An oldie but.......”
This place has seen better days but it’s still pretty cool. It’s next to a popular tourist spot and silk market that I took a walk-through but really didn’t see much of interest. The staff are very helpful and friendly. From my understanding the current owner is the daughter of the builder of the place, so it does have a bit of history. The room I stayed in was a good size but the carpet on the floor was old and stained. I wouldn’t walk on it barefoot. Plus the water pressure in the shower was not very good. That said, I wound up staying here two nights over New Year’s because every other place was booked. The bottom line is that I would do it again if I had to but I would look around at other places first.

A bit worn, fine in a pinch.”
This place has seen better days. The carpet was disgusting, to put it mildly. I wouldn’t walk on it in my bare feet. It probably wasn’t dirty but it was old and stained. The pressure in the shower wasn’t good at all, either. It was the only place I could find available around New Year’s so I stayed for two nights. I’d stay there again if I had to but it’s not the kind of place that I would bring my wife if I had a choice.

Above average”
PA papua bhuka hotel is the correct search for goggle map. If u follow the original link, it not the actual location. This hotel is out of town, but if u r looking for something budget just for a nite rest, it fine. The owner cooked delicious congee for morning brekkie. If u reached here around 6pm, those shop around here r closing, no more food for u.

Good scenic view, out of they city”
Pua is the nearest city, but this hotel is not in the city which is was I want. You need a car though to commute in town for something to eat. The room was small and there was no fridge. The bathroom did not have curtain, so when you take a shower you can look outside. In the morning the tour group tend to take group photo in front of the hotel porch which happens to be near my bathroom window and it was a bit annoying. Apart from that, the staffs were great. Lended me wine glasses and offerred to open to bottle for me. Nan people were great and kind.

Alpine style budget hotel with character”
The hotel is on the 1081 near Sila Laeng and just before the southern junction with the 1256 road -not a lot further on the 1256 as the current Agoda location map shows, Google Maps though is correct. The hotel is built into the side of a steep hill and has 2 main buildings. The building at the back in the woods holds the additional rooms while the building at the front is the main building which includes the reception and dining room. We had rooms at the front on the 3rd floor. The rooms are certainly small but not tiny and although the décor was plain/minimalist this was compensated by nice wooden surrounds to the beds and old style wooden window frames – which had warped a bit so the windows didn't close properly! Air-con worked fine though. We had a twin bed room and the mattresses were large singles and fairly thick, although the springs creaked a bit. There was no cupboard/shelving but there was a series of wooden hooks by the door where one could hang one's clothes. There was no room telephone, tea/coffee facilities, mini-bar/fridge or hair-dryer. The TV though was a decent 22inch or so CRT but only the 6 public Thai channels were received, ie no cable. The bathroom was also small though thankfully no bath so they could put in a proper shower stall. The shower head was small, though water pressure was good. No hot water tap in the washbasin but there was hot water from the shower. The great advantage of these rooms though were the views which were good, over to the mountains. This hotel is not standard Thai style and more than anything reminded us of some of the typical Alpine budget hotels in Europe. They had an especially nice rustic wooden staircase as well. They had free internet access. Breakfast though was fairly poor with little choice. The staff generally were polite and helpful. Although certainly not the most fancy of hotels, for a small Thai rural hotel it was fine and at least had some character to it, as well as decent mountain views.

Old hotel but good location”
Pua is a small town of Nan province. The best time to visit should be when the Chomphu Phuka flower blooms which will be in February. In winter time the weather is also presant. The european chalet style make this hotel differs from any other resorts in this area, actually it is the first hotel in this town. The hotel is rather old, however for stay overnight and going out to explore the Phuka national part is fine.

northern style, made of wood,”
we had a trip in nan for 3 night. fortunately , we stayed here for one night. we disliked bathroom which was so small. our rooms were on the fourth floor , the vip rooms . our group of four had only one man . sorry for him to service 3 ladies due to no elevator and no a bell boy. boiled rice in the morning was hot and delicious. if you like country life style , this hotel may be suitable.

Old hotel ”
It's quite an old hotel with necessary facilities. It may be a little difficult to walk from parking to room for elderly/over weight (hilly). Staff is helpful. Have both simple western-Thai breakfast.no security guard at the entrance.

Not too bad”
I had arrived the hotel when it started to rain. My car front wheels drive SUV was difficult climb up to the parking lodge because it was slip by rain. The hotel has a unique old style made from wood. The north side room are better and brighter than south side. Recommend the 3rd and 4th floor rooms for good viewing. The hotel is near 7-11 , Lotus express and restaurant. Easy to go to Doi Phuka.

Major renovation required and change of staff”
This place is falling apart. Furniture must be 30-40 years old, falling apart too. Horrible bathrooms, dirty sheets and carpets. Staff is the laziest I ever seen: 3 girls, didn't even come up to reception, instead they were drining beer at eve of Loy Krathong. Breakfast? Not worth mentioning. never again.
