Peaceful & Relaxing”
Pros: quiet and peaceful, private beach, take a kayak out to explore the nearby beaches, very romantic if here with a partner, great food, very good value Cons: very isolated and takes some effort to get to (part of the reason why it’s peaceful and relaxing when you finally arrive), make sure you bring everything you need because you can’t go down the street to get supplies, tried to fill the jacuzzi but ran out of hot water before it was even 1/3 full so not sure how that’s meant to function A lovely place to stay for a few days.
Quick stay ”
We stayed at this resort for one night so we heard the island was excellent. Unfortunately we were unaware initially how far the resort is from the pier. The cost for a transfer from the pier and back was 1600 baht. Quite pricy for our one night stay. The hotel will arrange a transfer but it is more expensive. Food was great. Resort offers a fine dining restaurant on the beach with amazing views. Also a more casual affordable option also on the beach. Room was excellent with a nice outdoor shower, pool nice and refreshing. Staff were very accommodating and provided us with breakfast to go as we were leaving prior to breakfast being served the following morning. Excellent place to stay for a few days. Also a nice new resort next door by the same owner.
We had an amazing experience at this location. Remote but gorgeous. You really get the Thailand experience, being in the middle of nowhere in the gorgeous outdoors. staff was awesome and you didn't want for anything. Gorgeous room. Wonderful experience.
Wonderful resort but take the boat there”
Do not take a car/tuktuk to the hotel. Arrange for the boat transfer in advance. Other than that this resort was absolutely gorgeous in every little detail. It was relaxing and had amazing views of the limestone cliffs from their hammocks and sun chairs on the beach.
It's quite place and it is really a paradise”
Pros: very nice tropical place , very nice and clean room, wonderful beach, amazing restaurant, very friendly members of staff , tropical birds , very quiet , relaxful place Cons: isolated from the centre, difficult to access and it cost a lot to get there the sea is nice nice but it's rocky inside and we didn't enjoy swimming .. the pool was not great Overall definitely would recommend , value for money 🙂
The yoga instructor talks too much instead of just letting you relax in the class.
Outragious price for rooms. Drinks and food is redicules expensive. All is to much overprised. 7 to 8 times the normal prices in Thailand
Fantastic Hotel, Can be difficult to get to”
An amazing hotel secluded within in the trees on its own private beach. Amazing facilities (Spa, Yoga, Pool etc...) but can be difficult to get to. Be wary of approaching the hotel by taxi (~25 minutes of off-roading). Better option is to go to Thao Khao pier and arrange a long tail boat through the hotel, approx 800 Baht. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a private, romantic stay and who are willing to brave the trip in.
Beautiful and Serene”
My husband were here for our honeymoon and the resort generously upgraded us to the Beachfront Pool Villa. We loved every bit of our stay. The staff were attentive, accommodative and friendly. Just one thing to improve on would be the bed, the mattress was a tad stiff. But overall great place and would definitely recommend the resort.
Everything's Great, Just plan ahead for the Airport Transfers”
From our visit, we realised that there are only two transfers into and out of the island, one morning and one afternoon. Plan ahead if you want to make your transfer jive with your departure or arrival.
Absolutely stunning in every way”
Everything was 1st class. The staff couldn't do enough to help you. 80% of the resort staff are locals and give replace a gorgeous feel. We went on the most isolated and gorgeous kayak trips, swing in padded hammocks, did yoga, had amazing massages, enjoyed breathtaking views and ate great food. Breakfast was included in our room and was deliciois! It is and extra stop from phuket or krabi but if you're prepared to take the boat ride across to Koh Yao Noi you will be rewarded with one of the most indulgent and remote places I've ever enjoyed staying at. Loved every second.
Sawasdee Krab Sarah, thanks for writing such a great review about your stay in Paradise. We're glad you enjoyed your stay and hopefully we get to see you again.
Paradise is Paradise, worth to go!!”
Room: I stayed at the Jacuzzi Studio for 2 nights (room 412, it's a little bit walk up but it's totally fine, just 2-3 mins), the room is huge with balcony and a nice view to the resort itself + a little of the ocean view since there are many trees/plants around. Overall the room is prefect and price is totally reasonable. Food: There are 2 restaurants, one with breakfast/lunch/dinner (mixed thai and western food) and the other one is only for dinner (italian) which I didn't try as I checked the menu, overall price is a little higher than the other one. For the breakfast which is included, not huge range of food but anything you need like different kind of breads/cheese/yogurt/fruits/salad bar/omelette/fried egg/fried rice/noodle/some hot dishes etc. For lunch and dinner, we tried both thai and western food and all are delicious (more than I expected), it's around 500baht per head for lunch and around 1000baht per head for dinner. There are two bars, one by the pool and the other one by the beach facing the sea on the other side which is very relaxing and romantic. Resorts area: beach front is nice, view is nice, we could just sit there for the few hours, swimming pool is nice. but that would be better to have more shower area around the resort, we just found 1 by the pool. Activities: there are lots of choice provided from the resort, if you wanna join the tour, you have to pay for sure, we wanted to join the Kayak tour but price is a little expensive (around $3000baht per head), so we just rent a double canoe for less than $300baht for 4 hrs which is very cool. There are something free like table tennis, beach volleyball, soccer etc. Also when you check in, they give you a voucher for a free Yoga session. SPA: What I must mention is the SPA in the resort, when you check in, beside the yoga voucher, you also get a free 30mins massage voucher (they do it outdoor by the swimming pool on the beach) and you can upgrade to 60mins spa with around $1000baht cha
Peaceful with beautiful view”
I loved this hotel!! I couldn't ask for more, it was so peaceful (which I needed on this trip), staffs were really helpful and friendly with good service mind. The beach is gorgeous, I spent most of my day there. They have a lot of activities to offer, in case you want to do something. The only thing that I didn't feel up to it that much was the limited choices of food at both restaurants, plus food and drinks here were quite pricey compared to its quality and considering they're only 4-star hotel.
Unusual start but lovely place”
We had a bad start to our stay as our luggage caught fire on the jetty. However the staff were efficient in putting out the fire and were able to save the majority of our clothes etc. However others were not quite so lucky! Both of our cases were destroyed in the fire and the hotel made sure that both were replaced by going over to the mainland and purchasing replacements. We now await the feedback from the insurance regarding the rest of the damaged belongings. Other than that, I would recommend visiting The Paradise for a relaxing, stress free break, away from it all. The hotel also provided cake for my daughter's birthday, which was a nice touch. On the downside, the transport to and from the hotel (although we didn't pay for the reasons stated above) are / would have been very expensive indeed - 1900 Bht per person per way!
indeed is a paradise by the beach”
My stay at the resort was superb. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a staff who picked us up using a buggy. Hospitality was excellent, food was good too. The scenery is indeed breath taking, especially sunrise. However, just one thing that when we checked out, one of the staff said we can walk to the pier ourselves to take the speedboat. But later on another staff drove us there, which was good.
Great place to relax or be active!”
We had a lovely stay in room 322. Whilst we did not have a view of the ocean, it was still a comfortable room. Both my husband and I were ill during our stay and the person doing the housekeeping was very helpful and it was lovely to see her smiling face each day. The rooms are very comfortable and the bed has a mosquito net, which ensured a great nights sleep each day. It is wonderful that the soap and shampoo are provided in dispensers as it lessens the environmental impact of plastic packaging. It was wonderful to see that the resort had considered the effects of disposable items. Even in the restaurant, there were fabric napkins rather than disposable ones. The swimming pool was clean and refreshing to swim in. We enjoyed our stay and will be back again for sure.
Comfortable accommodation with spectacular scenery”
We had a great stay at the resort and enjoyed the tour of the island that involved a boat to Tha Khao and a taxi ride to the village. It was a nice relaxing atmosphere and great for unwinding and enjoying the tropical climate.
Beautiful location with clean comfortable rooms”
We had a lovely stay at The Paradise Koh Yao. We chose the location as the resort was located within walking distance of some magnificent rock climbing walls. The beach, sunsets and sunrises were simply breathtaking. The rooms were comfortable and the beds have mosquito nets. There was a lemongrass candle lit for us each evening to repel mosquitoes and I thought this was a very nice touch. The staff were lovely. In particular, the restaurant staff were so nice to talk to and it was great that they recognised us each morning and even remembered our drinks preferences. We stayed in room 452. It was quite a walk to get from the restaurant to the room, but I'm sure they would have provided transport for anyone who was not able to manage the stairs and hilly terrain. In all, we would recommend staying at The Paradise. It is quite isolated though, and this means that transport to other restaurants and attractions will add significantly to the cost of your holiday. Our recommendation to the resort would be to provide a complimentary shuttle to the village several times per day so that people can explore the island more. We hired a motorbike from Tha Khao and was very happy to have the freedom to move around a bit more. The road to The Paradise Resort is VERY rough, though. It is not safe in wet weather and becomes very slippery, but for those who have experience in off-road biking, it will be no problem. In all a great stay and we will be back.
Seclusion and Privacy”
The hotel is ideal for couples wanting privacy and seclusion. The deluxe room had all that we wanted and more. The jacuzzi was a welcome bonus particularly as the large window when open let in a copious amounts of sunshine. The food and drink was reasonably priced for such a hotel and the Thai buffet fare particularly enjoyable.
Paradise location HELL management - not worth it.”
Don’t be fooled by the word paradise. Paradise for the location yes...it ends there. You are stuck secluded from anywhere paying their high prices for substandard f&b and general hotel additional such as kayak HIRE...that’s bit even the worst of it. Their management is horrendous (!). We arrived as two solo travellers requested twin beds to find one king bed. On requesting a change the manager (Ms Lee) was extremely aggressive, unwilling to suggest any compromise for the hotels fault for not informing us of the room situation apart from a child’s food out bed (both me and my friend are 6ft3 tall...). We had to take the matter to the General Manager as Ms Lee was so poor at her job of dealing with hotel guests correctly. We spent an hour wasted over the phone with Ms Lee refusing to come to the room and speak in person and then another 45mins on departure waiting to speak to someone else. A real pity as a nice location but so poorly managed.
