Amazing experience in a floating villa”
We had an awesome experience staying in one of the floating villas at Panvaree Resort. You start with an incredible boat ride on one of the longtails to the resort going through Khao Sok national park which is amazing. The rooms are pretty large with a decent sized bathroom located just outside the room. It comes with a balcony/deck at the front where you can swim and chill out. Everything was very clean and new towels provided if you want. We didn't know this but our booking included all meals and activities as well which was a pleasant surprise. So when we arrived lunch was served and a few hours later we were taken on a longtail again to explore parts of the park for sunset. When we arrived back at the resort dinner was ready half an hour later. In the morning just after sunrise we went searching for wildlife and saw wild boars and monkeys and in the afternoon we visited a cave in the park (wear long socks/trousers on this against leeches). Couple of things that could be improved with first of all there was only one staff member who speaks English. This wasn't a huge issue as all staff are super friendly and tried to accomodate all our needs as much as possible. Only time we noticed the lost in translation was with food, as they just kept brining food even though we said we were full. The other thing with the food as well is that there is no menu so you're just being given what the chef has prepared for that meal. Not a problem for us but everything had meat or fish as the main, so if you're vegetarian we'd recommend making this very clear at the start. Finally there is only 1 lounge chair on the deck, so if you both want to relax outside on the deck after swimming one will have to sit on the floor. All in all we had a lovely experience though and would highly recommend Panvaree Resort.

Magical experience ”
We loved everything about Panvaree. Such an awesome experience and would happily go again. Just a negative aspect - was the pick up at the pier. No communication and we nearly missed the boat. We’re told to be there for 11:30am departure and we arrived at 11am. Ready to go however they need a better system. No one knows where to wait, who is picking them up and what boat. If they can sort this out it would save a lot of stress in the beginning.

This floating hotel is a real treat. The staff are friendly and professional, the location is exceptional, breathtaking views to explore by boat or kayak. Rooms are big and AC at night. Price is worth it! Highly recommend.

Unbeatable location and experience. ”
The pictures on the website do a great job showing how amazing the location and accommodations are at Panvaree and then you see it for the first time at the end of a quick 40 minute long tail boat ride to the resort and you realize this could be the best decision you made on your trip. The resort is beautiful against the backdrop of the iconic Thai towering cliffs. We had a private bungalow and it was as advertised. The water is picture book blue/green, warm, and comfortable. We didn’t have time to take out a kayak however it was very popular at the resort. Food was traditional Thai, fresh, nutritious, and on point. And what an amazing staff. They were very helpful and always waiting to do what they can to enhance your experience. Highly recommended.

Amazing location”
This was one of the most amazing places we visited in Thailand--absolutely stunning! And it was wonderful to walk 8 steps out our doors and into the lake. Panvaree staff don't speak much English, but they were very friendly and tried to be helpful. There were some odd "misses" like limited food and beverages, hard beds, and too few deck chairs, but it was more than worth it to stay in this place. Our room was large and clean and our daughter loved the loft. They generally take guests on a morning and evening boat ride and offer a longer afternoon excursion with cave tour, all of which we enjoyed. They also provide transportation once per day from the Ratchaprapha Dam pier. Breakfast buffet is included and lunch and dinner are extra and the food was okay, but not a highlight. We stayed two nights (one full day), which we felt was just about perfect.

Once in a lifetime - beautiful”
Beautiful and unique hotel! Floating in a nook close to rocks. I like that they had free use of kayaks. Dinner was fixed 350 baht. The only thing I didn’t like is they didn’t ask what you wanted to eat (we had a vegetarian in the group) and they served us a TON of food. It was pretty good and they were accommodating afterward but we ended up with a bunch of leftover stuff we didn’t really need or want. I also wish they would go to more efforts to reduce waste, especially considering the natural environment that surrounds them (such as no plastic, straws, etc). Lastly, they state they have free boat services but it only runs once a day (11:30 am there, 9am to get off the resort) so it costs another 2000 baht if you miss the morning boat, plus the 9am departure off the resort forces you to check out very early which is unfortunate. Regardless, it was still a great stay and beautiful surroundings. Staff was friendly

Magical, stunning location”
There are so many positives about this place - the views and location cannot be beat and we had a peaceful, restful aleep. The service in the restaurant was fabulous and food was good - especially considering that they have to bring everything in by boat. We were concerned that there wouldn’t be enough kayaks for everyone but that was not a problem at all. The room was very clean. We were amazed that we saw monkeys right off the dock of our room. The kayaking and swimming around the lake were just spectacular. The management is really sweet but a little “sleepy”. The communication beforehand was a bit confusing on how we would find the boat to transport to the lodge. It all worked out and was fine but was not very organized. The only other downside was that the only “free” boat shuttle back to the pier was at 9:00 am which seemed quite early. We had to pay an extra $45 to leave later. All in all it was a fabulous stay!

Acceptable”
The landscape is beautiful but the “resort” shouldn’t be named a resort. It’s more a camping on the water with a soup kitchen. They say the have a restaurant but it’s not, you get to eat whatever they cook wich was a local caught diepfried fish every night, served cold. Buying a snack wasn’t possible because the lost the key to the cabinet. Why are the snack in a cabinet, like it’s somekind of precious good.. The room was ok but there was Some stuff broken, the shower cabinet was broken a door was missing. We where there for 3 night but they didn’t clean the room, make up the beds or gave us fresh towels once. But the thing that bothered me the most is that the charge different prices to different people. We went to the coral cave, wich is a 30 min boat ride than 30 min walk through the jungle for seeing the cave for 5 minutes, with a other couple and the paid 1200 bath and we had to pay 1900 bath. Back at the “resort” I asked the receptionist why we had to pay more and then she acted

Very scenic place”
Nothing tops scenery and location. Rooms are a bit dated and what some people may find disturbing is that even it’s yr personal bathroom, it’s still outside of yr room as well as a/c only from 5pm onwards. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Of our 4 weeks in Thailand this was by far our most expensive stay but also the worst! The landscape is beautiful but just go on a day trip and save yourself a lot of money!

Excellent”
The area this place is located is stunning! If you are looking for a quieter getaway for a few days, this place will give you peace and relaxation. We stayed in one of the King accomodations and it worked well for my two kids to share the loft space above - it had two large beds up there. Downsides would be lack of food options - my daughter has several diet restrictions and had trouble finding food offered that didn't have garlic or onion in it. Basically you get whatever they are serving. Electricity isn't provided till 5pm so you also don't have access to air conditioning before then. However they did allow one fan to be running during the day and if you opened the doors to the bungalow there was a great breeze that came through. This place offered free boat trips to sightsee a bit and an optional cave trek that cost a little extra. The staff was super sweet, but only one seemed to know any English and even she used a translator app for some of our conversations. Sometimes it was hard to ask questions or explain what we needed due to that, but they tried very hard to figure it out. The Panvaree Greenery is on the opposite side of this, pretty much connected. I noticed the Panvaree Green side had someone who did speak English that would explain what they were seeing when they were out on the various boat tours. That made me a little sad wishing our side also had that luxury so I could learn more about the area and the animals.

Magical experience! ”
It's amazing that this floating paradise exists so far away from roads and civilization! Panvaree is located in a beautiful spot, perfect for enjoying Cheow Lan lake. They provided everything we needed/wanted, from transport to and from the resort, food and tours, to kayaks and floating mats. We stayed for two nights, but could have stayed a day longer. It was wonderful to disconnect from the world and reconnect with nature. Would definitely stay there again!
