A good getaway from the busy city
A good place to escape from the city, the service was excellent and food at the restaurant was delicious. I stayed there for 2 nights but I think for me that's the most I can stay there ... The spa packages was expensive so I did not try any. There are no shops in the walking distance, you would need to rent a motorbike from the hotel to ride out to the nearest shop which is about 5 mins ride away. We took the shuttle from the hotel to the city, on the schedule there was a return shuttle at 5pm but the receptionist said that was not available. We had to either was for the next return shuttle at 10pm or get our own taxi from town which would cost about 1000 - 1500 bath depending how good you can bargain. Overall the stay was great and I would recommend and I think its suitable for couples on a romantic holiday.

Beautiful hotel in amazing location
We had a wonderful 3 day stay. Hotel and grounds are stunning. We had a family villa with a jacuzzi on the balcony and a private steam room. Room was huge and elegantly decorated. Downstairs the second bedroom was a tiny bit musty.. But with its own bathroom and kitchen area there was plenty of space for family of 5. There are enough spa facilities to pamper a small army and and epic if slightly chilly network of swimming pools and water falls. Some of the faculties were closed for maintenance when we went in August (but this is low season.) Lovely food and attentive service, it's a hotel I could heartily recommend. You should be aware that it's a long way into the chiang mai hills, so if you're not content with being stuck at the resort you need a vehicle.. Or if you're organised enough the hotel runs a daily shuttle into town which takes 45 mins

Very relaxing stay
A delightful location in the Mae Sa valley and many aspects of the hotel were superb. Particularly worthy of note were the the staff who were friendly, welcoming, helpful and exceptionally honest. (they returned 1,000 baht I left in the room. ) The pool is very nice but some of the other leisure facilities are looking a little tired and worn out. Other than that an excellent and enjoyable stay.

Good scenery but too far from town
Good scenery, nice restaurant, good and big room and value for money however really too far from Chiang Mai City. That is the reason the price is quite reasonable. The rooms are on the hill so you need to call their staff to carry you to restaurant or pool by golf car or you walk up or down by you own.

Everything is good at Panviman except its location.
It is too far away from Chiang Mai, even taxi red car driver refused to go to Panviman.
