Love this location ”
Location was exceptional. the room was clean and well equipped. The pool was good across road from the beach, shops, cafes and restaurants.. very good. Park for kids across the road. downstairs was the local bar and restaurant.. great selection of restaurants..
Nothing fancy but comfortable and very clean. We had one bedroom apartment which was spacious with all amenities. Wifi was sometimes week, did not work in a bedroom. The hotel is located on a beautiful promenade in front of a nice beach great for swimming. Many barbecue spots around. Convenient location between Cairns and Port Douglas. Excellent spot for Great Barrier Reef exploration, you can book your trip in the lobby. There are many restaurants in Palm Cove, however they are overpriced and quality of food and service was quite poor. You can use bus 110 to Cairns (the stop is just in front of the hotel) but car rental is highly recommended. Otherwise excellent choice.
Beautiful location, Excellent service”
On arrival we were greeted by a lovely lady at reception, and she provided us details on our surroundings. We required the sofa bed to be made up and within minutes housekeeping were there attending to this. The ladies from housekeeping were fantastic and we had the pleasure of seeing one of the ladies a couple of times over the weekend. The bedding was comfortable and there was a lovely day bed and couch out on the balcony. Would happily stay again.
Value for money was good and the hotel was very clean”
I didn't spend much time in the hotel other than to sleep, but it was very clean and tidy.
Good value for money”
The room is basic but incredibly well kept and very clean. Justwhat we needed for a two day stop over. Location was s great and the staff are friendly. There is a pool, which we didn’t use, and bbq facilities. For the price at this time of year, we’ll recommended.
The staff were lovely and very helpful. My room was lovely and clean and had a relaxing feeling. Property was in a great spot close walk to restaurants & convenience store. It is a beautiful location.
Boutique hotel, nice rooms and great location”
I loved the intimate feel of this well located 42 room hotel. The staff were friendly and accomodating and I felt it was good value for the money. There was a little kitchen area with bar fridge, coffee station , microwave, dishes and utensils. The one odd thing was there was only one sink which might be an issue if more than two people were sharing this room. I wandered through much larger resorts nearby and didn’t care for the impersonal feel of them. There is a good restaurant, bar, coffee shop etc right in the same block, plus a convenience store, deli, ice cream shops, resortwear shops etc. very near. Our room had a walk out to the very nice pool area (except for the peeling paint on the wall of the spa, please fix properly!). I love the feeling of Palm Cove and was told many of the residents first came as visitors then returned in later years to live permanently. I hope to be another of those.
Stayed here for seven days. Was sparkling clean in the studio room we had which had a kettle, toaster and a microwave and a dining table. The aircon was great. We ate out every day, apart from breakfast, and there are lots of restaurants nearby. As it isn't high season, not all the restaurants were open all the time. The pool which is secluded in the centre of the resort is a little too deep for me at one end (2.7 m) but I know my limitations. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful, and the cleaner who I did not see did a great job. Would definitely recommend this hotel for location, service and quality if rooms.
A little piece of paradise”
Paradise on the Beach Resort was a welcome retreat for 2 nights for my partner and I. Check in went smoothly with everything explained in detail. We were in a room on level 3 at the back of the building. Even though it was at the back we had a pleasant view out across the pool to the beach across the road. This resort is in a handy spot with lots of restaurants within walking distance. The room had a lovely king size bed and was very clean and comfortable. It suited us well. On the first night we were able top park our hire car under the building but on the second night we had to park across the road, which was fine. Overall a very pleasant stay.
Hidden gem with exceptional service”
Self contained 1 bedroomed apartment on the Esplanade. Spacious, exceptional Service by all staff and spotless. It's the extras that make a good holiday a great one. Free parking and wifi. Unlimited beach towels and rain umbrellas. Knowledgeable staff. Location location location opposite beach. Best of all very reasonably priced
Really enjoyed our stay at Paradise on the Beach. We were in town for a short visit (mainly to see Reef) but thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Staff was super friendly and helpful! Would highly recommend!!
School holiday break”
Having my daughters bed In front of the only telly wasn't ideal. The bedroom was lovely. The kitchen was fine except their was a leak under the sink. The kitchen/ lounge a bit devoid of character. The pool was nice and great being so close to everything. We were most surprised at how well the room was freshened up the second day. Above and beyond what was expected for cleanliness.
A wonderful place that I will recommend to others”
Firstly the location is quite good. It is convenient no matter what I want to do and where I want to go. Eating, walking, sending postcards, taking bus even booking a short trip and everything. Secondly I do really love the environment and the room is clean and big enough. The air condition works well and so big hhhhhhh Swimming pool and the bbq area are also good. As to service, the staff in the hotel are willing to anwser your question. I enjoy my travel and everyone is so nice and always smile. Palm cove is a good place to relax. I love sea. Hope that I have one more chance to get there.
It sure is paradise”
Loved my stay at Paradise, we started each day with a swim in the hotel pool, that was surrounded by palm and paperbark trees. It was great to be able to walk to everything with so many dining options to choose from. We only had to walk a couple of metres out the door to the cafe downstairs for a coffee. The room was spaciuos, the beds were comfortable and the staff were very friendly. I hope I can return soon.
Well worth it!”
My partner and I had a fantastic stay over the grand final weekend. Staff were exceptionally nice & helpful and made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived (we also arrived early but were still able to check in). The spot is right across from the beach and in the middle of some nice places to eat and have a drink. The rooms are simple but provide everything you need, and there is a nice BBQ area which is always clean. If I return to Palm Cove this is where I'll be staying! There is onsite parking, however it is limited and can take a bit of manuvering if you have a larger car, however there is plenty of parking in a free car park a 4 min walk away, so it is not a major issue.
Privately owned unit in Mantra Portsea. Close to main street (Macrossan Street) Very easy access to beach. 2 minute walk. Lots of facilities in the complex. Unit is very clean and well appointed. Perhaps too much decoration for a holiday unit.
Fantastic little resort in the heart of Paradise”
We stayed at Paradise on the Beach for 3 nights, but now wish we should have booked longer. The amazing service we received from the staff really made our stay. We had an early arrival and called ahead to ask if it was possible to check in early. We were lucky our room was available and it wasn't a problem. Martine on reception is an absolute gem!! We were welcomed so warmly and she did everything possible to make sure we settled into our room comfortably. Honestly, I almost gave her a hug she was so friendly!! Our room was just as described on the booking site. We had a one bedroom apartment with a kitchenette. The room was spotless and it was so good to walk in and have the aircon & fans already on. The bed was a comfy zipped king and the linen felt luxurious, and it was so clean!! The towels were beautifully clean. Everything was clean!! Credit to the housekeeping staff, I can be a bit picky with hotel rooms and cleanliness, but had no problems at all. Our balcony was divine - with a lounge and daybed - which is where I spent a LOT of time, very comfy. Our balcony looked over the end of the pool/spa area, although we also looked right into other guest's balconies and vice versa. Our room (304) was on the third floor, which you have to walk up a flight of stairs to reach. The elevator only goes two floors up, but we knew this already and wasn't a problem for us. Carparking was ok for us, there are limited spots though and it's first in best dressed. They have free wi-fi, works best on the balcony. Our room was right at the back of the resort and only dropped out a couple of times. This place is perfect, will be staying again for sure.
Lovely hotel, great staff, fantastic location”
We stayed just for one night at the Paradise on the Beach Resort and enjoyed every minute. The location is just great directly at the esplanade opposing the beach. We were greeted by super friendly staff and shown to our room, which was located on the first floor with beach view and balcony. We did not try the breakfast. The pool is fantastic and quiet. Overall very satisfied with this hotel!!
Comfortable, convenient last minute stay”
Booked Paradise on the Beach Resort last minute on a Saturday evening as we wanted to be within a half hour drive to the Cairns airport but not in Cairns (which definitely isn't as nice as Palm Beach). Staff had a convenient system to meet us with the keys for a late arrival. Many restaurant choices were along the esplanade right outside our door. We enjoyed a glass of wine after dinner on our balcony overlooking the pool. Our only quibble was that the pool and hot tub were not open (no posted times seen) and there was noise from a nearby bar but it was much less when the balcony doors were closed. Would still recommend this clean, convenient, well decorated accommodation to others.
Perfect for r and r”
Great sized 1 bedroom apartment. Access to pool spa and BBQ. Small well stocked kitchenette so we didn't have to eat out 3 x a day. Staff were amazingly helpful and friendly, quiet and central location.
