Paradise Road - Tintagel Colombo Hotel is Colombo’s foremost luxury hotel, situated in the heart of the city’s most elite neighborhood. Offering 10 unique suites with all modern amenities and services, the property is housed in a stunning heritage structure of national importance that was previously home to three of the Sri Lanka’s political leaders. Paradise Road - Tintagel Colombo Hotel’s 10 suites have high ceilings, timber floors, and are luxuriously decorated, each in its unique combination of color, texture, and atmosphere. A stunning lap pool on the Ground Floor and private gym on the First with a treadmill, cross trainer and free weights, and steam room, Paradise Road - Tintagel Colombo Hotel is a haven to return to for those business travelers at the end of the day. A massage room with a deluxe bed is available for special treatments, or if preferred, treatments may be provided in the privacy of the guest’s suite. THE RED BAR is nothing short of stunning. Blood red lacquer and polished cement finished walls frame this room, where an antique gilded Parisian mirror provides an impressive backdrop. A privileged few can lounge in this hip space on black leather upholstered chairs at bronze tables. Come for a private meeting, romantic tête-à-tête, or just for an unaccompanied nightcap.

Superbly stylish boutique hotel in Central Colombo”
Stylish, sophisiticated, civilised, an oasis of tranquility in central Colombo in a very chic neighbourhood. We loved our stay at the Tintagel, so much that we booked again for our last night in Sri Lanka. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. The staff were warm, friendly, professional, attentive yet informal and extremely helpful. A special thank you goes to Anton the general manager who went above and beyond the call of duty to help us organise a hire car for the second week of our holiday. Fantastic service. Our room was amazing, spacious, beautifully designed with a fabulous bathroom, soft fluffy towels, huge bath and very comfortable bed. The breakfast in the morning served outside in the patio garden was the best we experienced in Sri Lanka. Delicious freshly prepared fruit, juices, the Sri Lankan breakfast (don't miss out - must be ordered the night before) was sublime with freshly cooked hoppers to order. We chose to eat out, travelling to and from the hotel was very easy either by tuk tuk or car and took no time at all to zip around and it was a pleasure to return from the hustle of the city to the tranquil calm interior of the Tintagel. If you're in Colombo the do not miss the chance to stay at the Tintagel. Highly recommended, a fantastic hotel.
Calm sanctuary in Colombo!”
Paradise Road - Tintagel Colombo Hotel is a great boutique hotel, centrally located within easy reach of central Colombo by tuk tuk. You're made to feel instantly relaxed as soon as you enter the hotel and enjoy their homemade ginger ale! The facilities are great and if you have a late evening flight like we did you can use the hotel including pool and shower etc to freshen up before you go. It definitely felt like a home away from home with all the touches you would and wouldn't always expect - the staff go above and beyond to help with any request

Paradise Road Tintagel is a slice of 'paradise'”
We were thoroughly impressed with our stay at Paradise Road, Tintagel Colombo. beautiful service, attentive but never intrusive. All the staff were professional, full of smiles, impeccably groomed, friendly & helpful. the interiors are stylish and comfortable. Breakfast was beautifully presented and abundant. Our room was huge and comfortable. The only downside was it was located right next to the kitchen so at night there was a lot of noise and the drone of the exhaust fans could be heard throughout the night. We will definitely return and hopefully next time we can get a room upstairs.
Beautiful hotel with lovely rooms.”
We stayed at the Paradise Road - Tintagel Colombo Hotel for 3 nights when we 1st arrived at Colombo. The staff greeted us with a refreshing ginger lemon soda and were professional with the check in. The rooms were beautifully decorated. The service was very good, the best we received compared to the other hotels we stayed in in Sri Lanka.
Quiet luxury, excellent service.”
It was an excellent stay at Paradise Road Tintagel Colombo! We loved the design which combines modern and oriental furniture inside a colonial town house. The hotel is s destination by itself!
Best hotel in Colombo”
We had a fabulous few days at Paradise Road Tintagel, the hotel is clearly ahead of all its peers in Colombo in terms of service, cleanliness, facilities etc. The place is beautifully decorated and you immediately feel at home there.
best experience in Sri Lanka”
Tintagel was our favourite hotel in Sri Lanka. The hotel is in a beautiful building which was once the family home of a Sri Lankan president. It is cool and chic, has beautiful rooms and a superb restaurant. My husband had lost his credit card in an ATM and Rilwan at reception went out of his way to assist. I could not fault the hotel and would highly recommend Tintagel if you are looking for a luxurious haven from bustling Colombo.
Excellent!”
Tintagel is a very, very good " boutique" hotel. The entire ambience is welcoming with a couple of excellent features being the very comfortable lobby and guest lounge, a wonderful reading room, an inviting bar, a really great patio for breakfast and dinner and a very inviting, albeit modest sized, swimming pool. The rooms are spacious and very well furnished with a comfortable bed and a very well appointed bathroom. The quality of breakfast, dinner and a rather indulgent afternoon tea were all absolutely top class. It is reasonably convenient to the attractions of Colombo and you can take a pleasant walk to the impressive Town Hall and do a little exploring around the local area. This is a good hotel and is highly recommended.
Value for money!”
the Tintagel hotel was worth every single cent! the staff was super friendly. looking after me and my needs to the max. the room I had was well maintained and I had a spacious balcony for private use.the pool is stylish but more for cooling down, rather than for a propper swim. I had breakfast only but that was very nice. fresh fruit, good coffee and superb service. the overall ambience of the hotel and its facilities is very well maintained and styled with an eye for detail. overall conclusion: when I go back to Colombo, I will go back to this beautiful hotel!
Never disappointing”
Our stay was great, we have used Paradise Road - The Villa in Bentota - previously which made us book the Tintagel for our Colombo stay and we were not disappointed.
Lovely quiet paradise of calmness”
I was lucky to be taken care of by the Tintagel staff. They are all not only very kind but also accomodate the questions and needs of a single female traveler in Colombo. The room was very confortable, the food escellent, and the pool a treat. There is art everywhere, the library has everything from Harry Potter to books on architecture (Geoffrey Bawa) and on Buddhism, always fresh flowers, much attention to detail. During my stay, I had the feeling of being the only one. There were other guests but there are enough rooms and terraces to sit that you can experience total seclusion. A true enjoyment.
Flawless stay”
Excellent service, spacious rooms, have all the facilities you would need (gym, pool, library), amazing breakfast (esp the Sri Lankan one), walking distance from shops and attractions, amenities from Paradise Road seems to be natural and very pleasant (I am very picky about body products). Feels like home away from home but with a touch of hospitality and luxury, would come back again and recommend anyone looking for an extraordinary stay in Colombo
Very pretty place in the middle of Colombo”
we had a great stay at the tintagel colombo hotel. this beautiful boutique hotel is a truely recommendable. the staff is very friendly, although the waiters might need some additional training. unfortunately, the hotel does not have an alcohol license which is a pitty when you are enjoying the last day of your holidays. if you bring your own, the staff will pour it for you at your table.. so be advised!
Such an amazing hotel- Highly reccomend”
The Paradise Tintagel is super classy and luxury! the staff, food, facilities were all superb, and I could not recommend more for your visit to Colombo.
Best in Sri Lanka”
Beyond expectations! Everything about Tintagel fills your needs before you knew you had a need. The rooms, bathrooms, dining, location and overall elegance was far, far better than the two nights we stayed at the Galle Face Hotel the first two nights in Sri Lanka. Tintagel finished off our vacation with peace and quiet. The pool, spa, gym (didn't use) food.....try the seafood fettuccine Alfredo and the lobster bisque.
I would not have the slightest hesitation in recommending this hotel to visitors to Colombo. ”
Located in the quiet 'up-market' district 7 of the city, this hotel is with just a few rooms will take you back to another era. Built by Dr Lucien de Zilwa in 1930. The house has a fascinating history and became the family home of the Bandaranaike family, whose patriarch, Solomon West Ridgeway Bandaranaike became the country's Prime Minister in 1956. He was shot on the veranda of the house and subsequently died. His wife, Sirimavo, took over as PM becoming the world's first Prime Minister and, having won two general elections, Sri Lanka's the longest serving Prime Minister. She died in Tintagel in 2000. The political dynasty continued with the son and youngest daughter Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga becoming the first female President of the country. The house is decorated stunningly with artworks wherever you look. The staff are wonderfully attentive without being intrusive. Food excellent, the 'interior' pool a delight, the bar area restful & the library a tranquil haven.
Beautiful space ”
Lovely property located in Colombo. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the bathrooms are great. The staff are very helpful and the area is lovely with the Paradise Road gallery shop a few minutes walk as well as a really lovely park teeming with trees and wildlife. Would definitely stay again.
Amazing!”
We stayed at Tintagel as a birthday treat for my husband.. When I made the booking I mentioned about his birthday. Eventhough I didnt have high hopes of getting any special treatment, they not only sent a lovely cake but they also sent some amazing cookies as a treat! Breakfast was really good and we were too full from that to have lunch.. The only con we saw was that we were not given a welcome drink despite us seeing a couple of foreigners who were checking in receiving one which was really odd..but other than that their service was really good..All in all we loved our stay and we would definitely stay at Tintagel again...
Excellent”
We flew into Columbo and headed for the Tintagel and didn't want to leave. Couldn't find fault with this place even if I tried. We stayed in a suite that was uses by Charles and Camilla. It was a large bedroom with four poster bed, separate bathroom, study and balcony. There's a great pool for chalking up a few lengths in the morning before taking breakfast in the terrace walled garden. Dining is a must and all the food is divine. All the staff are very professional and friendly who surprised me with a birthday cake. Without a doubt, this was the best place we stayed during our visit to Sri Lanka. A home from home.
