Exceptional”
I booked the room on line and received an excellent heavily discounted rate. I was very pleasantly surprised when I entered the room to see the sheer value for money. The rate included breakfast, which wasn't the best. However I didn't book the room because of the included breakfast. I will absolutely stay at Paradise Island Resort again next time I have business in Surfers Paradise if I can find the same kind of rate on line.

Paradise Island Resort was lovely!!”
We absolutely loved our stay at Paradise Island Resort. We just needed to get away for a couple of nights but found ourselves not wanting to come home. The price was affordable, the presentation was perfect..very clean! The staff were absolutely lovely, very friendly and welcoming. And each meal we had was just delicious and well presented - and only $10 wow! We felt very welcome and part of the paradise island family. Thankyou once again to the management and staff we had a lovely time and can't wait to come back again. Kind Regards, Amy & Graeme Beard.

Paradise island resort is fantastic value for the money. Fully self contained studio , very clean and tidy with all facilities one could want plus a free breakfast . Just a stone throw from all the shops, transport and beach. This resort is a big yes from me .

Absolutely would book here again, although with two 12yr old's i will book an apartment next time”
Biggest pro would have to be breakfast After reading some reviews after booking, I wasn't expecting much, although breakfast both day's was amazing Yes you do get sausages to have with your eggs, the yogurts were especially my favorite Our room was very clean, nothing I can or would pick fault with Staff were very pleasant and very helpful I stayed with my 12yr old son and 12yr old granddaughter, we have already spoken regarding staying again when next we can My daughter and hubby plus my other granddaughter came the day before we left to have a bbq together The resort was so quiet, only a couple minutes walk into surfers where we spent most of new year's night having a ball because everything was so close Star casino was a few minutes drive from resort, there is plenty to do and see within walking distance, without having to pay high prices for accommodation

My birthday holidays”
I spent my birthday in GC last week and my 3 days stay at Paradise Island was really good! The staff were friendly and they will assist you with all your questions. They will address your concerns and will take actions. The Riverview was nice and the place was really relaxing. I just want to suggest if you can have a different variety of foods in your breakfast buffet that would be awesome😅 but other than that it was great! Thanks!

Paradise Island Resort lovely, problem with the couch in room 203, sitting on wooden slats plus bed sinks in middle, needs upgrading. Rest of resort lovely. Love

Clean tidy excellent breakfast ”
Disappointed to be woken by cleaning staff at 5.30am cleaning with high pressure vacuum outside our room, when I asked them to cease they didn’t, we were on holiday omg , otherwise the stay was you get what you pay for room was clean and welcoming as were desk staff, the bistro breakfast was great and clean tables and altogether spotless, for a reasonably priced accommodation I would recommend Paradise Island Resort .

Worth the Money!”
For the money, the place does offer some nice pools and spa. The river views were pleasant. The staffs were pretty disappointing at the reception. For the money they charged for the stay, I would say it did work out well in the end. The place is close to surfers paradise so easy access to beaches, restaurants and other facilities.

Acceptable room this time”
We dreaded staying again at this place (we pre-booked and paid for our accommodation) after previously spending 3 nights there with uncleaned room with broken facilities. Happy to say the room we were allocated was newer with no broken bits. Still, you need to know that the room is only cleaned once a week (or you can pay $15 for each additional cleaning), and you have to clean and dry all dishes (there is no dishwasher and they only provided very little diluted dish washing liquid), and throw away your rubbish. On the positive side, there is a free buffet cooked and continental breakfast, and the location is within walking distance to tramps and busses; and handy to Surfers Paradise stores and attractions. Wifi speed is acceptable for Australia standard (don't expect quick internet in Australia as their network seem to be still stuck in 1995), although it keeps asking you to login. Staff are friendly and generally helpful.

The Resort seems a little tired”
At the price this resort is not too bad and the location is 10/10 - very easy walking distance to the heart of Surfers Paradise and Caville Avenue. The real disappointment for me was the restaurant which only opens for the worst-presented breakfast on the planet! The actual food is very nice but the people who run it (I assume they lease it from the Resort) have gone out of their way to save every cent they can by using plastic plates and cutlery and foam cups, yes, FOAM CUPS, for coffee, water, juice etc. And the coffee on offer? Instant powder - "International Roast" - perhaps mankind's greatest insult to coffee. So, to beat the system, I took my own Coffee Bags with me and the cup from my room - problem solved. All I had to deal with then was how to tackle my food with very low-end budget plastic cutlery that bent or snapped when trying to attack the food. On the upside, the restaurant is on the side of the main canal so it was quite calming having breakfast on the deck.

Great time at Paradise Island Resort”
I was really worried after reading reviews as I had booked 2 weeks there. However, I did not need to worry. We were given newly renovated rooms which included new carpet, bed and sheets, freshly painted walls. Only problem with room was bar fridge door did not stay closed. The breakfast was free which included potato gems, mini sausages, pancakes, baked beans or tin spagetti, toast, crumpets, english muffin, cereals, yogurt, watermelon, ice coffee, chocolate milk, oj, tea/coffee. Cant really complain as its free but only thing was plastic plates are not environmentally friendly. Staff were friendly and helpful especially Jimmy at reception and girls in kitchen. Spa and swimming pool was relaxing. The new manager is currently doing amazing things to improve the resort. Would go back 😊

Great value for money ”
It is the perfect location. Neat and tidy rooms. Has a pool, spa and sauna. Nice views from the balcony. Free parking. It’s one of the best value stays in the Gold Coast.

Fabulous location for a fabulous price”
Still plenty of room even with the extra trundle bed in the room. Fresh decor. Ceiling fans and air con in the room. All self contained providing everything you could possibly want. Outdoor pool and spa were lovely. Spa was so hot. Had a pleasant afternoon lounging on the poolside bed. Breakfast was an absolute bonus being included in an already great price. Lots of different options at the buffet. Location was brilliant. Couple of minutes walk to the beach and shops. But the resort is out of the hustle and bustle itself. Very peaceful. Free underground parking made the trip perfect. Will look forward to my next stay.

Great place & hassle free !”
This was a great place to stay in Gold Coast. The check in & check out were a breeze: very efficient! People at desk very helpful, security was very good & place was spacious & clean ( first time I was surprised the actual rooms were bigger than they looked in the pictures ) ! The mini apartment is well kept, better than the elevator or the corridor. Garage was secure & very handy. The beach is just a short walk distant.

Great place”
Stayed in the one bedroom unit. Very comfortable and spacious. Didn't use the cooking facilities, but everything there if you want to cook for yourself. Deep bath, good shower, and washer and dryer in the unit. Bed was a touch firm, but thats just me..... Nice balcony. DVD player with TV. Pool and spa were great. Gym looked good, and enjoyed the steam and sauna rooms. Continental breakfast was better than expected; eggs, sausages, burger patties, beans, spaghetti, toast, cereal, fruit and juices. Easy walk over the bridge to the centre of Surfers. Staff we dealt with were very pleasant.

Great price but bed, washing machine and dryer broken”
We stayed 3 nights in this apartment that has a broken bed with missing slats, a couch with cushions that look stained, washing machine that was completely broken and dryer with cracked glass. Furthermore, you need to know that the room is only cleaned once a week (or you can pay $15 for each additional cleaning), and you have to clean and dry all dishes (there is no dishwasher and they only provided enough diluted dish washing liquid for a couple of plates), and throw away your rubbish. Good location, ok room, but unpleasant exp for me”
close to beach (5 mins walk) n surfers paradise(15min) walk. room is clean, no room serverce, so u need to clean up before check out. facility is relatively old, it's more for long term stay i guess. if u r looking for a hotel type place, this is not! river by the resort is stinky tho, so bbq by the river is not very nice, plus lots of mosquito.... pool is not very clean, i saw them throwing lots of powders into the pool one day, never going again after that. unfortunately we lost our key on the beach, they charge $400 for lost key, super expensive!!! they said its locksmith charge, but, who knows......
