to return in future!
Great place...”
I arrived tired and at night time, taking a quick walk around the block to look for a pub - seemed really dead and in the middle of nowhere and I thought, what have I got myself into? Well, the next morning dawned and I realized that this place is in a perfect location to explore downtown Yangon and I would have found a good pub if I had walked two more minutes and made a right turn instead of left. Older room but very well kept, squeaky clean and had the best lighting of any room I've ever rented in SE Asia and better than most at home too. Can't comment on breakfast as I never eat hotel breakfasts; staff very pleasant and helpful. WiFi not the best.
Good choice in Yangon”
Very convenient in central downtown Yangon. Staff very helpful, rooms good (previous reviewer said go for an upper floor - I did and it was fine, away from the overpass below). I was on holiday but there were also Burmese and Indian people there for business, so a good choice for either.
location is good, centralised area”
location of the hotel is great - centralised and with supermarkets and eateries nearby. the room is quite spacious and clean, except that the toilet bowl in our room kept giving us some problem, which was resolved promptly by the staff. the breakfast is also quite good especially love the fried beehoon. overall, not too bad for the price I paid. will consider this hotel again if we go yangon again.
No 1 accommodation !”
I stayed here from Dec 1 to Jan 2. Since it was a new year season, they welcomed me with a very big surprise gift at my room, and it was a red wine bottle, fruits and a new year's greeting card! But they didn't stop here. The staff were all very kind and friendly. always greeted me with a smile. I often asked them how to go to this and that place and every time they marked my destination on a map and wrote down bus no. At one time, they wrote a note for me in Burmese so I could show it to local people for help. The hotel is very near Yangon Central Station and in a walking distance to Sule Pagoda, Junction City and night market along the beach. There is a local supermarket on the same block so the location is perfect for tourists. I definitely recommend everyone to consider about this hotel.
Great hotel”
Had a suite room. Very spacious and divided into bedroom and lounge area with Sony TV in each room. Hotel is old style but clean and comfortable with wonderful staff. Breakfast is basic but adequate. For me, having a large supermarket next door was a big plus. Plus good rate to change money at hotel. Transport from hotel to attractions like the Shwedagon pagoda was cheap. If you want a comfortable simple hotel in Yangon then this is it.
Location is accessible ”
Located at central Yangon, walking distance to Circular Train Station, Bogyoke market, Junction Mall, Sule Pagoda and if you like walking you can walk to Shwedagon pagoda too. This hotel may be a bit old, however, it is clean and staff are all approachable. Buffet breakfast is great too.
At the city centre”
The location is very good for the price. Its 3-4 min walk away from the Sule Square, which is centre of Yangon. The room is a little old fashioned, but it is clean and spacious. Shower is abit weak. Aircon works well. Bed is comfortable and big. Breakfast is delicious too. Overall, very value for money property to stay in yangon.
Family recommendation while in Yangon”
Breakfast was good with a wide variety of speciality dishes prepared every morning. Alternatively, you can choose from the more British eggs and chinese pork sausages. Restaurant was usually quiet but with the wealth of outside restaurants, what are you doing eating in! The local shopping market 'Rubys' is literally just around the corner selling all the things a visitor needs. A really good location to spend part of your stay in Yangon before venturing further out.
Old but in a good location ”
The Pansodan road is one of the main roads in the downtown Yangon. The staffs are really friendly and everything is around including an overpass road. If the internet speed and the satellite TV system (no LOCAL CHANNELS!) are improved, I will definitely think of going back to this hotel.
The best 3* hotel i stayed in Yangon”
I stayed in 3 different 3* hotels and Panorama was the best. Friendly polite and welcoming staff, big and very clean room ,earlier check in and cause i had t check out very early they gave me a breakfast box Very close to markets restaurants and shops
Dear Sir, Greetings from Panorama Hotel Thank you so much for your prefer choosing to stay with us and also thanks for sharing your valuable review about our hotel. And looking forward to welcome you again. With best regards, Shwe (Ms.) Sales Manager
Exceptional”
staff are great! very helpful. Definitely will be back to this hotel in our future visit in yangon.
Very good”
My third stay in the Panorama over a period of 10 years. A reliable option, handily located in the downtown area. The hotel is apparently in the process of renovating its rooms, though judging by the one I stayed in, this is only a partial renovation - the furniture and fittings remain unchanged. The bed linen and towels also urgently need replacing - rather threadbare.
Excellent”
Good central location at a reasonable price. Taxi drivers sometimes need to be told that the entrance to the hotel is oddly located near the overpass, which in no way detracts from the hotel. Staff attentive and most helpful. Big rooms, plenty of hot water at good pressure. TV channels a bit limited. Internet slow but works. Breakfast caters for Asian, Indian and Western customers and reflects the clientele. Western breakfast a bit limited but acceptable. For a good view with some traffic noise choose front facing room. For a quiet room with limited but still reasonable view choose room at back. There is a friendly bar/restaurant next door which stays open late. I would choose this hotel again.
All satisfactory”
The Panorama has a great, central location. It's well run and has friendly, helpful staff. The only thing you might complain about is the breakfast, which is presented carelessly and mostly inedible, but that is a minor quibble as there are other options in the neighborhood.
very good hotel - big rooms - good staff ready to help”
This hotel is located close to the train station and sule pagoda. Rooms are big, clean. However, we regret the lack of safety box in the room. There could also be more electric plug. Breakfeast (mainly indian oriented) is good. Staff is outstanding. I have been to this hotel several times. One point: Buddhist monastry close to the hotel just increased the power of their sound box, and start tto pray at 5:30 in the morning for two hours. Impossible to tell anything due to the power of the monks in this country.
Very central, good place to stay in Yangon”
Good location in downtown, close to train station and not far from shuttle bus to airport. Attentive and helpful staff, good selection for breakfast. Room of decent standard, with occasional issues - bathroom doesn't seem to be well built as shower water flows to other drain across the bathroom and not next to the shower - so it's quite wet. My room was away from the road in the front which was good, otherwise I'd probably be less happy.
Very Big room , location is convenient”
1.Very near to Sule pagoda and heritage building. 2.Walking distance to China Town. 3. Walking distance to Yangon central railway station. 4. Allow extension of check out time to 6pm at USD25 5. Friendly staff and can speak English
Very good”
I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions over the past ten years this trip the rooms seem to have been renovated, very clean. The location in downtown is convenient to many attractions and the staff as always are both friendly and very helpful. Great value and a pleasant environment, would have no hesitation to recommend.
central location”
Standard hotel, excellent location for downtown Yangon.
